Fantastic hotel! Wish we stayed longer. Hotel was clean, quiet, check in was simple, and the breakfast was fantastic. Free coffee and tea all day is a nice touch. Would stay here again in the future.

A lovely place with beautiful scenery. The breakfast is nice, and the breakfast staff are really friendly! Breakfast is enjoyed with alpine views. The only downside is that the sauna is heated from 16:00 to 22:00, and if you arrive in the evening, they won't turn it on in the morning for you to enjoy.

Check in process is not very clear for English speaking people and there is no reception staff. luckily for us there was a onsite employee available to assist during our check in they needed to call for help twice while checking us in which confirmed the challenge. Not sure if this was due to booking by Expedia rather than direct. Check out however is very simple just drop cards in slot. Hotel is on a road and can be noisy there is also a church right across so church bells do go off at various intervals. Buffet breakfast was adequate when compared to others on trip. For lunch and dinner you will need to find other places. Room was clean although a little on the smaller size but we had a great view over the valley. Nice small sauna in the basement and showers

Tolle Hotel für einen Zwischenstopp oder einen Kurztrip nach Liechtenstein. Auch der Self Service Check in hat gut geklappt und war vollkommen problemlos. Frühstück sehr gut mit sehr netter Bedienung. Und das die ganze Zeit kostenlose Kaffeespezialitäten zur Verfügung stehen ist sagenhaft. Jederzeit würden wir hier wieder übernachten. Ein kleiner Tip noch - nutzen sie die südlichere Zufahrt nach Triesenberg, wenn sie nicht auf teilweise einspurige Bereiche am Schloß vorbei eingestellt sind

I was initially a little skeptical of the "self-check-in, but it turned out to be a great idea. No issues whatsoever with the check in and the staff that arrived the following morning for the breakfast service were very friendly and determined to make your stay pleasant. Although there is not an onsite restaurant for dinner, there are plenty of options close by. There is also an honesty bar onsite with wine, beer and champagne that allows you to get your favorite beverage and relax and watch the sunset over the mountains. A truly delightful location and establishment. Would definitely recommend this and would stay here again.(only longer)

The view to the valley was amazing! Although there was road work in front of hotel, we found it very entertaining to have a cocktail or coffee on the balcony and observe! The sauna was a fantastic way to wrap up the days of exploring. It was an easy, invigorating walk to great food options. The only reason we gave a lower score per staff is that it’s essentially a digital check in, although initially we communicated with a remote real person and that was fine. The breakfast staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and efficient.

This is a lovely, quaint hotel with a nice balcony and beautiful views. Room and bathroom are very nice and comfortable. They include a small fridge and a fan. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic and includes made to order eggs that were the tastiest we had. We even had to ask what they put in them (butter and chives). The sauna is a nice perk but keep in mind it is only open during the evening from 5-10pm. I found out the hard way twice when trying to visit late evening and again the next morning. Bummer as the sauna area is very nice and spa like so be sure to take advantage of that during the correct hours. I would definitely stay here again.

There was no sign or notification that the hotel is self check-in / out. No one was in the building. Our first room was smelling horrible due to thr wet carpet. We had to call the staff for a new toom. The view is great but as the hotel is next to a main road and there is no aircon or ventilation it feels like the cars are comming to your room next to opened windows. Altogether it feels like a robbery for the price we paid.

Das Hotel hat insgesamt für ein 3STerne Hotel einen sehr guten Eindruck gemacht. Auch wenn der Check-in etwas ungewöhnlich war (Self Check in - KEIN Personal!), waren die Zimmer & Bad super sauber! Das Bad war für die 3 Sterne hochwertig ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war entsprechend überschaubar, aber auch ausreichend!

This was one of my top hotel finds of all time. The location was convenient and the facility was exceptionally clean and updated. Rooms overlooking the valley have fantastic views and the room was a very good value.

Everything was great! The only problem was the shower drain was clogged and water would start to fill up immediately. Other than that, me and my brother enjoyed the hotel and we felt everything from the staff to the security was perfect.

Helt automatiserad in- och utcheckning. Man behöver ett kreditkort för att alls ta sig in i huset. Utsikten är otrolig men det innebär också att man nästan måste ha bil för att ta sig dit, det är extremt långa och branta backar. Trevliga rum utan något särskilt men med det man behöver (utom AC på sommaren). Kyrkan bredvid börjar ringa väldigt högt väldigt tidigt och varje kvart.

