About this property

The spacious living area which feels light and airy with the original barns beamed ceilings. The cottage is flooded with light it has a double aspect looking out over both the courtyards and the gardens. The home from home kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of cupboard & worktop space, ideal for whipping up family meals and picnics. Appliances include a gas cooker, Rayburn range cooker (off in the summer), fridge freezer, microwave washing machine and dishwasher. Cupboards and drawers are stocked with cutlery, crockery glasses pans and oven trays. There is also a toaster, Tassimo coffee machine and a cafetiere, tea towels oven gloves and an eco-housekeeping starter box are also provided. Swallow has a large idining table which can be extended to seat up to 10 for a family gathering. The bright living space has 2 large sofas and a comfortable arm-chair, for those cosy winter evenings there is also a wood burning stove (first bag of logs and firelighters are complimentary). Onsite we have fibre broadband, free Wi-Fi and the cottage has a 43"LG Smart TV with Amazon Prime Video and Netflix so you can watch all your favourite shows. There are 3 bedrooms: the Master Bedroom has a king sized bed and leads to a Jack and Jill style family bathroom with an over bath shower, WC and hand basin. There is a single bedroom which has a 3ft single bed and clothes storage. The 3rd bedroom is a double bedroom with 2 x 2ft6" zip and link beds and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, WC and hand basin. The cottage is supplied with books and games and a Red Kite travel cot, and high chair, other baby friendly extras can be booked in advance of your stay. OUTSIDE The glazed patio doors lead out from the living space on to the terrace overlooking a private fenced garden area and out to the shared grassy recreation paddock and play areas, where children can meet new friends and enjoy some freedom in while Mum and Dad can cook up a storm on the charcoal barbecue with a glass of wine whilst keeping an eye on things. There is ample private parking on site and In the lower car park there is an E.V. charging point. You'll find plenty to do on site, including taking a dip in the luxury indoor heated pool, tennis or pool and table tennis in the games room where there is also a toddler play area. Sorry, we do not permit dogs on our main site. The tiny hamlet of Cranmer is surrounded by idyllic rolling farmland and is situated within 12 miles of the stunning Norfolk Heritage Coast, and the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The local market town of Fakenham, often referred to as the gateway to north Norfolk is less than 5 miles away. The area is quick and easy to get to from the major routes whilst still being in a peaceful location just off the beaten track. Access to the A148 and the A1065 is within 2 miles, connecting with the M11 to Cambridge and London for a journey that should take less than 3 hours, or with the A148 and A52 for Nottingham, for a journey within 2 1/2 hours. Fakenham comes alive on Thursday market day and has all the services a family should need including, banks, doctors surgery Tesco Morrisons Lidl & Aldi. All the main supermarkets deliver to Cranmer The up-market village of Burnham Market is within 7 miles and the wonderful Holkham Estate & Holkham Bay are less than 11 miles away. The city of Norwich is 29 miles from Cranmer and less than an hour away, there you will find an array of galleries, theatres, restaurants, a castle, a stunning cathedral and of course shops. Kings Lynn with its fascinating maritime history is 35 minutes away. Other important local attractions include The Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall, and Felbrigg hall and the coastal towns and villages of Wells-next-the-Sea and Brancaster. The nearest Pub/restaurant to Cranmer is the excellent Michelin listed Sculthorpe Mill, only 2 miles away. You'll find plenty of other very good award-winning pubs and eateries serving locally sourced menus in Burnham Market and the surrounding villages. North Norfolk is renowned for its 45 miles of spectacular coastline, fantastic wildlife, miles of glorious beach, seaside communities beautiful open countryside and picturesque market towns and villages. There is easy access to number of coastal cycling and walking routes nearby, including the Norfolk Coast Cycleway and the Norfolk Coast Path National Trail Within easy reach of Cranmer, there are all kinds of attractions for children of all ages from Wildlife adventure parks, steam railways, indoor adventure theme parks and seal spotting coastal boat trips. Award-winning Pensthorpe Wildlife Park is a favourite amongst our guests, within 5 miles and somewhere for the whole family to enjoy. There are also adventures to be had on beaches, in the quiet creeks and at the quayside; from rock-pooling at low tide, sandcastle building and Norfolk "Gilly crabbing" to Stand up paddle boarding and kayaking.
