Mitten | Campagne | Cottage Famille Hickory

We just needed a place to sleep and shower. Property was fine for this. Parking was kind of tight with narrow drive, but adequate. Plenty of room inside for the two of us. Apartment door must have previously been kicked in and didn’t look very secure. We didn’t feel comfortable leaving anything important inside while we were away. Overall, it worked for sleeping and showering.

There were a lot of extras supplied by the host. They had toys in the laundry area, along with games and puzzles that my grandkids could play. They also supplied soaps, shampoo, etc, which I will have to keep in mind for the next time. Less to pack! Rockford unfortunately experienced 10 inches of snow, and with our early checkout, we had to shovel out. But we got a 50 dollar reimbursement, which was very kind. With all the extras, I would suggest labels on the cabinets and their content. I ended up getting some things that were not necessary, but we left them there! I would stay again.

Nice unit with some privacy out of town a bit. Perfect for our parents coming to visit who wouldn’t want to be downtown. Clean and stocked well.

Rockford wasn’t too far from the tulip Festival in Holland, plus we discovered that the Rockford downtown area was charming. Also convenient to the Frederick Meijer Flower and Sculpture Garden. The accommodations were very basic but satisfactory.

We really enjoyed staying here. Everything was as described and the neighborhood was great! Everything was clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay here again.
