It is positioned in an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the edge of the Mendip Hills, renowned for SSSI Cheddar Gorge, the largest gorge in Britain, which hosts many shows throughout the year. The Cheddar Gorge cliffs are Britain's highest inland limestone craggs and create a breath-taking sight. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the surrounding area with picturesque routes cutting across the Somerset Levels.
