The location could not be beat! You are right on Main St in Chatham. We really appreciated the free parking, while tourists were fighting for spots on the street. Breakfast was VERY nice. Especially considering what you normally get for free at a hotel. My only small complaint was the bathroom. There was some peeling paint on the ceiling. The tub floor felt squishy when you stepped on it, implying either improper installation or rot underneath. Otherwise, it was clean and very functional. I would stay here again. However, it is very pricey. But if a super convenient location is important for you, it's worth it.

This is a very nice facility in a perfect location. Our Jr. suite was on the 3rd floor and near the elevator. It had everything we expected in a room that costs more than $1,000.00 per night except convenient WiFi. We got off to a bad start when I had to spend more than 2 hours connecting to the "free" WiFi. Their system requires the guest to enter lots of personal information and hit submit. It then requires the guest to make a decision if advertisements and offers can be sent and then hit submit, Then it requires the guest to accept terms and hit submit. Finally the guest has 5 minutes to check email and confirm registration. But I had already provided all my personal information at the front desk at check in. Still no WiFi. In our room each submit was followed by more than a minute waiting for the response. So about 5 minutes for 3 submits. If the email did not come in 5 minutes and they often do not, then the process had to be repeated. I did that 6 times and we went to dinner. Later in the lobby the signal was stronger and I was able to get connected after only a few tries. But each day the process needed to be repeated. I wonder what is wrong with all the information being sent in one submit? And why not just require last name and room number like every other facility around the world?

The location is excellent. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed so I cannot give proper review of that. The day we went in March the lobby stank of gas. The next morning it smelled just as bad. I reported it to the front desk twice, but they they did not seem concerned.. Check-in was problematic because I paid in advance for a mini suite and then I was emailed the chance to bid for an upgrade to a room with your own private patio. Which I did. Which I paid for as well. When I got to the hotel, they said “we don’t have any rooms with working fireplaces they should not have taken the reservation.” But they did take the reservation, so I was given a room with no fireplace, and no patio. The person who is helped me, let me change to a room with a patio, which was very nice, but of course no fireplace. It was lovely and the rooms are great, but they had a lot of work going on. evidently the boiler was down the gas leak, etc. I’m sure it’s a nice place to stay in the summer when they’re running on all four wheels.

Nice hotel, rustic and rooms are spacious. Nice outdoor pool and a decent fitness centre. Great alternative to Chatham Bars Inn and far less stuck up, which can certainly be an advantage depending on what you're looking for. It's also right on the strip. Parking is super easy and so is checking in.

Nice pool. Very nice, quiet, clean and convenient to local shops. Wish the room had a table for eating in room and some hooks in the bathroom for towels and toiletry bags. Other than that great place!!!

The Wayside Inn location is great-right in the middle of the Main Street shops. The room was updated, spacious, and clean. The attached restaurant was great for dinner and lunch. The air conditioning in the room was a bit weak, but every else was great

The rooms had the comfort of home. Felt more like visiting a family home than a hotel. Just steps from the center of town and shopping. My husband and I took advantage of the bikes to ride through neighborhoods and get a feel for Cape Cod living. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

It is a beautiful property, very clean, with access to business in the main street. Parking is very convenient. There is a nice restaurant in the lobby where you can eat good seafood. All in all, the best option in downtown Chatham.

It was a fabulous stay I wish we had had more than one night! The room was super clean and spacious and the beds very comfortable. Obviously a great location close to everything. Very friendly staff as well. Will stay at the Wayside Inn again for sure.

Bathroom cleaning want not completed: i.e. Trash not emptied. Dirty towel on sink. Margee was extra helpful and took care of everything ASAP but that was really bad to walk into your hotel room exhausted and seeing a dirty bathroom. Breakfast buffet had green bananas and pretty mediocre fruit selections overall. It's these little things that really irk me. Just a little extra effort would make such a big deal. You are paying a lot for these rooms and you do expect a certain higher level of things. Dinner at the Tavern was fine and yes, overpriced, but overall good. Service was fine, definitely not outstanding. Good thing Margee was around, so pleasant!

Great location for the property in the downtown. Also having parking a plus. Only issue is our room was in the front of the building so we heard all the traffic and noise from street but that is expected given location. Nicely appointed room and friendly staff.

My husband and I booked the mini suite and were very happy with it. It was quite spacious and had a separate desk area, separate vanity, fireplace, and even a bathtub. The inn is located in the best location, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants just outside the front door.

Everything from my check in to my check out was just exceptional. The property is pristinely clean! Staff are amazing. We got a room with a high toilet seat. I am short n with back issues I requested them to put me into another king bed room. They didnt find an exact match available that night so they were kind enough to give me an upgrade without any extra cost to me! The king suite that we shifted too was sooo beautiful n with a deck . For families with babies there is a park right next to the property! This was such a plus since i travelled with my toddler boy. The location cant get better right in the middle of chatham and close to everything! Decent breakfast spread! My trip was so amazing that I will go back in a beat to this place! Thanks for making our stay so comfortable !

