Sidmouth is a bustling seaside town settled along the stunning Devon coastline; here you will find a selection of tasty eateries, pubs, independent shops to browse at your leisure and convenience stores where you can stock up on essentials. Ocean views can be enjoyed from Peak Hill and Connaught Gardens, whilst you can try out watersports and wild swimming at Sidmouth Beach and Weston Beach. A little further from the property you will find the thriving town of Lyme Regis, a great place to begin your exploration of the Jurassic coast and to see what fossils you can find hidden within the rocks. Lyme Regis also has many excellent eateries, including Lal Qilla Indian restaurant and Rock Point Inn, as well as many independent shops selling homemade produce and fossils, and a museum to pique your curiosity. The Norman Lockyer Observatory in Sidmouth, which includes a planetarium, is one of the few observatories with open access. The Seaton tramway, Pecorama, with its award-winning miniature train and gardens, the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve, and other attractions may be found close to Sidmouth.
