Highly Recommended!!! Wife, two kids, and I travelled to Iceland to see the natural land and this home certainly met our needs. We couldn’t have been happier with the location. In addition, the place was very clean and full of all the appliances we needed to have a few family meals. We loved the Hot Tub and was lucky to see the Northern Lights.

The house is beautiful, modern, and conveniently located to most of the sights on the golden circle! We saw the aurora lights every night we stayed on the deck. Really enjoyed the warm floors and water pressure in the showers, and well-stocked kitchen. Plently of space for our family of 5 and amazing views all around. Easy 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

The property was very spacious for a family of 6. The bathrooms were large, bedrooms were very nice. The extra bed in the laundry room came in handy. The home is down a private gravel road. It had a great view. The owner always responded very timely. It was in the heart of the golden circle and 45 mins to Selfoss. Bio was about 2 hours. My family throughly enjoyed the house and hot tub and would stay here again.

This is a beautiful property. The house itself is built at the edge of a steep hill, which offers a stunning view of the surrounding Iceland mountains. We were very comfortable, with the heated floors providing us with great warmth. Again, the location of this secluded cabin cannot be understated. Our group of 7 adults and two children under 2 easily fit well in the seperate bedrooms, with the hosts being very generous and accommodating, especially with kids. The hot tub was a welcome supplement to the already generous package. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.

This property is as great as it looks on the site! Wonderful countryside location near many of the Golden Circle sites and Secret Lagoon. Well-equipped, perfectly maintained, and offers 180* views over the valley from the living room, outdoor deck, and the hot tub. The owner provided helpful, detailed information before our rental and was almost instantly responsive to queries while we were there. If you want to do more than take bus tours from Reykjavik, I can't recommend this place enough!

This house is stunning. The architecture is beautiful and very functional. What a kitchen! There is a geothermal hot tub. My family loved it. The best feature is how the house maximizes the location and view. Three sides of the house are glass and if we could have seen the northern lights(sadly overcast) it would have been a spectacular place to enjoy them. Thank you for having us we felt so blessed and wish your family all the best.

Glorious property, both spacious but also comfortable and flexible. Very family oriented and welcoming environment that we all instantly relaxed into the stay. A wonderful outlook, in lots of space, and being able to see Geysir through the telescope was a lovely surprise, and the hot tub was a great place to enjoy the surrounding nature, and even when the weather was cold, the tub was lovely and warm.

Everything about this house, its location, the views and the comfort exceeded our expectations! It provided my family with a dream vacation. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen or traveling down the road to a nice restaurant. We enjoyed relaxing and viewing the landscapes and rainbows or jumping in the car and driving a few minutes to the waterfalls and geysers and craters. We were happy to lie in the hot tub or to go to the nearby Secret Lagoon. So, do it all or do none of it, but do it from this house! PS Try not to miss the mushroom hothouse restaurant Farmers Bistro or the tomato greenhouse restaurant Fridheimar. Enjoy!

Our family of six adults very much enjoyed our stay at Solfaxi. The location was perfect for Iceland exploration and the house was very comfortable after long days out and about. The house was lacking nothing and the hot tub with amazing views made it extra special. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Solfaxi was a great way to start off our trip to Iceland. Directions were easy to follow and the property is not far off the main road. It is about 45 min from Selfoss. But everything is far apart in Iceland. The house is very close to many Golden Circle sites though and there are several smaller villages nearby as well with restaurants and such. The property itself is amazing. The house is quite large with plenty of room for your entire party. It was also well equipped with everything you would need. The views over the surrounding land are out of this world. Plus the hot tub was a great place to relax after a long day and see the Northern Lights. You can't go wrong by staying at Solfaxi when visiting the Golden Circle area!

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, war blitzsauber, sehr gemütlich und mit allem eingerichtet, was nan braucht. Besonders berindruckend fanden wir die Lge mit Blick auf den golden Circle und dem gelegentlich ausbrechendem Geysir in der Ferne. Der Gastgeber war sehr gut erreichbar und hat uns bei allen Fragen geholfen. Absolut empfehlenswert! .

Stayed with my family…my wife and I, along with our 3 children and my mother. Hot tub was a huge bonus. The house was very well stocked, clean, and incredibly well designed. Have I mentioned the Northern Lights? We got them almost every night! We lucked into clear skies in mid-March, but the unobstructed views from both outside and inside were absolutely breathtaking.

The large house situated in a prime location, offering seclusion and a fantastic view. The jacuzzi was wonderful, the rooms were very spacious, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking. However, the cleanliness was disappointing. The kitchen was quite dirty, including the oven, microwave, and fridge, and the washing machine and dryer still had private laundry in them. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Iceland is definitely worth a visit!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this home and would highly recommend it. It was spacious, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The host was responsive and helpful with questions we had prior to arrival. The highlight of our trip was being able to watch the northern lights on the deck. The home also has a spectacular panoramic view during the day. The location was great for day trips to spots along the southern coast and around the Golden Circle.

