Perfect stay! However, we had one suggestion. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop restaurant which does not sell alcohol. It would be so nice to enjoy beautiful view on the patio having nice bottle of wine. We had to go somewhere else to enjoy the evening.

Super Zentrale Lage zu den meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ca.300m zur Hagia Sophia und Sultan Ahmet Moschee und etwa 500m zum Topkapi Palast. Wir haben unseren Mietwagen vor dem Hotel geparkt und bis zur Abreise nie bewegt weil alles Fußläufig zu erreichen war. Absolut Empfehlenswert für Istanbul !!!

Super Ausblick aus der Terrasse!! Einfach der Hammer !!!!! Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und schön möbliert, aber leider zu klein für drei Personen. Personal super! Leider war das baby Beistellbett nicht im gutem Zustand. Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Lage war super, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten waren zu Fuß erreichbar.

The location of the property was great and staff were very friendly and helpful. Otherwise, AC was very loud and not cooling properly. Furniture in room was also slightly outdated. No converter plugs were available, or iron or ironing board.

Personel güleryüzlü, otel konforluydu Otoparka para ödemek değil haraç vermek can sıkıcıydı. Boş ayakkabı kutumuzu personel sormadan atmış, oysa ki gerekliydi. Manzara zaten müthiş Art niyetli bir tavır yoktu, herkes işinin başındaydı Yine olsa yine kalırım 👍

I am not sure if it's just how it is in Istanbul, as most things here were very expensive despite being low quality, but given how expensive this hotel is, it was underwhelming. The breakfast buffet was very mediocre (for example, no toaster for all the untoasted bread), the rooms were ok but had an old dirty carpet, and the toilet had a very noisy fan. Can't compare to other hotels in the city, but compared to the standard you get for example in Asia, this wasn't worth what you paid.

A good place to stay while exploring Istanbul, close to all the historical places , also staff is very helpful and good mannered, the cleaning lady was keeping our room tidy and clean . If you want to book any tours you can just go to the reception staff and they will sort you out . Worth staying.👍

The location is first rate. There are plenty of restaurants close by as well as public transportation to the bazaars and waterways. Lots of sites within walking distance - it couldn't have been better. The hotel is dated and worn. It is clean without question but I would say it is a travelers hotel. There is a nice selection of breakfast items and juices in a large dining room which was a plus. Staff was always helpful and an extra bonus is the luggage scale - great for the souviners we added to our baggage! I wouldn't say the AC was broken but felt more like a swap cooler in the rooms that a traditional AC. The weather was gorgeous and the windows open easily which turned out to be perfect for us!

Did not like No airconditiong in room. Safe broke down with passports in before leaving. King size bed had no bed sheets. Shower kind of crummy. Not fit to ever go back to.

The staff where rude and unhelpful.. The room is outdated and dirty. The AC and the room safe did not work. My door card failed to work every single day. I would not stay at that hotel again nor would I recommended it to anyone else.

Overall it was an ok stay (we stayed for 6 nights, first time in Istanbul). Staff was friendly and helpful, location is good and close to historic sites. That's where it fall short of my expectations: - rooms look much nicer on the photos, not as impressive in person - breakfast lacks variety - salad/cheese/tea/coffee were ok, hot dishes were very limited (not much to choose from so most of us were skipping them most of the times)

Rooms may be a bit small but with comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast at the terrace was excellent with magnificent views of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the old town. The waiters there are very helpful and they took me many photos with the views. The area is safe, you can easily walk to the main attractions.

The corner room was spectacular with the Blue Mosque right outside our window. We loved the total experience. The hotel decor made us feel like we were staying in the Ottoman dynasty. The staff was fantastic, and we will stay there again in our next visit to Istanbul. Sarya and Adnan, two of the many hotel associates were great.

The hotel has some advantages; close to the main tourists sights, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern etc, it is also near to the Tram Lime 1 stop. The breakfast area does provide great views and is perfect for photos. The down side for me is the noise for rooms above and to the side; very thin walls, you hear everything when people come in late, open and close door, every conversation, for that reason alone I won;t stay there again..

The hotel is in good place, you can walk to lots of attractions places. There are alot of restaurants around and transport like tram, trains and buses. The reception is helpful if you want to get a taxis with reasonable prices to the airport. Musa the receptionists is very friendly and always helpful. Thx for the welcoming environment 🙂.

Very good location, close to grand bazar, walking distance to metro station , friendly staff ,Mr mosa in reciption was very helpful and polite, roof top breakfast was fantastic and tasty food but breakfast supervisor behaviour was unprofessional (one day I took a small piece of cake to eat on my way he quickly approached to me and with very rude manner said look; there is a camera here you are not allowed to take it outside the restaurant 🤔very unprofessional behaviour)I believe he needs more training, otherwise all other staff were very nice and dutiful,totally we had a great time in golden horn hotel and it was fantastic 🙏

Our stay at the Goldenhorn was very enjoyable! It is conveniently located next to all of the main attractions and the restaurants we went to that were nearby. We’re all delicious! The staff at the hotel was so kind and hospitable. When it was time to leave they made sure to arrange our taxi ride to the airport And made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good and sitting on the terrace with the view of Hagia Sophia and the blue mosquewas priceless!