The inn is a beautiful property and our room was clean and lovely. It is located right in the heart of restaurants and shops and the Wild Goose Tavern at the inn was very good itself. I cannot emphasize how lovely and helpful the staff was each and every time we came through the lobby. I heartily recommend the inn to anyone contemplating a visit to Chatham!!

The two ladies at the desk tried to give me the worst room in the place. Next to the street and the driveway. Even though I a reserved King. I can only imagine what a regular room would have been like since the one they tried to give should have been a utility closet! Way over priced and terrible guest service

Lovely Hotel. Good location. Clean. We had plumbing problem in our room which was inconvenient and time consuming but they moved us to upgraded room. Food was reasonable. Some staff great (Elise) others even at reception on checkin were mildly welcoming.

First of all, room was not ready at check-in for 4pm. Once we got to our room, the a/c wasn’t working and it took about 30-45mins for someone to come and show us another room because maintenance wasn’t available. Then upon having to move rooms, we had to go to the front desk to get new keys. Charging close to $600/night for a room, I would have expected better service. Will definitely have reservations about staying here again.

Close to everything, staff was really nice and helpful! We were traveling with a 5 month old and they helped us get hot water to the warm the bottles and even helped sanitize our bottles in the microwave.

I had a wonderful stay here - can’t beat the location - right on Main Street in the heart of downtown Chatham. Room was fresh and clean, mattress was very soft, would have preferred a firmer one but slept fine. I did bring my own pillow which I left accidentally, the staff called me maybe 20 minutes after I checked out to tell me I left it, which I really appreciate. I wish the complimentary breakfast had a couple more warm food options - there were scrambled eggs and everything else was cold (fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, granola). It would have been nice to have bacon and/or sausage. Overall a great option if you want to be close to the shops!

We had a wonderful stay at the Chatham Wayside Inn. The location could not be better—right in the heart of charming downtown Chatham, with shops, restaurants, and the beach just steps away. The inn has a warm, classic Cape Cod feel, with comfortable rooms and thoughtful touches throughout. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail of our visit was easy and enjoyable. Dining at the Wild Goose Tavern was excellent—great atmosphere and delicious food. Was a clean property and there was a lot of nice shops on the road. Staff was very nice and caring. Only gripe was the room itself. The mattress was kind of worn out,and the pillows were bad. They would flatten to pancakes once you laid on them. Also there was a lot of 1AM noise from drunk bar goers right outside the window, but i guess that is out of the Inn's control.

Great staff especially Elise at the front desk. It was nice to have the continental breakfast if we wanted to. The bar & restaurant were wonderful (including bartenders Alex and Bob)! Room was clean and nicely appointed. The location was superb, right on Main Street with shops all around. We will definitely return!!

Great hotel in perfect location. Easy parking and right in the Main Street. Lovely bar in hotel. Restaurant food good - service a little poor at restaurant. Breakfast choice not great….but overall a great stay and would recommend.

The location was very good---a nice walk to the beach to see the seals. There are many shops for shoppers. The Inn has a quaint feel to it. It's nice that they offer bicycles to ride. The staff members in cafe and inn weren't always friendly. The breakfast was late several mornings.

Expensive place and expensive feel all the way until the continental breakfast. It was very underwhelming for a $400+ per night hotel. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. I did express my disappointment about the breakfast and was only apologized to at first. I had to press more to finally have my resort fee reimbursed, but that amount didn’t even match the $40 I had to spend elsewhere in Chatham for the breakfast that we should’ve been able to enjoy. The creamer was curdled, there wasn’t one fruit, no proteins, the yogurts were room temp, the main “dishes” were low end cereal bars. Wish I could leave a better review, but that breakfast was so disappointing, and the lack of concern about it from the staff also left me wanting to try another venue before ever rushing back here to stay.

We visited the Wayside on New Year’s Eve this year! From the moment the day began the staff was incredibly helpful. We were having a hard time getting to the Inn due to the closed streets (Fireworks)! The staff guided us straight to their door! Our room was gorgeous, with a beautiful fireplace and comfy bed! We next went to the Wild Goose for apps and a beverage. The bartenders were super attentive, kind and responsive. The apps we chose: bacon wrapped scallops, duck fat fries - poutine style, and oysters were incredibly tasty. The staff was gracious, kind and welcoming throughout our whole stay. They even remembered that it was my birthday and were so lovely to say so every time I walked into the Lobby. We’re cannot wait to stay here again and would highly encourage anyone else to do so as well!