The hotel was nice, but the room was rather small compared to others we stayed at on our trip through Germany. As there are few options within this town, this hotel was great, but we were hoping there would have been some restaurant options close by and there weren't.

Very unusual to have a totally automated check-in and check out system. It felt a bit impersonal but it worked well and was very efficient. The hotel is great. It's relatively small and a little quirky but very homely. It is positioned high up with superb valley views. The only downside was the very loud church bell just across the road that rang out regularly from 6am onwards. It wasn't a problem for us as it served as an alarm call, but would be more problematic if you are looking for a lie in.

My wife and I stayed for two nights in July 2023. We loved this Hotel! Self-check-in was a breeze, the room had everything we needed, the views were spectacular, and the breakfast was great. Best of all, the Staff (when we met them) were excellent. If you visit, check out the ski lift in Malbun. The only issue for our stay was that the room was a little small and hot in the evening, though we had a fan.

Nowhere is cheap in Lichtenstein and Hotel Oberland does offer good value compared to many others. The self service check in was easy to follow. The room was compact but had a balcony with amazing views over the valley and Swiss mountains. It was noisy though with the windows open fire to the road outside and the church. Breakfast was good and included in the price.

Family - Summer Holiday All rooms with balcony have a beautiful view, but are all located towards a busy road and a church across the street. Since there is no airco you want to open the window at night when the days are hot. But due to the noise you want to keep them closed. Breakfast was a bit basic but still very good. Except for the - very friendly- lady at breakfast, there is no staff. Be prepared for a self-service check-in experience, there is a self-service bar as well.

The hotel logo contains the words “self check in” but it’s not obvious on Hotelscom so we were rather confused when arriving and first needing to use our credit card to even open the front door, to be met by a computer with a rather lengthy process to check oneself in. There’s also no toilet avaible in the lobby before you’ve finished checking in and are able to enter he next door. The rooms are very modern and comfortable, with a completely different feel than the outside, the lobby and the breakfast room. There’s so AC so if visiting m in the summer as we did you might want to sleep with the windows open, but if you have a room facing the church you need to prepare yourself for the church bell chiming every quarter with a small dong and every full hour with as many chimes as the hour.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights and generally had a good stay. The self-service check-in was a bit fiddly but we managed to do it without too much hassle. Tip: Make sure you have your booking reference (the one assigned by the hotel, not the one given by any third-party booking agent). Our bedroom (room 12) was basic but clean. There was a bit of an odour in the room when we first arrived so we bought a diffuser from the local shop. As our room was on the ground floor, I expect there may have been a dog in there at some point, hence the smell. The bathroom was a good size but the shower leaked no matter how careful we were, which was a bit annoying. The free tea and coffee was a life-saver. We realt appreciated that. Breakfast was also decent, if not a bit repetitive. One of the main drawbacks of our stay was that despite it being July, a lot of the local businesses were closed. That and the fact we didn’t have a car made meal choices very limited as the bus from Vaduz does not run very late. We were also unlucky to have inclement weather for most of our stay and there isn’t a great deal to do at the hotel.

This is a self check-in hotel with no staff after 11 a.m. We had an emergency and we were not able to call the rental car company in Germany on our personal cell phones. The lack of staffing and there not being any phones at the hotel, made the difficult situation much worse. There was a number for a reception, but that was not helpful. The next morning, Francisca, the breakfast staff, let us use her personal phone to make the necessary calls for assistance. She was a blessing. Beware that the hotel room gets very hot in late June and there is no air conditioning There just happened to be road construction on the busy, noisey road in front of the hotel. Also, the nearby church bells start ringing at 6 a.m. and stop at 10 p.m.

I was initially a little skeptical of the "self-check-in, but it turned out to be a great idea. No issues whatsoever with the check in and the staff that arrived the following morning for the breakfast service were very friendly and determined to make your stay pleasant. Although there is not an onsite restaurant for dinner, there are plenty of options close by. There is also an honesty bar onsite with wine, beer and champagne that allows you to get your favorite beverage and relax and watch the sunset over the mountains. A truly delightful location and establishment. Would definitely recommend this and would stay here again.(only longer)

Room itself was okay (nothing special), but the self-check-in process is woefully deficient and management in the morning was quite poor. We arrived at 10pm after a long day of driving and the check in machine gave us errors on each attempt (despite charging our credit card 135CHF each time). We then had to phone an agent and it took us almost half an hour to check in, which is ridiculous. Then, the next morning, it turned out the booking had been made for one person instead of two, so the manager insisted we pay a 45 CHF surcharge (which doesn't make sense for just an extra breakfast) even though the price posted online was significantly cheaper. I didn't agree with this, but the manager then force charged my credit card and was terrible to deal with. Would avoid this hotel.