Have stayed many times usually 2/3 times a year as location is great and always been reasonably happy this time I asked for a birthday cake for my husband it didn’t appear the woman said by email discuss with the front desk they knew nothing about it?? We asked them to get us a taxi to airport after having an experience with a taxi wanting to rip us off and the guy arranged his friend and agreed 250tl we had paid 180tl for airport direct to hotel on the meter, taxi fares went up in 1 Jan. The driver didn’t use the meter and was absolutely crazy amazed we landed at airport in one piece! Then he wanted 300tl after agreeing the price and refusing to use the meter . I know this goes on and no meter no argument which is what I said to the driver and gave him the agreed amount! Service was distinctly lacking this time maybe we have stayed too many times so will have a change next time.

Central location, but walking up and down hills on uneven surface. Taxi didn't want to drive by waivy, narrow, crowded old streets, or wanted twice or triple metter prices.Buildings renovations nearby. Knowing that we stay only for 2 nights and get to hotel in around 10pm- we were assigned to cheaper and smaller room, then we booked via Expedia web. Front desk older guy talked to us with frustration. Lobby and Room decor is nice, but shows wear and tear signs.Breakfast is good. Feel like overpaid for stay and entitled for a refund in price between booked deluxe room and staying in standart room fees.

As a solo traveler I loved this property. It was convenient to all of the major sites and public transportation. Musa at the front desk made sure I had his contact number in case I need assistance while touring the city. The hotel was lovely and an amazing view from the rooftop. They did recommend the evening river boat cruise, which was more like a nightclub on the water, which I did not enjoy. But everything else about my stay and their hospitality was excellent!!!

Really nice place in a great location, 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, 10 minutes from the Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar, but on a quiet street so no traffic noise. Good buffet breakfast, quiet hotel, comfy bed, lots of hot water and friendly attentive staff. Views from the breakfast terrace are unbelievable, across the mosque and out across the Bosphorus. What more do you need?

Super Zentrale Lage zu den meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ca.300m zur Hagia Sophia und Sultan Ahmet Moschee und etwa 500m zum Topkapi Palast. Wir haben unseren Mietwagen vor dem Hotel geparkt und bis zur Abreise nie bewegt weil alles Fußläufig zu erreichen war. Absolut Empfehlenswert für Istanbul !!!

Overall excellent experience, really prime location as everything is pretty much walking distance such as hagia sofia, blue mosque, topkapi palace, basilica cistern. Metro station is not more than 2 mins walk which is a plus if youre looking to travel to places such as grand bazar dilmabache palace etc. you can get a istanbul pass from kiosks (150 lira) and charge it to be able to use it on the metro

Overall it was an ok stay (we stayed for 6 nights, first time in Istanbul). Staff was friendly and helpful, location is good and close to historic sites. That's where it fall short of my expectations: - rooms look much nicer on the photos, not as impressive in person - breakfast lacks variety - salad/cheese/tea/coffee were ok, hot dishes were very limited (not much to choose from so most of us were skipping them most of the times)

Rooms may be a bit small but with comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast at the terrace was excellent with magnificent views of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the old town. The waiters there are very helpful and they took me many photos with the views. The area is safe, you can easily walk to the main attractions.

I cannot recommend the Deluxe Golden Horn Sultanahmet Hotel. The hotel fell well below the standard I expected, particularly considering its presentation, price, and 4-star rating. The hotel, especially the rooms, was poorly maintained, with peeling wallpaper, water damage, mold, excessive dust, and a musty smell. The bathroom had a partially broken shower handle, missing tile grout, and an unpleasant sewage odor. Soundproofing was inadequate, and we could clearly hear guests in neighboring rooms. We stayed for 9 nights and had specifically requested a quiet room on a higher floor, as we needed rest. Instead, we were placed directly above the main entrance, exposed to considerable street noise and cigarette smoke from the smoking area below. We requested a room change twice but received only vague promises that they would look into it. Nothing happened. Breakfast was also disappointing, with poor service and insufficient cleanliness in the dining area. There were some positives: the central location is excellent, the rooftop terrace offers beautiful views, there were plenty of staff, and extensive security camera coverage made us feel safe. Daily housekeeping deserves particular praise. Our room was thoroughly cleaned and tidied every day, with fresh towels, a neatly made bed. Overall, this hotel does not meet the standards one should reasonably expect from a 4-star hotel. Do not staying here if comfort, cleanliness, and a peaceful environment are important to you.

This place was great. We had 24 hours in Istanbul so the location was perfect for us to see Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Could also walk to Galata easily enough. The staff was helpful and very nice. The breakfast was awesome!! The room was clean and very cool. It was a good deal for us and hit the spot.
