We loved the gym, pool and hot tub. The grout in our bathroom was crumbling into red dirt and the staff was fabulous at giving us a new room. It is an old hotel and not as clean as I’d expect from its rating.

Parking was easy to find, good space for trailers and RV type travellers We checked in later but the front counter had a sign saying “be right back”… waited and found the manger on duty was just in the back watching something so loud I had to yell to get checked in. He then took 20 mins to enter my information repeatedly and kept delaying check in.

Where to start. First off the pool was closed with no mention when we booked. I am not against pet friendly hotels, but I am against listening to dogs bark all night long! There are No smoking signs all over the hotel, but our room smelt horribly of cigarette smoke and was coming in from the adjoining room door. I was not at all impressed with this hotel.

The hotel itself was great, we just happened to choose the day the elevator was out. Room was huge. Everything was clean. Power outage the next morning halted breakfast, so can't say anything about it.

Staff was very friendly and check in was quick and easy. Once we got to our room, I felt my shoes sticking to the floor, even kn the carpet area. The furniture was uncomfortable and falling apart. I found it ironic considering the spa and pool were very clean. I would not stay here again.

Horrible cleanliness. Felt something crawling on me. Looked behind bed and you could tell they never cleaned behind the bed or between the mattresses. Pillow has blood. The carpet felt so thick as if it was covered with dirt and sticky. It was just the nastiest feeling ever.

The beds are dirty with black hairs on them. I requested a new room, but there was no room available for us. I requested new sheets and put them on myself. There was dog kibble on the floor on either side of the beds. I don’t think this room was clean, including the sheets.

Definitely a nice hotel. Someone had been smoking weed or vaping in the room though. (Front desk game me some Lysol spray). Condenser motor in the room heat/AC unit was loud, but we were tired enough to fall asleep

This was a decent hotel. It felt older and a bit run down but clean. The thermostat in our room wasn’t working so the only means of cooling the room was the unit under the window and it didn’t circulate the cool air which is problematic in August in New Mexico.

Decent hotel but not impressive. The room air conditioner was quite loud making it difficult to sleep. If you do stay ask for a room on the back side of the hotel which is quieter, away from the highway and truck stop across the street.

Excellent breakfast, my 11yo wouldn't stop talking about the strawberry waffles. We had the 2 queen beds with the pull out couch and it was a very nice size.

We won’t be back! This hotel is a dump. Very old and dingy. The floors are paper thin and we were woken by stopping feet above us. If you stay here, book on the third floor for an undisturbed sleep.

I wasn’t there for very long and I only needed one thing, a 4:00 am wake up call. I needed a good night’s sleep, so I could drive all day, but the front desk clerk set the call for 3:00 am instead. I realize that it’s only an hour, but it really did affect me the rest of the day.

I love the employees. I am a dissabled adult on meds. We checked in late and because no one was open to eat, the front desk gentleman went and got me a tv diner so i could take my meds before bed. It truly touched my heart! Will be staying here everytime i come through santa rosa! God bless you all.

When we checked in Ray was great. After he left, we should have as well. Problem with the suite, girl didn't care and lied about taking care of it. Went back hour later and was ignored by her and another girl who never even looked at me or acknowledged i was just standing there waiting to speak to them. They lost my business.

This was my first stay at a Hampton and I was a little disappointed. The room was clean and everything was ok but was not what I expected from this pricier choice. The bathroom had spots on the tile floor that made it look dirty. Bad caulk job around base of tub. Tub creaked and groaned when we stepped in, making me feel like it was going to fall through the floor. The hot breakfast was good but it took breakfast server more than 20 minutes to restock empty breads. So, overall, a disappointing stay.

The hotel itself was great, we just happened to choose the day the elevator was out. Room was huge. Everything was clean. Power outage the next morning halted breakfast, so can't say anything about it.

Excellent breakfast, my 11yo wouldn't stop talking about the strawberry waffles. We had the 2 queen beds with the pull out couch and it was a very nice size.

We typically stay at this location on our summer trip with no issues, but this year the hotel was being renovated and was quite the mess everywhere. Virtually everything including the pool and other amenities was closed. Renovation showed everywhere including our halls and rooms. But, we received no discount. I'll be re-assessing next year where to stay as we travel again.

For the most part the hotel was okay. The problem came in when we got to our room and the electronic door lock showed green and the door was still locked. The cleaning crew that was on the floor at the time couldn’t open it either. I went down to the front desk and the woman told me that I needed to insert the key card, then remove it and count to four. She said that might work. I told her I wanted a different room with a lock that actually worked. She looked irritated but finally gave me the room next to the original. The key worked initially but eventually I had to keep inserting the key card to get the light to turn green. Thankfully it was for only one night.

Upon arriving we found the lobby to be under construction. There was a huge centipede just outside our room and the door to the outside was propped open. The room was not cleaned - trash in the trash can, room not vacuumed, and crickets in the bathroom. It was a windy night and it whistled through the A/C vent all night. Our stay was further worsened by my kids and wife sneezing all night because the hotel is "pet" friendly. We asked for another room, but we were notified there wasn't another room similar and every room is pet welcome. Thus we suffered through a sleepless night in a situation that the hotel could not fix even when notified.