The view to the valley was amazing! Although there was road work in front of hotel, we found it very entertaining to have a cocktail or coffee on the balcony and observe! The sauna was a fantastic way to wrap up the days of exploring. It was an easy, invigorating walk to great food options. The hotel logo contains the words “self check in” but it’s not obvious on Hotelscom so we were rather confused when arriving and first needing to use our credit card to even open the front door, to be met by a computer with a rather lengthy process to check oneself in. There’s also no toilet avaible in the lobby before you’ve finished checking in and are able to enter he next door. The rooms are very modern and comfortable, with a completely different feel than the outside, the lobby and the breakfast room. There’s so AC so if visiting m in the summer as we did you might want to sleep with the windows open, but if you have a room facing the church you need to prepare yourself for the church bell chiming every quarter with a small dong and every full hour with as many chimes as the hour.

The view of the valley and mountains is literally breathtaking. You can use your Swiss Travel Pass for most of the bus route. Public bus service is as useful as in Switzerland.

I loved my time at Hotel Oberland!! The views are everything. I made a decision to stay in Triesenberg, rather than Vaduz or another town in the valley, primarily to save money. But it was so worthwhile for the views and the quiet away from the busier areas. Thankfully the buses to Vaduz and elsewhere are timely and convenient. (Just be aware it’s an uphill walk from the bus stop, which can be challenging with luggage.) The self check-in system worked well. But it was a very pleasant highlight to have staff cooking during the breakfast service. They were so welcoming, and the food was great, just what I needed for all the hiking I did throughout Liechtenstein.

The best hotel we stayed at in Europe. The views alone could give this hotel 5 stars, but the room was clean and nice as well. Check in was easy and the bus stop was not too far away. Although, you should be warned the first walk up with your luggage can be a bit of a battle, but we took plenty of stops to take in the view anyways.

Nowhere is cheap in Lichtenstein and Hotel Oberland does offer good value compared to many others. The self service check in was easy to follow. The room was compact but had a balcony with amazing views over the valley and Swiss mountains. It was noisy though with the windows open fire to the road outside and the church. Breakfast was good and included in the price.

Check in process is not very clear for English speaking people and there is no reception staff. luckily for us there was a onsite employee available to assist during our check in they needed to call for help twice while checking us in which confirmed the challenge. Not sure if this was due to booking by Expedia rather than direct. Check out however is very simple just drop cards in slot. Hotel is on a road and can be noisy there is also a church right across so church bells do go off at various intervals. Buffet breakfast was adequate when compared to others on trip. What a wonderful property! It’s small, but very well done with a homey atmosphere that manages to also feel modern with the self check in and honor bar. Breakfast was delicious and options were plentiful with wonderful pastries, meats, cheeses, coffees and teas and a hostess to make your eggs as you like. This was just the feeling I was looking for when I booked. Our room was well appointed and had the best view from the balcony. I was a little worried about the lack of A/C, but with the doors to the balcony and the windows that opened to the mountain air, even my picky city teens were comfortable. We were only there for one night, but it was a memorable one.

Family - Summer Holiday All rooms with balcony have a beautiful view, but are all located towards a busy road and a church across the street. Since there is no airco you want to open the window at night when the days are hot. But due to the noise you want to keep them closed. Breakfast was a bit basic but still very good. Except for the - very friendly- lady at breakfast, there is no staff. Be prepared for a self-service check-in experience, there is a self-service bar as well.

Absolutely fantastic hotel for visiting Liechtenstein with easy access to the bus. The breakfast was especially great - lots of choice, freshly cooked eggs to order and great local produce. Great room too with the most beautiful view. A plug adapter is provided.

It's a bit odd that there were no staff on duty. You receive an email link to a website where you fill in all your details,then on arrival produce your own key cards. They also use Swiss plugs too, not standard European ones could be a little problematic.
