Parking is in a safe area and plenty of it. Restaurant next door, Liquor store across street, everything is minutes away. Peaceful relaxing and friendly area.

was hesitant to book, but the pool was excellent… the guy running the desk was very nice. our room is extremely clean.. everything has been great. there is no smells… nothing broken… and again the pool is amazing for being a cheaper hotel!

The balcony overlooking the garden and river was very nice, it only had one chair unfortunately so my wife and I couldn't sit out there to enjoy breakfast. It was west-facing so it made me wish I could have gotten there for sunset. :) The room had both a sunblocking and sheer curtains. The pool was pleasant enough but maxed out at 4ft. The garden area had a couple lounge chairs on a mini raised deck for enjoying the sun, a playset with swings for the litte ones, a couple Horseshoe pits, and a half basketball court. Also there was a lovely gazebo and a good expanse of grass. The room we had was a king bed which was reasonably comfortable. The worst was that there were not usb ports on lamps or something and I had forgotten my charger block (I did discover a couple usb ports on the back of the TV that I could use, but of course I had to turn in the TV to charge my phone ) the room had lots of outlets which was a refreshing change. The refrigerator worked well as did the microwave. Part of the trim was falling of the wall and there was a spot on the screen door where fingers had gone through but aside from that it appears in good repair. We didn't hear the neighbors, if there were any, so I can't say about the soundproofing. I do wish that balconies with lights also had switches so that we could sit out there in the evening without feeling like we are onstage, but that seems to be an overlooked pleasantry at many hotels we've been to. :( Overall it was a pleasant overnight.

If you can get your room facing on the river, you are lucky to stay quietly. I requested but the hotel gave us noisy room. Indoor pool was filled with local kids due to their birthday. They even did not stay at. Lazy Dude was drinking beers in front of the pool door.

We always enjoy staying here, Riverview is the only place we book when coming to the area. The front desk and housekeeping staff are always so polite and helpful. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms always have extras. The rooms are big and you have plenty of space to move around. We like to stay on the riverside, it provides a nice view and in the warmer weather it is nice to sit out on the balcony. This spring there was cute little wild life (bunnies, birds and ducks) around which made it fun for the kids to see. I appreciate the extras around the facility, the pool, the playground and basketball hoop. Even some grills. It really provides a nice place to stay with extras so you are not stuck in your room.

The location is great if you are interested in going to sites in both RI and Mass. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Those are all strong points. The pool looks good too. I didn't use it but one of my windows faced it. Things I didn't like included the condition of the tub. Although the top was fine, the floor looked old and dirty. I think the stains were so deep that one couldn't eliminate them through cleaning. The drain was damaged too. Also, I woke up very early one morning and took a cool shower. The problem was that I wanted a warm shower. There was no hot water. Regarding the area, it was okay. There were people awake all night outside, which seemed a bit sketchy. Plus, the entrance where I stayed stunk like pot. It was really strong.

Room had cob webs . Freezer built up ice. No regular cable. Pool was cloudy. They couldn’t find out already paid for reservation. We had to pay again. Bed is hard as rocks, No Updated charging ports. Very old school. No breakfast included.

Can personally say that the setup was odd. Room was sort of cleaned but not really. We definitely smelled cigarettes but smelled something else when we were walking to our room, every single day. There were marks on varying surfaces that did not look like dirt and we had to clean the bed sheets before we could sleep in the beds. Tiles in the bathroom area (whole area) were separating so the grout was quite literally coming out and several tiles were loose. Decent location as it’s near a pub that’s only open after a certain hour but not sure why they would put hot tub jets in that shower/tub, as I’m fairly certain it was not clean.

The carpet had a bad smell. Theres bugs in rooms. Hotel was dingy and dirty. In the daytime reeked of chlorine. At nigh time reeked of animal and alcohol. Tv doesn't work. Staff unhelpful.

We were initially happy with our room, but it wasn't as clean as it could be. The bathroom needed a good cleaning and there was a few pincher bugs on the floor. Our TV would not stay connected to the internet, so we could not watch anything. We asked for help at the front desk and they said they would come take a look but never came. Then at 5:30am a fire alarm went off. There was no fire, no update from staff and the alarm went off for over an hour. We ended up checking out early because we could no longer sleep. The best part of the hotel was the pool for the kids.

