Pretty clean inexpensive hotel with recent renovation. Not the softest sheets and no fluffy duvet but a good medium mattress and very clean sheets. Large tv with local and network chamnels like history channel. Would have loved netflix. I ooened the window and got fresh air. That was great. Bathroom shiwer was brand new and hot water and pressure was amazing. Very quiet in the hotel despite at least 30 cars there. Good mix of workers and travellers. Vendoland downstairs and large grocery store nearby

I have stayed at my fair share of bad hotels. But this one was really bad. One corner of the outside of the hotel but have been hit at some point and was being held together by plastic wrap and tape. The entire parking lot was littered with trash. Walking in for check in was the best part, the employee was nice and quick. The lobby was very dated and dingy, but oh well. We got to the room and the bathroom ceiling was coming down, the bed comforter was stained. The bed skirt had some very weird stains as well. The tub was stained a weird brownish grey, and was super crusty due to hard water. We stayed because we didn't want to deal with canceling and trying to get a refund. The TV had all of 5 channels. The water pressure was super low, I couldn't imagine taking a shower there. The walls were very thin and we were right by the elevator so we heard every clank of someone using it. We would not stay again.

Reasonably priced, a bit dirty in the room. You need to make a u-turn at the light to get into the driveway if not going in the correct direction. They should light the entrance to the driveway.

The hotel staff person was nice, but the place is not very clean. My room smelled of a smoker room even though it was advertised as non smoker. Mold in the bathroom. Floor was filthy. My wife did not sleep. Place is pretty gross.

The room smelled like cat urine, and the front desk would not move us, but they offered a can of air freshener 🙄. We requested extra towels when we reserved the room, but had to play hardball with the desk to get them. The bathroom was NASTY, including dried urine on the toilet seat and rim. There was running and screaming in the halls all night. Don’t waste your time booking this hole.

The room wasn’t clean! It was trash in the garbage can when when checked in our room. It was stains on the covers and the pillowcases. The towels was dirty as well. The room smelled like smoke. Re requested for housekeeping and no one came. My stay was for two nights, I only stayed one night.

We stayed at the Super 8, Wyndham in Springfield, IL through Hot Wire. This facility was dirty. Carpets especially. Haven't been cleaned/shampooed for a long time. No one vacuumed anywhere at the facility. Not that it mattered much but no one made our beds while we were there. Do they still do that?! They did replace our towels & shampoo, soap. That's it! We have a poodle & she is hypo-allergenic. Not sure if the room we were given was reserved for dogs or not. We had to have the window open the whole time we were there & sprayed Febreze & Lysol the whole time in order to get the smell out of the room. I have lung issues & this atmosphere was essentially bad for me. The air quality was very poor. The bathroom had mold & had not been cleaned for a long time. This hotel needs major updates!!! Due to a blackout from bad weather the week before, the hotel was booked solid with line workers. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Continental is fine but not enough stocked food provided as the workers took most of it & we were down early, 6:30am. I'm assuming this hotel is short staffed. I would not recommend this facility but I would like to say the staff was friendly.

Okay for the price. Room cleanliness was on surface. Some areas, refrigerator door handle, tv remote, and office chair, felt sticky. Was unable to get captions on tv and am hearing impaired. Overall this was adequate for a place to sleep.

The area wasn’t really great. The room itself was comfortable, bathroom is small. Breakfast they claimed to have ran out an hour before it’s said to have been available so they were very underprepared. Waited for perso. Behind decent finish a phone call for a long time before checking in. It’s overall not a terrible stay but you do get what you pay for at this location.

The room was basic & got the job done. Not many frills -- the TV worked well, the curtains did a great job blacking-out the morning sun. I wish the room didn't smell like cigarettes, but oh well.

The place was easy to get too, check in was easy. Room was clean but tub was cracked and water wouldnt shut off. Then from about 10 pm till about 1 am adults were screaming at each other in the hallways and management did nothing about it. Then about 3 am the pot smoke smell started drifting heavily thru the heat system.

Could’ve have hot breakfast gotta remember the pandemic took away a lot of things. No rudeness at the front desk hates you gotta pay $250.00 just to smoke which can affect from non smokers and to get in/out of the hotel is one way even by a stoplight intersection and the bed can be a little comfy but the room was very clean. If give it a 4.25/5

The bathroom was clean, the fridge too. The bed was comfortable enough. It was a smoke free environment, but it had the heavy indication that this probably was a smoking room, or a room that had allowed pets. I unfortunately was not able to get the TV to work, but at 11pm I did not want to have the front desk have someone try to figure out what was wrong..so no TV. I did notify the desk upon checkout. I may have also seen a mouse run across the floor during my stay.

