It was clean and quiet. Pool was clean. Outside grounds beautiful!!!

I Liked the rooms, not that bad, For the pools is nice , but the jacuzzi was broken, and not one was caring about. The only staff was kind friendly it was the women on the breakfast room. But she was there to check on us.

Pool was clean and a good temp. Hot tub could have been hotter. Pool shower would have been better if it had hot water.

The pool and spa were lovely, the breakfast was nice with a very friendly owner. The room was nice and I liked the balcony.

Hot tub was warm, not hot. Everything else was fine, but broken hot tub is a big issue. I wouldn’t have paid so much if I knew the hot tub wouldn’t be working.

They are super nice family owned business , it’s a little hidden gem near beach! Nice pool and jacuzzi! Great views on a golf coarse! Love the Venice Restaurant next door! Needs the pool deck refinished! We stay here every summer!

The grounds were clean and there is a long piece of property that meanders down towards the lake area. Down that path is a set of swings, a lovely vegetable garden, then a chicken and rooster pen and house. It would be nicer if you could walk down to the lake, but there was a path with clam shells covering the path further down, which was decievingly impassible. The owners tried to pile clam shells in the area to build up the soil, but a couple people in our party sunk into swamp holes with their nice shoes, and we couldn't continue down to the lake we were told was accessible. There was a distant view of the lake from the balcony off the room, that also overlooked a golf course. The balconies were under the shade trees, which was lovely. The pool and hot tub were large. Though the pool was unheated, it was clear, with just a few leaves and debris. The hot tub was wonderful. There is a cute shuffle board court. The free breakfast was okay, and very limited, but at least they tried. The coffee was Folgers, and mediocre, but I was happy to have coffee to drink at 7:30am. The room was clean, but the coverlets weren't fresh. I left a cookie wrapper on the bedside table at night, and in the morning, a large swarm off tiny ants were everywhere. Considering we were on the second floor, I would imaging the problem was longstanding, and they don't have a professional pest control company. There was a problem with the balcony slider doorhandle, and they were prompt in fixing it.

Clean room

I had a very nice stay at the Winnapaug Inn. Staff was in the office when I arrived and greeted me with smile. The room was clean and the cleaning staff was awesome! Shower had plenty of hot water. My room overlooked the putting green of the golf course. I could go out on the balcony from my room and enjoy a nice cup of tea. The beach was only 3 minutes away. I would definitely stay again.

Family run business. Rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. Price is reasonable for the area. Pool area is nice. I wish they had coffee in the rooms, however they do have a continental breakfast with cereal, bagels, fruit, juice, coffee and tea from 7:30 to 9:30.. Hotel is original from the 1980s and is very antiquated, needs updating.

Definitely a 2 star hotel. I was reminded of my grad school days. Not a problem in and of itself. My only complaint was the smell of mildew in the room. It appeared clean and in okay shape though. I tried airing it by leaving the balcony door open, but it wasn’t effective. Since I was very busy and only staying two nights, I just put up with it. After 20 min, I didn’t notice it anymore, just whenever I walked in.

Clean facility, staff is friendly. Refrigerator and microwave are a plus. The pool area was well kept. The room was comfortable and clean not bad to stay for a short visit. Only stayed for one night.

Arranged beautifully. Soooo very clean everywhere!!! Balcony was a great. Saw sunrise and view of the beauty of the golf course. In the afternoon, the balcony was lovely and cool. Quality furniture in and out of the room. The room was spacious with a fridge, functional freezer and small sink and counter. Quality display on the TV.Remote user friendly. Felt like home!! The grounds were beautiful and comfortable. The pool area was wonderful! And there was a game on the property which looked very interesting.

Maid service was great! Desk staff and breakfast lady were rude. Rooms were very clean. Grounds were clean. Hallways smelled like gym shoes. Pool was nice.

The shower curtain had mold. This could be easily fixed if someone was paying attention.

Microwave and mini fridge. Internet worked good. Rooms are dated but clean. Fluffy towels. Bed was uncomfortable for me but the pillows were comfortable.

Convenient location near beach and Watch Hill. We appreciated the beach pass. Our room was clean with comfy beds but bare boned & musty. the slider to the balcony was off track and leaning against the wall. The cleaning person tried to fix it but it soon fell off again. A coffee maker in the rooms would be a nice addition as that is standard in all other hotels. The ladies that work here were pleasant. The hotel didn’t have some of the most basic tv channels , we weren’t able to watch our show- had to download the app and watch on our phone which was a pain. Anna was a gem and was wonderful to talk with during continental breakfast. The woman at the desk was pleasant & helpful. It was nice having the pool and hot tub, felt it was pricier than it should have been without upgrades .

The only problem was the lack of a coffe pot in our room and the air conditioning was not efficient. It kept the room cool but very damp

It looks like the rooms had a little mini makeover. Very clean, love the balcony looking over the golf course.

It was clean and would have been quiet if the people upstairs from me stopped stomping around the room until midnight. It was a spacious room and was priced well.

