This property has pros and cons. The good - amazing location (couldn’t be better), decent bathroom albeit downstairs, excellent shower, reasonably equipped kitchen, very comfortable double bed, bottle wine/crisps on arrival, some outside space, helpful parking pass. For improvement - really poor decor (photos do not show whole property needs redecoration …not just a few scratches) … from the frontdoor (and the meter cupboard with the door hanging off) …. it’s poor. There’s no point curating nice little bits and pieces if the basics aren’t right. No wardrobe in main room … just hangers over a chest of drawers (so you can’t hang anything??). Wardrobe in other room you can’t open and close (no key/handle). Taps poorly fitted. Soft furnishings have stains/rips and sofa in kitchen is not great. Stairs are really steep … can’t be helped in an old cottage … but this needs to be clear as those with mobility will struggle (particularly with a downstairs bathroom). This is an inherited family property…. clearly loved and full of nostalgia for the family …. which this why this is hard to write ….. but as a quality rental in this fabulous location … it needs to be better …. it could be magnificent.
