It's nicer and more updated inside than it looks from the outside like it'll be. One drawback that the hotel staff doesn't have any control over: their location is at the corner of a wide, slightly weird intersection that I didn't enjoy navigating. We also didn't think the free breakfast was that good (though if you like making your own waffles, that part was nice). Overall, though, a pretty good deal for the price.

We chose this hotel because it had decent reviews, so we weren’t expecting anything fancy. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The room was technically “clean” in the sense that we didn’t encounter bed bugs or anything like that, but the entire property felt dingy, damp, grimy, and poorly maintained. It honestly felt like it used to be a nice hotel, but it has been allowed to deteriorate. There was also visible mold/mildew in the room. Our bathroom had multiple basic maintenance issues: the shower curtain was stained, the shower curtain rod was broken, the sink caulking was cracked and peeling away, and the tub had chipped paint. The sink stopper didn’t work, so we had to pull it up with our fingers — absolutely disgusting. There were issues throughout the property as well. The wallpaper in the main hallway was torn up, the gardens were overgrown and full of dead plants, the parking lot was in poor condition, and the plants in the dining area were dead with dead bugs around them. It gave the impression that nobody was paying attention to the property. When we arrived, there was even a sticky sauce-like substance on the underside of the desk that clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The beds were awful. All of us left with sore backs, and the pillows provided were essentially four tiny, throw-pillow-sized pillows. When we asked for additional pillows, we were told they didn’t have any because apparently everyone needed extras. The television was basically

Room and bed were fine. TV control turned on TV only--then wouldn't work or turn off. I had to unplug the TV (no easy chore). Wifi did not work in my room; I had to go to lobby to get wifi. Breakfast was a new low, with only tepid water/coffee from the coffee machine and bagels without any butter or jam. They had a waffle machine.

Great value.

The wifi worked only in the lobby. No wifi in my room on the 2nd floor.