We were assigned a room when we arrived, but the room card key we were given would not let us access the room so I went back to the front desk and subsequently we were given another room. The staff were very nice and helpful. An employee from the front desk even came up to the room at night when there was an issue with the WiFi / Smart TV and it was resolved. There were multiple cobwebs in the room.

The person at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room had a musty smell from an dirty carpet. Under the bed was dirty and the side of the box spring was also not clean.

The place claims that it's rooms were newly renovated and I would love to know how. the door to the bathroom doesn't fit because the door is too big for the door frame. the iron leaks water so I couldn't use that. I did notice that L brackets which are standard for putting a shelf together, was what was holding up the sink. the room was poorly lit with only one lamp and is nothing like the pictures they show online. the place also wreaked of marijuana. I would go on and on but what really freaked us out was the fact that my husband went to get food and I was in the room waiting for him and I watched a cockroach walk across the wall .we left the next morning .I'm going to say judging on the place ,and the people in the groups of cars in the parking lots, that this is a welfare motel and they let everybody in .thank God I will never be coming back. I see other people have made similar comments and all these management people do seem to just say I'm sorry- give us money back, but I think at this point I'm going to report this place , because it was filthy and disgusting

Stayed here before and enjoyed it. This time however was completely different. I was excited to see they updated the tv but the tv couldn’t connect to server the whole time. An employee came to the room and tried also. I was told to unplug for 2 mins and if that didn’t work he would come up. Well the excuse I got was they were booked and the server is overloaded. Didn’t have a working tv the entire stay. Then the sheet wouldn’t stay on the mattress. Every move you made it popped off the corner exposing the mattress cover that was ripped or unzipped. The most uncomfortably stay I have ever experienced. The staff were absolutely amazing though and the place was clean.

The rooms were advertised as soundproof, which they definitely aren't. You can hear people opening and closing their doors inside your room as well as their TVs and conversation when you walk past in the hallways. Theres no warm breakfast, you'll have to pay extra money to go to the restaurant. Which I do have to say is convinently placed in the same parking lot and will deliver to your room but i wasn't willing to pay extra money to get food that we were supposed to be getting for free The rooms also have peeling wallpaper and the tiles in the bathroom were loose and creaky along the bathtub, which also didnt properly work. If you don't pay too much attention it is a beautiful room and I loved it at first but slowly one thing after the other started to go wrong I paid extra to get the executive suite and I'm just disappointed, I should have read more reviews. I understand things are pretty tough right now but please don't try and take advantage of your customers If you're just looking for a quick place to stay without too much fuss and if you have kids who would like the playground id recommend this place lightly but otherwise try to look around a bit more

Which I do have to say is convinently placed in the same parking lot and will deliver to your room but i wasn't willing to pay extra money to get food that we were supposed to be getting for free The rooms also have peeling wallpaper and the tiles in the bathroom were loose and creaky along the bathtub, which also didnt properly work. If you don't pay too much attention it is a beautiful room and I loved it at first but slowly one thing after the other started to go wrong I paid extra to get the executive suite and I'm just disappointed, I should have read more reviews. I understand things are pretty tough right now but please don't try and take advantage of your customers If you're just looking for a quick place to stay without too much fuss and if you have kids who would like the playground id recommend this place lightly but otherwise try to look around a bit more

The balcony overlooking the garden and river was very nice, it only had one chair unfortunately so my wife and I couldn't sit out there to enjoy breakfast. It was west-facing so it made me wish I could have gotten there for sunset. :) The room had both a sunblocking and sheer curtains. The pool was pleasant enough but maxed out at 4ft. The garden area had a couple lounge chairs on a mini raised deck for enjoying the sun, a playset with swings for the litte ones, a couple Horseshoe pits, and a half basketball court. Also there was a lovely gazebo and a good expanse of grass. The room we had was a king bed which was reasonably comfortable. The worst was that there were not usb ports on lamps or something and I had forgotten my charger block (I did discover a couple usb ports on the back of the TV that I could use, but of course I had to turn in the TV to charge my phone ) the room had lots of outlets which was a refreshing change. The refrigerator worked well as did the microwave. Part of the trim was falling of the wall and there was a spot on the screen door where fingers had gone through but aside from that it appears in good repair. We didn't hear the neighbors, if there were any, so I can't say about the soundproofing. I do wish that balconies with lights also had switches so that we could sit out there in the evening without feeling like we are onstage, but that seems to be an overlooked pleasantry at many hotels we've been to. :( Overall it was a pleasant overnight.

