Descrição do imóvel

2 Seaview Cottages is a delightful, 18th-century fisherman's cottage in the coastal hamlet of Norman's Bay, Sussex. Enjoying sea views and a close proximity to a shop and pub, this cheerful home welcomes family and friends, idyllic for a quaint coastal escape. Upon entering, you will discover a homely lounge/dining room seating four guests with a wood burning stove to provide extra heating and a toasty atmosphere on chilly winter evenings. The kitchen has an eye-level double oven with a ceramic hob, extractor, plenty of cupboards and worktops. Door to hall with shoe rack, bench seat, and coat hooks. Door to bathroom or door to utility room with washing machine, ironing board with door leading to the back garden. Open plan stairs from the kitchen lead to the two attractive bedrooms, one twin with attractive views inland. The king-size room with uninterrupted sea views. (Both with blackout curtains). Just take a little care when stepping onto the stairs from the twin bedroom. 2 Seaview Cottages is a splendid self-catering cottage that offers families and couples the perfect place to stay when looking for a coastal retreat with style and character. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1177319, together sleeping up to 8 guests. The village of Normans Bay, situated between Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea is so named as it was once believed to be the coastline where the Norman invasion took place in 1066, however this area would have been underwater at that time and only became coastal a few centuries ago! Normans Bay offers a pebble beach, which is a magnet for boat owners and fishermen, plus this part of the coastline is also great for windsurfers and kite-flying. Alternatively, sit on the sea wall and admire the views of the South Downs, a wonderful sight especially in the evening as the sun sets. The Star Inn, once a haven for smugglers, is a 10 minute walk away across the Pevensey Levels and offers excellent home cooked food, plus the village even has its own railway, linking the mainline stations along the coast, from where you can visit Eastbourne, Hastings, Brighton and even London. Also four miles west along the coast is the fishing port and yacht haven of Sovereign Harbour, where you can dine on the quayside at one of the many restaurants, cafes or the tapas bar. Inland from Sovereign Harbour is the Crumbles Retail Park with its shops, supermarket, cinema and gym. This part of Sussex is an ideal place to relax and unwind, drink in the sea air and listen to the waves roll in.