It's okay, expensive for what it is, but others in the area are too. At least there's free breakfast here (it's nothing great, no cooked items, but helps). There's also a seasonal pool and shuffleboard (on regular concrete, but hey!). Balcony is enjoyable. Small fridge and microwave in room, free wifi, but NO COFFEE in the room. Breakfast begins at 7:30 so I'm a zombie until then.

No water pressure, beds not comfortable

My order was deluxe room with two queen beds , when I got in the room was not any different from a standard room. The beds were not queens size. I spoke with receptionist. He rudely confirmed it was queen beds. I do not think I am mistaken they probably advised all double beds as queens. The room number is 101.

Nice clean room I wish there was a coffee maker in the room or easer to get a coffee earlier and 730am

The property and rooms are clean and attractive. However I was put off by the brusque manner of the Management - both the desk clerk and the woman taking care of breakfast. I didn't do anything that called for the clerk to be crude to me when I only asked for the WiFi password.

WE WERE THERE FOR 3 DAYS FOR A BEACH WEDDING. WE HAD A 3RD FLOOR ROOM ON THE GOLF COURSE SIDE. SHADY ALL AFTERNOON ON OUR BALCONY!!! HAD FUN WITH THE GOLFERS AS WE COULD TELL THEM EXACTLY WHERE THEIR BALL WAS IN THE ROUGH!!!! AC WASN'T GREAT AND WE CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND SOMEONE WAS THERE WITHIN 5 MINUTES TO TAKE CARE OF IT. POOL AREA HAS TABLES, UMBRELLAS AND LOUNGE CHAIRS. VENICE RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR WAS FANTASTIC. A+ ALL AROUND.

The gentlemen at check in was not customer friendly. I wasn’t aware of the free beach pass, pool hrs, hrs for breakfast. Had to go back in and ask where the vending machine is. The only thing he said to me was asking for my licence and telling me my room number. Looking at the review's , others had the same expirence.

The property provided complimentary continental breakfast. I learned of it from another guest..person who checked us in did not advise us. Furthermore, same person gave us a beach pass but did not warn us that the beach parking for this pass opens at 10AM. We had to wait over an hour for the opening as we got there earlier. Upon checkout, I advised the clerk that the above was not given to me as part of the check in process, he could not care. Never gave me a response and basically ignored me.

Phone didn’t work and hair dryer was missing! I called the office on my cell phone and he brought a hairdryer to us!!!

The private beach pass was amazing. Room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping staff were very kind and helpful. Pool was clean. No coffee in the room was disappointing though. Had to wait until 7:30am. Breakfast room had an odor. Needs updating for sure.

Location is near to everything!

Super cute place! Clean, big room, with little balcony to have our coffee. Outdoor heated pool and restaurant on site. Nice little trail to the pond. Quick drive to beach. We would definitely stay here again!

It was a great hotel. Inexpensive for the area, close to the beach, you can’t beat the value.

Continental breakfast in the morning; good coffee excellent English muffins and blue berry muffins. We've been going to Misquamicut beach for a while now. We used to stay in Connecticut, if we go back next year. We are staying at the Winnapaug Inn.

This property is on a golf course which is enjoyable to see golfers in action. Also, a beautiful pool and hot tub! Only 3-5 minutes from the beach.

Overall, it was good. However, we were disappointed with the continental breakfast. It was limited at best: Fruits were old, did not offer any eggs (boiled, scramble,etc), no regular milk for the coffee, no cream cheese for the bagels, limited cereals.

The facilities were great - pool, hot tub, hotel room; but the check in staff was not very helpful or friendly! Also, for the price of our stay, the breakfast left a lot to be desired as there were very limited choices on what to eat.

Convenient location and comfortable rooms. The staff member who checked us in was a little rude and curt with us so that was just the one negative.

We took a walk down to the pond and enjoyed sitting on the benches. The restaurant next door served great food

Nice place ,close to where we wanted to be. Very disappointed with the restaurant next door. Bad clam chowder , slow service, and I had to send back one of the oysters.

We were in RI for a URI family weekend and stayed here. It was about 25 min from URI. The hotel is older and could use some updates. But it was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly. But the woman who oversees the breakfast area was rude and not friendly at all. She spoke down to my husband and me which was annoying. But all in all, our stay was nice.

There’s a great restaurant next to the hotel which is owned by the hotel. Beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows.

Stayed 4 days & inn is very clean & quiet. The property is family owned & well taken care of. Flowers all around property are beautiful & also has a small gazebo which was nice for taking pictures. Pool was also very nice & clean. Breakfast was included in our stay which we had but a little disappointing. Had to put muffins and bagels through the toaster 3 or 4 times before they would get toasted. They might need to replace toaster or leave it on instead of turning it off all the time. Also though they could’ve had a better choice of cereals instead of cornflakes and Cheerios. They did have yogurt & fresh fruit which was nice and the coffee was good. I think if they stepped it up a bit would be much better and instead of having styrofoam coffee cups have paper coffee cups. The restaurant next-door is also family owned and was very good and convenient. Our stay there was pleasant and would definitely return.