Room had cob webs . Freezer built up ice. No regular cable. Pool was cloudy. They couldn’t find out already paid for reservation. We had to pay again. Bed is hard as rocks, No Updated charging ports. Very old school. No breakfast included.

Upon registration was in formed of extra $100 fee for hold. However the room was already paid for. I paid the 100 they promised my 100 back next day at check out. I was just now told it would take until sat. Keep in mind we checked in on Tuesday. I do NOT recommend this hotel at ALLLLLLL. I hope to save someone else this crap.

I always enjoy my time at the Riverview Inn and Suites because the staff treats me with such respect and kindness. Neil, Anna Paula, Melissa, Hailee, Lina and many others are always so quick to respond to any needs I have and I love the peaceful view of the River view from my balcony and the closeness to many shops and restaurants.

We were assigned a room when we arrived, but the room card key we were given would not let us access the room so I went back to the front desk and subsequently we were given another room. The staff were very nice and helpful. An employee from the front desk even came up to the room at night when there was an issue with the WiFi / Smart TV and it was resolved. There were multiple cobwebs in the room.

The room itself was fine and I had no issues with the overnight stay. The check in and checkout process was awful. The clerk allowed a different guest to check in under my name and wanted to charge me more to stay in a room I'd already reserved. They also weren't at the desk to check me out at 8ish in the morning.

There was only 1 person working the desk, long line checking in, computer was slow and room key coding was not working properly-we had to make 5 trips back down to get key recoded just to get in the room after checking in-she finally had help come to cover desk and she came to let us in with master key. Bed was clean, stay cost reasonable for the area.

I stay at Riverview when I need a local vacation from the world because they’ve seen me at my highest highs and lowest of lows, yet they still embrace me and treat me like someone who matters to them. The location is great if you are interested in going to sites in both RI and Mass. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Those are all strong points. The pool looks good too. I didn't use it but one of my windows faced it. Things I didn't like included the condition of the tub. Although the top was fine, the floor looked old and dirty. I think the stains were so deep that one couldn't eliminate them through cleaning. The drain was damaged too. Also, I woke up very early one morning and took a cool shower. The problem was that I wanted a warm shower. There was no hot water. Regarding the area, it was okay. There were people awake all night outside, which seemed a bit sketchy. Plus, the entrance where I stayed stunk like pot. It was really strong.

We stayed here so we could visit the Lizzie Borden House in MA., which is a very short drive. The place needs to be updated a bit more, and the TV service wasn't good, but the location is convenient and it is waterside. The people running it are very friendly.

Was very disappointed when I return to the hotel at about 8:30 to find a very unkempt man sleeping on a bench at the front door, two men loitering in the parking lot and 2 young children half asleep in the lobby. I asked the attendant if they were guests at the hotel and she seemed totally unaware of them. I expressed my concern about safety to no response.

The room has a weird smell and does not feel clean. There is visible stain on the hallway carpet throughout. The breakfast is pathetic - mediocre fruit and burnt flavor coffee & no choices for creamer other than just a powdered creamer. I only booked because a friend of mine booked there already and it’s just convenient to meet up with them at the same hotel. Big mistake!! I will not come back again.

Filled with people you don’t want to share the pool with. Rooms were severely outdated, balcony doors squealed when you opened them and the bathroom was cleaned well but why there was an empty shelf just outside the bathroom door with a light but no mirror? No clue. Couldn’t use the safe because they didn’t know how to unlock it. 3 bath towels for a room booked for 4 people, only 1 washcloth too. $200 for a small outdated room, $100 incidental charge and nowhere near worth that. No breakfast offered either! Oh and we couldn’t have the mini fridge plugged in at the same time as the tv(which lost service as soon as we got there) and the microwave. Not enough plugs and no multi plug available?!? Smells like marijuana in the whole building and a very small and beat up parking lot.

The toilette paper dispenser in our room was completely not functional, it was so bad that I had to pry it open to get any paper out of it. Once it was open I saw that both rolls of paper had been picked at with small chunks torn away in a desperate attempt to get any paper from it. This pretty much sums up how much this hotel cares about it's customers. The potential to have an amazing pool is completely squandered. The pool area is filthy with moldy windows and NO TOWELS. You have to go to the front desk on the other end of the building just to get a pool towel. There is no breakfast. They had coffee with powdered creamer.