The bathroom was clean, the fridge too. The bed was comfortable enough. 1)We arrived late from concert. Seemed ok to start, then checkin & found door cards wouldn't open the door. Attentant said door lock needed new batteries but never changed them. So always had to have someone in room at all times. With mixup in getting in the room, I left my wallet in the room. Contacted management to retrieve wallet. They said housekeeping already cleaned the room. The management (Lady) said would run down the wallet & call back. She never called back! I called her .& she said nothing she could do to get my wallet back. VERY VERY PISSED OFF with service!

the night clerk was very disrespectful and unprofessional. i would never return only stayed for a couple hours and found a better hotel with better customer service. nothing was clean.

Keep looking. For just a tiny bit more $, could have had a much nicer room. Stayed just one night (State Fair and exploring downtown Springfield) and am happy for that. Cleaning was a swipe here and there, back of bathroom door was very dusty, remodel was laughable like a 2 year old did the painting. Sketchy area but close to highway. Had to ring 2x to check out - no one around. You can do better! Embarrassed for Wyndham.

Could’ve have hot breakfast gotta remember the pandemic took away a lot of things. No rudeness at the front desk hates you gotta pay $250.00 just to smoke which can affect from non smokers and to get in/out of the hotel is one way even by a stoplight intersection and the bed can be a little comfy but the room was very clean. If give it a 4.25/5

The clientele that was hanging around this property were creepy, and made me feel uncomfortable. My male companion kept a very close eye to ensure my personal safety. He should not have had to do that - it made him nervous to have me in an unsafe place.

Keep looking. For just a tiny bit more $, could have had a much nicer room. Stayed just one night (State Fair and exploring downtown Springfield) and am happy for that. Cleaning was a swipe here and there, back of bathroom door was very dusty, remodel was laughable like a 2 year old did the painting. Sketchy area but close to highway. Had to ring 2x to check out - no one around. You can do better! Embarrassed for Wyndham.

Reasonably priced, a bit dirty in the room. You need to make a u-turn at the light to get into the driveway if not going in the correct direction. They should light the entrance to the driveway.

Hotel gave what I needed, a place to sleep one night. It was convenient to expressway, restaurants, and Abraham Lincoln's Tomb. Young lady at check-in didn't know where the Tomb is, a major tourist attraction, about 4.5 miles from the hotel. People were friendly.

The hotel itself smelled bad and the mattresses are extremely hard and very uncomfortable. I did not get good sleep. The breakfast was crappy.. cereal, toast and oatmeal creme pies.

The area wasn’t really great. The room itself was comfortable, bathroom is small. Breakfast they claimed to have ran out an hour before it’s said to have been available so they were very underprepared. Waited for perso. Behind decent finish a phone call for a long time before checking in. It’s overall not a terrible stay but you do get what you pay for at this location.

Felt like always being watched turned off lights to sleep red lites on in vents like video cameros. Horrible smells, ice machines broken, dairy products spoiled at breakfasts. PREPaid for ADA room w/2 double bed upon arrival no ADA ROOM AVAILABLE . After much complaining and $200 more ADA ROOM 1BED KING additional room offered. Bringing 2 room service dog( which ordered to stay in first room) to $500 for 3 nights!

Parking lot always has trash around. Bagel toaster for bread doesn’t really toast bread. saw them handling bread with hands instead of tongs. Very poor continental breakfast. Room had musty smell. AC needs Lysol spray disinfectant. Customer Service is sufficient.

The staff people were pleasant and couteous. Breakfast was ok if you like cereal, toast, etc. but no eggs, etc. The parking was fine. The room was not very clean (needed to be vacuumed). The microwave did not work.

The room did not feel secure as the door had a large crack on the inside near the handle/lock and then the deadbolt was completely ripped off (as if someone had tried to bust the door down previously). The staff could not fix it and they could not switch rooms as hotel was full. The carpet of the room was sticky and our socks were black from walking on it. The shower did not work (was either scalding hot or cold, no appropriate in-between). The TV did not work and the remote was sticky/dirty. The breakfast was lackluster and minimal.

The best thing that happened out of this experience is that the guy working the front desk gave us a full refund after being on the property for less wth an 30 minutes. The room instantly smelled of ammonia in the first room, could barely stand in there before going down stairs to get another room. The second room also smelled of urine and had garbage everywhere. The aroma was overwhelming in a terrible way itself throughout the whole hotel but the rooms smelled of urine so, so bad.
