Beach lovers are well catered for with sandy beaches at Polstreath just outside the village and Pentewan, just over two miles by car or less on the coast path whilst the beaches of Gorran Haven and Caerhays are also within a short drive. A public footpath close to Respryn leads to the picturesque cove of Portmellon which also boasts a restaurant and pub. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project with its inspirational biospheres of tropical and temperate plants are both within a fifteen minute drive.
