Wonderful gite with garden & terrace | Dogs allowed

Nestled between the Valence plain, the Drôme hills, and the Isère region, 1.5 hours from Lyon and just 1 hour from Grenoble, our gîte is located in Barbières. Its location will make your stay easier, as it lies in the heart of the Monts du Matin, the westernmost peak of the Vercors massif. Beautiful roads await you: the Col de Tourniol, the Col des Limouches, the Col de Cavalli… and local Drôme specialties are waiting to be discovered. In the village: a bar/tobacconist/restaurant, a bakery/pastry shop, a market on the second Saturday of each month, the "Les Ateliers Magiques de Dany Lary" performance venue, the impressive Barberolle River gorge, the ruins of Pellafol Castle, hiking and mountain biking trails, a riverside climbing site, a flower garden (picnic tables and a themed trail), and the Col de Tourniol road (1,145m, 12.5km, 729m elevation gain). Hikers will appreciate the hiking trails (GR de Pays Tour des Monts du Matin, fun hike "in the footsteps of the Pellefols). Our air-conditioned cottage is located on the property where we live, in an adjoining section with our child and dog. Once through the gate, your entrance is completely private. We stayed there for a month, and based on our experience, we found it pleasant, functional, and comfortably suited for couples, families with children, hikers, cyclists, and motorcyclists. The first floor comprises a living room (with a quality sofa bed 140x190cm), a bedroom (160x200cm), and a shower room/WC. Outside, there is a small private west-facing terrace where you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Ardèche region, and a private garden currently being landscaped. Shared access includes the entrance via the electric gate, a secure bike shelter, and parking (the courtyard is enclosed). Pets are welcome. Out of respect for our guests, we ask that owners clean up after their pets. Respecting this rule will allow everyone to have a good holiday while respecting each other.
