Wonderful hotel located right by the sea - our junior suite upgrade was so worth it. Just remember to contact the property in advanced to understand the parking situation, as the property isn’t accessible by car!

Great location. Having to queue up to get a sun lounger, not enough sun loungers. The sun beds on the hotel's private beach were absolutely deeadful, they were very old and looked very uncomfortable, also the umbrellas were very tatty and old, NOT THE STANDARD OF A 4 STAR HOTEL

The hotel is right by the beach and in the most popular street of Nerja. The service is outstanding, I rarely felt so welcome in a hotel. At breakfast, we had a lady pass by to make sure that everything was ok with the room, told her that the shampoo dispenser wasn’t working and it got immediately fixed. We had a Junior suite with a balcony with a magnificent view. At the beach, they have chairs and umbrellas you can use. The water the first days was perfect, but our last two days we had a red flag because of the waves. The swimming pool is beautiful and the water was warmer than the beach, although finding chairs available was harder.

The breakfast was great, the pool and sauna were situated with an excellent view. They had beach towels and a beach bag on the bed as a gift which was very nice. The only complaint was parking- very far and in an underground parking garage you have to pay a lot for and the bed is rock hard.

excellent as were the facilities and restaurant. You coukd get a free chair on a very small beach but since we were a family needing space to play we opted to go to the beach and rent chairs for 6 euro. Great location and overall experience.

Location of hotel on beach was good but the hotel entrance to access the beach was not open until 10am each day - far too late. Marketed as a private beach but it is not - non hotel guests able to gain access well before 10am. Change of beach towels only allowed between 10am -noon. It had the feel of a hotel run by rules to benefit the hotel and not the guests. Beach bar was lovely and food good. I booked a junior suite which was disappointingly dark and dated - certainly not a suite by my understanding. Overall, disappointing; certainly not worth the money and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Balcon. Highly recommended. Limited space on the pool deck and the beach deck meant not able to get a sun bed and annoyingly others had reserved sun beds.

It was an amazing experience. It was my boyfriends birthday amd they had champagne in the room to celebrate! Amazing view of the ocean. Clean room. Huge spread for breakfast. Only inconvenience is locating the hotel via car and findind where to park. Not the hotels fault. Just be prepared.

Best hotel we've ever stayed in and we've been to Nerja ten times. Room cleaned everyday, hotel was spotless, lovely staff that go out of their way to greet staff eveytime you enter the hotel. They even arranged taxi to airport. Driver met us at reception, took our cases and escorted us to carpark for €80. After staying at Hotel Balcon wouldnt stay anywhere else!

We have stayed at the Hotel Balcon many times and it never disappoints. Although a little dated to look at, it is always spotlessly clean, staff are excellent and the position of the hotel is perfect. We are already looking to book for next year.

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming hotel, which felt like we were stepping back to the 60’s - in a good way! It was our first time in Nerja and I don’t think there could have been a better position. We opted for a full sea view with a balcony and were on the 9th floor, and it did not disappoint. The view of both the sea and the Balcon spectacular ❤️. The room isn’t the biggest but had everything we needed for a week’s stay. Big wardrobe space, huge comfortable bed, chair and dressing table. Big tv with UK channels 1-5 (this really isn’t a requirement for us but was a great bonus, particularly as the weather wasn’t good and we spent more time in our room than anticipated!). There was also a safe and a fridge which is always handy. The bathroom was fine, a little tired too, but everything was absolutely spotless. Good selection at breakfast and again, that view, wow! We managed to have one day of sun and opted for their private beach area. The hotel provides beach towels which is, again, handy. Very comfortable sunbed and nice to have the bar so close. All the staff we came into contact with were very pleasant and helpful. Special mention to the man who checked us out very early, he was just lovely. If you want super modern and contemporary, this isn’t the place for you, but if you like a bit of history in a well cared for hotel in an amazing position, then I can highly recommend the Balcón de Europa.

Lovely stay, but our room wasn’t the best it was an awkward shape room, it had no balcony and a large step up to the dressing table & wardrobe that you’d kill yourself on if you missed it. It was just as well we didn’t spend much time in the room cause it wouldn’t have been a room to sit in and relax, it was also very dark as it had a glass block window and a very small window along the corridor part of the room so no natural light actually got to the bed.

