If the weather allows, dine alfresco on the patio, or make your way up to the first floor past the house bathroom with bath and over bath shower with separate WC, to the snug/ second lounge where you can relax and watch TV, or go through onto the sun-terrace and enjoy a cool drink with friends. By car, head towards Pickering, where you can tour the remains of Pickering Castle, or board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for stunning vistas of the countryside, dotted through the North Riding Forest Park.