I came here with a group of 9 family members for my sisters birthday. The hosts were great with communication prior to the stay, allowing us to have a smooth check-in process. When we arrived, we were overwhelmed by the amazing view and the overall size of the property. However, the host informed us that there is a possibility of mice entering the property AFTER the cancellation period had passed which we thought was a little unfair. Furthermore during the stay, there were multiple power cuts which had caused the TV or the WI-Fi to stop working (which was needed as the signal for mobile data wasn’t great). In addition to this, we initially thought it was great that we didn’t need to do too much grocery shopping as there was a lot of food and drinks left at the property (perhaps from previous guests) however a lot of the items are expired. It’s incredibly important that this is checked as I ended up having the hot chocolate and felt really sick after. Finally I’d like to raise, the property description initially said 5 bedrooms and didn’t specify that one was in the laundry room (I can see the host has changed this now). This took us by surprise and led one of our family members to have a really uncomfortable stay is an untidy room. We raised this with the host and expected an understanding response however to our surprise, the response was quite patronising and rude. First off, the communication with the property managers was PHENOMENAL!!! Most questions were answered within minutes - amazing job! Our trip to Iceland was due to a friend getting married in this wonderful country. This home was HUGE and very easy to get to with a rental car. The views were awesome and we had 3 nights of northern lights viewable from the deck of the house!! It is within 1-2 hours of Reykjavik and Vik, so most of the southern waterfalls, craters, glaciers, and cities were vwry accessible!! The house was comfortable, clean, and the kitchen well stocked with equipment, utensils, and spices! 1000% recommend this amazing country and this stay!!!

We stayed in the villa for seven days with our entire family, and it was one of the most comfortable homes we've ever booked. The view was breathtaking. This property is as great as it looks on the site! Wonderful countryside location near many of the Golden Circle sites and Secret Lagoon. Well-equipped, perfectly maintained, and offers 180* views over the valley from the living room, outdoor deck, and the hot tub. The owner provided helpful, detailed information before our rental and was almost instantly responsive to queries while we were there. If you want to do more than take bus tours from Reykjavik, I can't recommend this place enough!

This is one of the most beautiful and well appointed homes I have ever stayed in! The views were stunning and the architecture of the home beautiful. Kitchen was very well appointed. Owners answered all our questions quickly.

I came here with a group of 9 family members for my sisters birthday. The hosts were great with communication prior to the stay, allowing us to have a smooth check-in process. When we arrived, we were overwhelmed by the amazing view and the overall size of the property. However, the host informed us that there is a possibility of mice entering the property AFTER the cancellation period had passed which we thought was a little unfair. Furthermore during the stay, there were multiple power cuts which had caused the TV or the WI-Fi to stop working (which was needed as the signal for mobile data wasn’t great). In addition to this, we initially thought it was great that we didn’t need to do too much grocery shopping as there was a lot of food and drinks left at the property (perhaps from previous guests) however a lot of the items are expired. It’s incredibly important that this is checked as I ended up having the hot chocolate and felt really sick after. Finally I’d like to raise, the property description initially said 5 bedrooms and didn’t specify that one was in the laundry room (I can see the host has changed this now). This took us by surprise and led one of our family members to have a really uncomfortable stay is an untidy room. We raised this with the host and expected an understanding response however to our surprise, the response was quite patronising and rude. The host was quite defensive and didn’t take in any of my points. Just some things to consider.

I traveled with my wife, 3 daughters (14, 10 and 10), my mother in law, and her sister. This house was so incredible. The views, comfort and proximity to so many great sites. I highly recommend it. The host was so quick to respond on any questions. Thanks for such a lovely few days.

Great property! We relied heavily on the positive reviews from others and add ours here. Highly recommend this property and it was beautiful inside and out. Great communication with owners who helped us navigate crazy weather. Hope someday to return in the summer.

The house is beautifully secluded but still very central for visiting the sights. The Faxifoss is on the doorstep. We, 2 families of 8 people, spent 6 nights in this villa. the view is breathtaking. there was plenty of space for everyone. A big plus are 2 bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower. Agni is a great host who responds to my messages quickly and goes to great lengths to make you feel completely comfortable. If we are in this area again, we would rent the house again. thank you Agni for this unforgettable stay.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this home and would highly recommend it. It was spacious, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The host was responsive and helpful with questions we had prior to arrival. The highlight of our trip was being able to watch the northern lights on the deck. The home also has a spectacular panoramic view during the day. The location was great for day trips to spots along the southern coast and around the Golden Circle.

This modern home along the Golden Circle was perfect for our family. The views were incredible and it was conveniently located to excursions, waterfall, and restaurants. Had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend!

The property was very spacious for a family of 6. The bathrooms were large, bedrooms were very nice. The extra bed in the laundry room came in handy. The home is down a private gravel road. It had a great view. The owner always responded very timely. It was in the heart of the golden circle and 45 mins to Selfoss. Bio was about 2 hours. My family throughly enjoyed the house and hot tub and would stay here again.

Started our trip here. The house is a destination in itself. The views from the property are amazing. The fact that it puts you in the middle of several must sees is just a bonus. The communication from the owners was great. Would definitely rent this one again.

Fantastic location. Less than two hours drive from the airport and you walk through the front door to a real 'wow' moment. The views are incredible. We visited in April and couldn't be happier with the property. One night we were watching a family movie but the northern lights stole the show. If you are looking for a great house in a fantastic location for a family holiday, look no further, this is it.

Our stay at Solfaxi was a great way to start off our trip to Iceland. Directions were easy to follow and the property is not far off the main road. It is about 45 min from Selfoss. But everything is far apart in Iceland. The house is very close to many Golden Circle sites though and there are several smaller villages nearby as well with restaurants and such. The property itself is amazing. The house is quite large with plenty of room for your entire party. It was also well equipped with everything you would need. The views over the surrounding land are out of this world. Plus the hot tub was a great place to relax after a long day and see the Northern Lights. You can't go wrong by staying at Solfaxi when visiting the Golden Circle area!

Thankyou so much for sharing your amazing property with our family. We had 5 adults and 2 teenagers on our trip from Florida. The kitchen was very equipped to save us some money by cooking some meals at home. The hot tub was simply glorious. I cannot speak enough about the views from every single window. Definitely hit bonus and Costco for food before heading to the home. We highly recommend the into the glacier experience. Overall, we cannot wait to return. Don't forget to bring actual water proof jackets pants and boots! Layering and waterproof will be your best friend. Until next time iceland! IriniTampa Florida
