Great location for our needs

Check in was fast and efficient, staff at check in were nice and professional. Room is very worn out and needs to be freshened up. Looks like walls have had damage and been patched up in the living room. The wall in the hallway needs a clean as there are wet marks on there, almost like they haven’t been wiped down properly. Could feel the middle part of the mattress where the two mattresses connect. Damage to the table out on the balcony. Not sure if the door on the shower was damaged and a shower curtain has been put on. Location of hotel is good.

Way too strong chemicals being pumped through reception and the lifts. strong cheap fragrances and chemical smell, I had a bad asthma attack from it. So don’t stay here if you have any asthma / allergies / sensitivities. I also had to get changed at work as my clothes smelled like it and it really is a cheap bad smell and way too strong. They have lots of those deodorisers going off every 2 minutes and in the lifts they have a deodoriser that’s meant for the size of a big room so you can’t breathe in the lifts either. Used to be a classy hotel with great apartments but now has a very cheap and nasty feel. You can smell it from the street it’s that strong.

The property was clean and comfortable with most amenities that we needed. They had even given us a bottle of wine and chocolates for our anniversary. A lovely touch. It was in an excellent position for restaurants, bars and transport. We were within walking distance of most landmarks. We used the indoor pool once but found it to be quite isolated as you have to go down to and walk across the car park area. On the 2nd to last night we got back from our day out and couldn't get into our room. We got the reception to have a look and unfortunately it was a problem with the lock. We waited down in the lobby and about an hour after were told we had to move rooms. It was 8pm by this point and we hadn't eaten and had to cook our meal. Which we told the staff. We then had to move our stuff from one room to another. Which a staff member helped with. They said they had upgraded us but we saw no differences in the rooms except a TV in the bedroom. I know it wasn't anyone's fault but we thought they could have at least offered us a meal brought to our room as they did room service and we had to cook our meal at about 9pm at night. Irrespective of this we had a lovely time in Brisbane and the hotel was ideal for what we wanted.
