Unfortunately the breakfast is served up two flights of stairs with no elevator. As one of my companions is mobility impaired we were unable to get to have the breakfast at the hotel. I had advised the hotel of my companions challenges and it would have been nice if I had been informed of the situation beforehand so I could cancel the reservation and rebook at a suitable location. Otherwise the hotel was adequate.

Part of a property that includes a restaurant, a liquor store and a defunct nightclub, it didn't look prepossessing. But it was clean and decently up to date. Breakfast was nice. Great area convenient to the better shopping/dining area in MH.

We stayed for one night on our roadtrip. The check-in was friendly and courteous and the front desk staff knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel needs to address the issues for mobility challenged guests....like automatic front doors and an elevator to get to the breakfast area or level for the restaurants.

the toilet was stinky, the floor was very dirty (my daughter walked on the floor with her bear feet. The bottom of her feet was as black as coal. No exaggeration.) The pillow covers were smelly and yellow brown. We asked for clean pillows but never got any. We put the pillows away and slept without any pillows.

This may be an older building, but you sure wouldn't know it from the rooms. My room was thoroughly modernized and very comfortable. Importantly, the staff was very nice to deal with. With hotel rates drifting upward, I've been trying different hotels in an effort to economize where I can. I'm happy to report that the Baymont hits the sweet spot of quality and price. I will be staying here on my next trip to Medicine Hat!

Great location that's easy to find and convenient. As a business traveller I had a couple of issues. One, the office chair in the room wouldn't height adjust and the work surface is quite high so it was awkward to work on my laptop. Second, the bath tub tap drips for hours after the water is shut off. Fortunately I usually where earbuds at night so only a minor annoyance while watching the Blue Jays win their game. Thirdly, The shower only gave luke-warm water even when turned to hot. Again not the end of the world but I know some people prefer a hot shower in the morning. Also, the bathroom was tiny. So tiny that it was difficult to stand in it and close the door. I must say this room was inexpensive so for the price and with their decent breakfast it's a reasonable value.

The exterior and lobby look dated, but the rooms have been re-done. Newer beds and pillows provided the best sleep I've had in months. Dreamy, especially considering the budget price of this property. Typical complimentary breakfast, nice strong coffee. Would stay again.

This is the way a renovation should be done! The place looked fantastic! The best part for me was the wifi. It was definitely fast enough for me to do actual work from. Something like 200 mps down and up. I was very surprised!

Room is very misleading.. booked it with the intention of a jacuzzi anniversary night.. phoned the facility and I was told and guaranteed for that room. Left a message via expedia as well. We arrive after a long drive to medicine hat and we were so disappointed because our room don’t even have a bathtub. Left right away and booked a different hotel.. talk to the manager so nice at first tried to help us and told us to reach out to Expedia for a refund and before leaving told us we will be refunded because we did not stay in the room after all. Next day when they reach out to Expedia, we were told that that same person denied a refund. Let me out again and he’s nothing but rude and inconsiderate completely change of to from yesterday. It was so disappointing and very bad customer service.

Rooms on the upper floor need to be updated similar to those on the lower floor. Breakfast is dreadful, same cold overcooked eggs and sausages floating in broth each day. There is never anyone at the front desk, you call the number on the sign and it rings forever, no answer and no one makes an appearance. If you are in a room at the far end of the hall you will be lucky to have it cleaned before 6pm, came back most days and simply asked for new towels. Additional daily charges added on, did not honor the price I booked with on Expedia - and no explanation to why.

I didn't appreciate all the texts during my stay. I was texted at 7:30 am asking me when I was planning to check out. Really? If check out is 11:00 am assume the customer may stay until that time and does not appreciate being egged on to leave earlier. If that is an issue with cleaning staff, maybe hire accordingly.

There never seemed to be anyone at the front desk. Anyone could walk in the hotel late at night as no key was required to get in the main entrance. Hotel rooms and hallway was very dated.

Hotel was very easy to find, close to the highway. Check in was easy and staff were very friendly. The walls seemed a bit thin and noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms travelled in throughout the night but that's no fault of the hotel or staff and for the price you pay it was alright. Room was clean and comfortable.

Rooms on the upper floor need to be updated similar to those on the lower floor. Breakfast is dreadful, same cold overcooked eggs and sausages floating in broth each day. There is never anyone at the front desk, you call the number on the sign and it rings forever, no answer and no one makes an appearance. If you are in a room at the far end of the hall you will be lucky to have it cleaned before 6pm, came back most days and simply asked for new towels. Additional daily charges added on, did not honor the price I booked with on Expedia - and no explanation to why.

The hotel looks nothing like the photos advertised. The food buffet was mediocre, the waffle maker didn’t work and there was no healthy food options (just toast and an apple). Also not very family oriented. My children and I had to be seperated as we ate because there was no space for us to all sit together.

Pros: clean room, super comfy bed, pretty quiet, good parking. Cons: kitchen screwed up our to go dinner order even though we had it written down for them, didn’t notice til we were back in the room. Breakfast had already run out at 7am. No one at front desk.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are in the city for 2 to 3 days. It is close to all the shopping centers. The hotel beds are comfy, the bathroom is renovated, and there is ample parking with plug-ins. The food and drink specials along with exceptional service in the Bayside Lounge are another reason that we stay here.

Room was great, staff was excellent, Mango Tree hotel restaurant was amazing. Breakfast? Terrible. Skip it, go out to eat.

Clean room. Breakfast needs improvement. The toaster didn’t work well. We had supper in the attached lounge and if you like undercooked food and loud music then it’s the place for you.

Be careful. The Baymont by Wyndham Medicine Hat overcharged me for the stay I booked through Hotels.ca. I messaged the property several times for other inquiries and received no replies. The room wasn't messy but there were spills that should have been cleaned up. After asking a member of the cleaning staff to replace the empty tissue in my room as I was leaving for the day I returned to my room that evening to find my door unlocked and open and my used towels taken but not replaced. The garbage was emptied but no new bag - they obviously started cleaning the room and then forgot to go back to finish replacing what they removed. The breakfast was ok - coffee was empty. This used to be a four-star, but several broken or unclean elements of the room make it closer to a two-three star. A girls volleyball team arrived at 11pm and proceeded to run up and down the halls screaming at each other for more that 30 minutes - no idea what the hotel would allow this so late at night. Very disappointed by my stay at Baymont by Wyndham Medicine Hat.

Entry upon arriving at the hotel one can experience a welcoming impressive experience. We were on the second floor. No elevator, steps only. The room was relatively clean. Small amount of mildew was in the shower area. Windows need cleaning. Bed was clean and comfortable for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was average. Staff were friendly and helpful.
