Red Roof Inn and Suites Newark - University

I believe it’s a shelter also. There were crackheads hanging near the entrance asking for cigarettes. I was locked out of my room after returning late; and no I didn’t have my key near my phone. The bathtub was rusted bad and the water pressure in the sink was very low. The early staff was great; females by the way. The men that worked late were real scared and fidgety which means the property is really not that safe if you operate through a glass window and act cold to the customers.

The refrigerator wasn’t working ice machines on every floor wasn’t working and we told them that and they knew that and didn’t do nothing about it

The first room we were given had puke or other bodily fluid on the bed skirting and hair in the bathroom. We were then given another room on the 2nd floor. When walking up the stairs there was a strong odor from someone using a spray gun to paint over the brown water stained ceiling tiles. The paint particles were lingering in the air making me want to gag. We continued to the room where it smelled like a chain smoker was living there for a year. Absolutely do not recommend this hotel. In my personal opinion the building should be condemned.

Toilets broken dirty too much money for a terrible room

Roach infested and dirty. I left as soon as I saw the room and booked a different hotel
