Laundry infected with roaches it wasn't playing North sanitary I should do she switch I couldn't get

you get what you pay for. well lit parking area. good places to walk dog. bathroom floor grout probably never scrubbed. neighbors cooked out w smoke flooding several units (not very neighborly).

Parking seemed safe but dimly lit. Bathroom needs upgrading, floors need replacing

This is an average motel...renovated, but rough around the edges. Seemed clean enough. The A/C wasn't plugged in & we couldn't even find the outlet. Had to call the front desk and he had to lie on the ground to get to it. It was ok for 1 night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer. One plus was it had a couch and a small table with two chairs. On a main road, so close to dining, etc.

Clean safe convenient

The towels were filthy, the tub was filthy. Had to clean the tub myself and use my own towels. The remote control was coming apart and barely held together with tape. Couldn't even get CBS on the TV during the Final Four NCAA tournament. Awful experience. Never again.

I couldn’t take a shower because the tub was disgusting. There weren’t any towels in the bathroom. And as a courtesy I usually strip the linens, and the mattress pad an ugly green stain on it. Overall, horrible stay.

Please don't go there, the room is dirty, the bathroom is gross and it smells bad!

Cockroaches, short hairs everywhere, paper thin sheets, and stains on everything. Asked for a refund and got one. Brought up the cockroaches and dirty towels and bedding to the management and they didn’t even act surprised. They know. Dirtiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Do not stay here.

Room not clean

Our room was pretty disgusting — stains everywhere. On the bedspread, on the walls, on the countertops, etc. No bedbugs, though, and the price was cheap.

Let me start by saying this: checking in wasn’t the problem — the ROOM was. My husband and I travel for work, and after coming all the way from Georgia, we were exhausted. The last thing we expected was to walk into a room like this. First off, we were given a smoking room, which is fine — we’ve stayed in plenty of smoking rooms before — but none of them have ever smelled like straight-up piss. The smell was overwhelming. Second, the bathroom was a complete nightmare. In front of the sink AND the shower, water was literally coming up from the floorboards. Every time you stepped in there, the floor made a nasty “squish” sound and your feet got soaked. We even tried to take a shower, but honestly, it was one of those situations where you get out feeling just as gross because the whole environment felt dirty — especially with mystery water seeping up beneath your feet. Third, there was a fly problem in the room too. We were grateful it wasn’t termites. Fourth, after a long day of traveling, of course we were hungry. But when we opened the microwave, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. There was dried-on food stuck to the plate and even half of a Styrofoam cup filled with old beans and carrots still sitting in there. Absolutely disgusting. We had to scrub the plate ourselves and let it soak because that’s how old and crusted the mess was. And let’s not forget: the AC filters were filthy. Covered in dust and grime. This room should have never been given to anyone

This was the dirtiest hotel room that I ever seen!!! There were holes in the walls, black mold on the sealing in the bathroom, the towels had stains on them, the doors had cracks in them wear you could look out side or in the bathroom and see through it. The floor and walls were wealthy!!!! The key did not work and the hotel employee has to let me it. It was like sleeping in a crack house! I considered sleeping in my car but I slept in the room because the bed looked clean and I got in town at 12:30 am and I was excused. I woke up and left after brushing by teeth and washing my face. I refused to take a shower because it was dirty. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE ON DRUGS AND YOU ARE LOOKING TO GET HIGH! The people next store were definitely drug addicts because they were make loud noises in the middle of the night and had very aradic behavior!!! The place should be comdemed by the health department. I will never stay in a Motel 6 for the rest of my life!!! I'm completely traumatized. By the way I took pictures and if they allow me to post them I will share them on this email.

No issues besides the road noise is much. Great value everything works and is clean.

The hotel is located next to construction and very close to a busy road. The sheets may have been clean but the room is dated. Sheetrock walls are peeling, floors are pieced with different areas of linoleum. Room smelled damp, musty. Spent a sleepless night and speed out at 4AM!

The area is very safe and cute neighborhoods around. The Spanish restaurant next door was very good. A Food Lion grocery store is right across the street. The staff was friendly enough. However, the room itself was very poor. There was a big hole in the wall where the door opens. The room was old, smelled of mold, and needed a lot of work. I would stay in any other hotel in this area and avoid this one.

Room had some obvious damage and didn't feel completely clean, but otherwise was fine for our purposes since it was cheap and had easy access to the highway.

For the price it was adequate. The good things were in room microwave and fridge. But no in room coffee maker or any coffee in the so-called lobby which was just a very small room with a check-in desk. In room TV was nice with free HBO and other channels. The beds were uncomfortable. Sheets were iffy. Not sure if they had been laundered since there were stains and wrinkles. The pillows were thin and hard. Bathroom had broken toilet seat, 2 very thin, small towels and no complimentary shampoos. There was hot water, but a shower head with the diameter of a garden hose.

Bed & pillows weren't all that comfortable. Mini fridge was frozen, and bathroom light was flickering.

Unbelievably uncomfortable bed. The toilet wasn't connected to the floor. Seriously. Moved all over the place. Just old and in poor condition.

This place may not be the Ritz, but the staff make up for it. I have never been treated so kindly at any other motel 6 I have frequented- and that's been plenty. Good job keep it up motel 6 of Salem!

Room door didn’t close properly, 3 different rooms the sheets were dirty, rude desk staff. Didn’t stay!

Told us we didn’t pay. Then showed proof from Expedia receipt. Still made us pay. Then later refunded the 2nd charge. Room has stains literally everywhere. Bedding, towels, bath mat, countertops..

The manager was delightful! He was super friendly and efficient and pleasant. But the property is a dive and my door wouldn't lock properly so my dog was trying to get out. There was trash outside on the grounds. The furniture was rickety. But for a cheap place at least the staff was great.

The staff was attentive, they came to me and changed my room as soon as they discovered water issues. I hadn't had the time to even check! I will definitely stay here again when in the Roanoke area. The restaurant next door was a big plus.

They don't keep their word. Saying you can check in early and saying something else when you arrive

They didn't understand the English language. The room was a shambles.. tub and shower we're run down as was most of the room. Will not stay at another motel 6 ever again.

The woman who works the desk and the store was more than kind of me and has a glowing or about herself and a sunny disposition

Location was good, the room wasn't very clean at all. The TV didn't work right, moved me to a different room, it wasn't very clean either. Won't stay there again.

It would be better if they’d provide some breakfast items instead of coffee only. Not enough towels were provided, no shampoos, and there were three of us. It’s not a big deal since we’re only staying for the night, but it would be great if those items were provided without the need of asking for them. Overall, the place isn’t bad.

Walked in to my room and air conditioner wasn’t on, felt like it was 80 degrees in there. Huge stain on the couch. 3 flat pillows on a king size bed. Urine on the inner rim of the toilet bowl. Black cracked tub. Smell was very musty and was very dark in the room. Asked about breakfast, no breakfast even though it said breakfast on the site I ordered

The room was very clean. The staff, very friendly. Would def recommend and or stay at this location again. It’s very convenient to shopping, grocery, and food locations.

The location is great. The floors were FILTHY! The tub was stained and the hot water was literally a trickle. The water fixtures were separated away from the wall. We had to ask for more towels and wash cloths each night. There is a decent amount of shopping and restaurants within a 2 mile distance. It is very close to the road. Old hotel, but ok for the price.
