Port Mulgrave beach is just a few minutes' walk, with its fossils and rock pooling, whilst the picturesque fishing village of Runswick Bay is one mile away and offers a sandy cove, just perfect for building sand castles and paddling in the sea. Take a bracing cliff-top walk on the Cleveland Way with superb coastal views, or explore the nearby seaside town of Whitby, steeped in history with its narrow, cobbled streets, interesting shops and famous abbey.
