Pretty little shops and cafés are dotted around and if you continue northwards along the Moray Firth coastline there are an abundance of small fishing villages, each with their own history and visitor attractions. Leaving the coast why not pick up the famous Malt Whisky Trail and drive through some of the countrys most stunning scenery, stopping off at the distilleries along the route. Nairn is close to the capital city of the Highlands, Inverness, and a drive around the banks of famous Loch Ness partaking in a spot of Nessie hunting can be great fun.
