A variety of fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are landed by the large fishing boats that are moored around the harbour wall. Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a sizable population of terns, puffins, and eider ducks, is located one mile south of Amble. Boat tours around the island can be booked.