Plus: Great Location, Great view and great breakfast. Minus: Very hard and uncomfortable beds. Much noice from floors above -woke us up at 06.00 in the morning and impossible to sleep.

Vi boede lige ovenover en automatisk åbnende hotelindgangs dør, som vi kunne høre i vores værelse, og det var ret irriterende, - især om natten. Derudover var der meget lydt, fra værelset ved siden af, hvor der ankom ret støjende gæster midt om natten

The breakfast was great, the pool and sauna were situated with an excellent view. They had beach towels and a beach bag on the bed as a gift which was very nice. The only complaint was parking- very far and in an underground parking garage you have to pay a lot for and the bed is rock hard.

Highlight of our trip. Incredible location, great staff, amazing breakfast, and facilities. Wonderful sea view room with deck overlooking the beach. Lots of places to walk. Hotel staff made up two twin beds as one larger bed, which worked well. The overall atmosphere was impressive and relaxing. Everyone was so friendly. We would certainly stay again. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Balcon de Europa.

Best hotel we've ever stayed in and we've been to Nerja ten times. Room cleaned everyday, hotel was spotless, lovely staff that go out of their way to greet staff eveytime you enter the hotel. They even arranged taxi to airport. Driver met us at reception, took our cases and escorted us to carpark for €80. After staying at Hotel Balcon wouldnt stay anywhere else!

It is a very well run hotel and all the staff were friendly, attentive and efficient with any problems attended to in an efficient manner. It is an hotel in which you can immediately feel at home and enjoy your holiday. Also the food was good and interesting.

Wonderful hotel located right by the sea - our junior suite upgrade was so worth it. Just remember to contact the property in advanced to understand the parking situation, as the property isn’t accessible by car!

This hotel is in the best location and our room had a spectacular view of the ocean from our own private balcony. Easy to get to, great walkable location, delicious breakfast buffet (with gluten free and nondairy items), and wonderful room. Highly recommend!

Inte helt modernt hotell. Ganska halvdan service i reception och frukostmatsal. Väldigt engelsk frukostbuffé (korv, bacon, bönor) - ingen variation direkt. Väldigt små balkonger med sol bara delar av dagen. Trist solaltan. Dock fantastiskt läge i Nerja. Nära till allt.

excellent as were the facilities and restaurant. You coukd get a free chair on a very small beach but since we were a family needing space to play we opted to go to the beach and rent chairs for 6 euro. Great location and overall experience.

Hotel Balcón de Europa er et sted, der kombinerer fantastisk beliggenhed, ro, venligt personale og god mad. Pool‑reglen med at først at åbne kl. 10 gør oplevelsen ekstra afslappet, og udsigten er noget, man aldrig glemmer.

This was a beautiful property right on the beach. It had the best breakfast buffet I've had during my 2-week tour of Southern Spain. We could choose from sun beds at the beach, the swimming pool, or the rooftop solarium. I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Nerja. The one negative was that there is no convenient parking for the hotel so we had to park in a sold out public lot and lug our suitcases a good distance to the hotel.

Small, crowded beach and small crowded, pool with too few sunbeds. None of the guests bothered minding the hotel rules on not reserving beds with towels in the morning, so there where large ques when the door out to the beach opened. Breakfast and rooms were nice. Got rooms on the first floor. Assume the sea view is quite nice from higher up. Hammer/drill noise from 00:00 to 00:40 kept both of rooms awake one of the nights. A bit claustrophic feel to the hotel. Friendiy staff.

Great stay at the Balcon De Europa hotel. Location was perfect. Unfortunately the beach in front of the hotel was a very popular public beach (I thought it was a private beach for hotel guests) and it was impossible to find a spot on the beach. In any case the other beaches close to the hotel were excellent. We had a sea view balcony which was ideal. The Staff were incredibly helpful. Francisco stood out for his hospitality at breakfast and also at dinner in the Náutico restaurant. Great few days in Nerja. Will return to this hotel.
