Fernbank House is a spacious, detached holiday home situated in the heart of Aberfeldy, Perth and Kinross. Boasting plenty of off-road parking for eight cars and welcoming two dogs, this property is perfect for families or groups of friends seeking a Scottish retreat. As you step into this delightful property, you'll be welcomed by a generously sized kitchen/diner, fully equipped to meet all your culinary needs throughout your stay. Just next door, a magnificent dining room awaits, with plenty of seating to accommodate all guests, making it ideal for hosting memorable meals. The sitting room, complete with a large TV, offers a comfortable space to relax and unwind after a day of exploration. If you're seeking some peace and quiet, you can find a separate snug at the rear of the property, with board games and a relaxed atmosphere. The property also boasts two games rooms, offering a choice of pool or table football to bring out your competitive side Step outside to the expansive enclosed rear garden, which not only features a well-maintained lawn and outdoor furniture but also a highly desirable hot tub – an absolute treat for those seeking to unwind and indulge in a relaxing evening under the stars. To the side, a gravelled area with a picnic bench provides a further space for alfresco dining or simply soaking up the fresh air in a tranquil setting. The property boasts ten beautifully appointed bedrooms spread over three floors. There are plenty of en-suite bedrooms, which add a nice touch of privacy. All rooms can be set up as king-size or twin as required, but two will work better as twin rooms – this is our standard configuration. Finally, for added convenience, there is a cloakroom located on the ground floor opposite the utility, in addition to the spacious entrance room, where you are encouraged to leave your shoes during your stay. If you can bear to leave the comfort of Fernbank House, the vibrant town of Aberfeldy and the surrounding area have plenty to offer. Embark on a thrilling wildlife adventure with Highland Safaris, where you can spot red deer and golden eagles. Explore Castle Menzies, the ancestral seat of the Clan Menzies, whose tales echo in the chamber walls. Adventurous spirits can plunge into excitement at Splash White Water Rafting, unveiling Scotland from its thrilling, tumbling rivers. For a more tranquil afternoon, wander through the vibrant beds and wide sweeping lawns of Victoria Park or immerse yourself in the woodland serenity of Cluny House Gardens, home to a unique collection of Himalayan and North American plants. Traverse The Birks Of Aberfeldy, the beautiful waterfall walk celebrated by Robert Burns. Your picturesque escape in Scotland starts at Fernbank House. Note: There is a Good Housekeeping Bond of £1000 for the property. Note: If booking over Christmas or New Year, please note that this property won't allow check-outs on the 26th Dec or 1st Jan.The market town of Aberfeldy stands on the River Tay amidst beautiful scenery in rural Perthshire. Famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy, the bridge built for General Wade in 1733 and, more recently, The Hills of Aberfeldy by Ed Sheeran, the town is just south of Glen Lyon, known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. There is much to attract the visitor in addition to the spectacular scenery. For example, a 10 mile riverside walk for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as numerous paths through forest and countryside. Furthermore, Aberfeldy is on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7. Whitewater rafting on the River Tay is an exhilarating way to enjoy the scenery and zip wiring, quad biking and bungee jumping are available in nearby Killiekrankie. Castle Menzies is a wonderful 16th century castle, now fully restored and open to visitors. Take a distillery tour at Dewar's World of Whisky on the edge of town. Sample the many bars, restaurants and cafes in the town and explore the galleries and craft shops. Visit The Highland Chocolatier in the nearby village of Grandtully to enjoy world class chocolate created by a local master. The Scottish Crannog Centre offers a glimpse into Iron Age life and Loch Tay offers a multitude of watersports, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are on your doorstep. Within an easy hours drive there are over 30 Munros, just waiting to be 'bagged'!
