We had the cutest cottage with a fireplace and whirlpool tub. Very clean, quiet, beautiful location. We will definitely go back-it was perfect for us.

Amazing stay for an extended weekend in DC. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room and the view were fantastic. 2 balconies for enjoying the fall air. And a nice fireplace and spa tub for the cold evenings.

Love the Snug. Right on the water! Gorgeous upfront marina view. Plenty of outside seating and BBQ grills. (No beach though). Cottages are so cute and kitchen well stocked with plates, glasses, cooking utensils, paper towel, new sponges, dish soap and even tin foil! Little outdated but kept clean!! Really comfortable pillows and beds. Great AC. Snug Harbor does a great job and they keep it affordable. The staff is soooooo nice. They love dogs and it’s a dog friendly property. Was just $15 a night for my dog. Great parking. Free wifi. About 3 miles to the action on Third Ave.

We've stayed here in one of the cottages on several occasions when visiting Door County. We love the location, the friendliness of the staff, the service, and especially that the cottages are dog friendly. Definitely one of our favorite places to stay! We will definitely be back to stay again.

Loved this property! We had a blast and enjoyed our stay. Provided wood for campfire and overall very clean. Had staff availability until 10pm which is not common for non hotel properties. Beautiful sunsets from the balconies.

Our room was very small and not very clean - carpet was gritty. There was no daily housekeeping. On the plus side, the check-in / check-out process was super easy. The location was excellent as it is on the canal and only a mile or so from downtown stores and restaurants. If I stayed here again, I'd get a larger room and one facing the canal versus the street.

We needed a last minute stay on our way to Door County, booked here because of location and reviews. The room we had was #11, it looked clean but was very musty smelling. The bed was decently comfortable but due to the smell, I would not stay again.

The place itself was great- right on the water and beautiful! The only setbacks were there is only one mirror in the entire room- so we had to get ready one by one, instead of getting ready simultaneously to be ready to go at the same time. The rooms were clean for the most part, but did have numerous cobwebs and spider webs- with actual spiders and bugs caught in their webs- hanging off the ceiling over the beds. Besides the two small things mentioned, the rooms were absolutely adorable and the service was phenomenal. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and took the time to write out things happening in the area and what she recommended for our family. Take note that the Inn is a good 25 minutes away from Egg Harbor, 35 minutes from Sister Bay, and about an hour to the ferry to Washington Island. Overall, the place was very nice and we would not mind staying again!

Cozy place, a tad dated (quaint?), and exceptionally clean. Staff were always available and prompt in providing us with what we needed. This was a great launch pad for exploring Door County. Quiet, safe, waterfront…and I wish my house was as clean as our room at Snug Harbor Inn.

Quick and easy check in. Beautiful view from the room and the inn is located directly on the waterfront. This is a pet friendly, which was evident by the cleanliness of the room. There was pet hair everywhere! Within five minutes, my friend’s socks looked like a dust rag. I wish I could post a picture on this review. Also note that the stairs to the loft are steep and narrow. This may be a concern for some with mobility issues.

We've visited Sturgeon Bay four times in as many years, and each time we've admired the Snug Harbor Inn from a distance—this year, we finally made it our home base, and we're so glad we did! The location couldn't be better—set in a safe, scenic area right on the water, it offers beautiful views and a quick drive to the downtown restaurants and shops. The nightly rate was very affordable, especially considering the prime location and easy access to all that Door County has to offer. Our room was very clean and well-kept, though a bit on the small side. That said, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was a little on the firm side, so not the most luxurious sleep, but honestly, we were mostly there to rest after full days of exploring—so it did the job just fine. Overall, Snug Harbor Inn lived up to our expectations and then some. We felt relaxed, safe, and welcomed—and we’d definitely stay here again next time we’re in Sturgeon Bay!

Cute, cozy room. Exceptionally clean, updated, very well cared for. Nice walk-in shower with soft water. The room even came with some plates and flatware in case we wanted to dine in our room. TV had multiple channels. Bed was very comfortable. Desk staff was pleasant and efficient. We enjoyed our stay.

The picture of the room was not what we received. We stayed in the tiniest room facing the parking lot. To make matters worse, the curtain didn’t close all the way jeopardizing our privacy. We cut our stay short when our son asked if he could join us. There was simply no room in what seemed like a jail cell from the Andy Griffith show.

My husband and I planned a trip to Sturgeon Bay for a guided fishing trip. We booked cottage 4 at Snug Harbor for the long weekend. It was perfect for us! It is nestled right on the water and close to many attractions. A big perk is the outdoor Tiki bar across the street. One downfall was being right next to a boat launch, those boats at 3am are not the quietest.

Lovely little place on the waterfront along a quiet street. Small, clean rooms. This is an older building but well-kept. I came across it on a brief business trip but will make it a point to stay here when visiting the area for work or pleasure.

Checkin was a breeze! The room was very spacious with a large bathroom, kitchen with everything you could need, and a nice couch and recliner to relax on and watch a movie. There was a separate whirlpool tub big enough for two people but we did not use it. The room had a comfortable queen size bed on the main level. A nice double size bed upstairs in the loft. Nice balcony off the loft as well a the main level room that looked out onto the bay. I would definitely stay there again.

Very quiet. Room was comfortable and clean. The handle on the door to the waterfront deck was missing on the outside and pulled through from the inside. One of the dimmer switch knobs was missing, the spiral staircase was very squeaky/noisy. Host and staff were very nice and helpful.

TV did not work for our entire stay. We reported it the first night but it was never fixed. Turn on, warm up, freeze and turn off, over and over again. Could not watch.. I asked for clean towels daily, third day I had to ask for towels and then walk around the dirty ones that were not picked up. Toilet seat was loose and we kept getting hit in the back with seat cover.

I asked for clean towels daily, third day I had to ask for towels and then walk around the dirty ones that were not picked up. Toilet seat was loose and we kept getting hit in the back with seat cover.

Location was great. Stayed two nights.. The night check in staff was very kind and helpful. There were a couple of things wrong with the room, and she took care of the issues. The check out staff was very kind as well. Great price and beautiful view. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing stay for an extended weekend in DC. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room and the view were fantastic. 2 balconies for enjoying the fall air. And a nice fireplace and spa tub for the cold evenings.

We've stayed here in one of the cottages on several occasions when visiting Door County. We love the location, the friendliness of the staff, the service, and especially that the cottages are dog friendly. Definitely one of our favorite places to stay! We will definitely be back to stay again.

Do not go to this hotel! They are scammers!! I paid for a deluxe cottage on Expedia. When I got to my cottage, the hotel staff had placed me in the cheaper cottage (smaller beds and no whirlpool). When I realized this, I spoke with the front desk lady. She said first that they didn’t have the cottage I had said I paid for. After showing her photos of that same cottage on THEIR website, she then that the cottage I had paid for was describing one of their other cottages. This was the first lie she told me. She said that the mixup between what I received from the hotel and what I paid for on Expedia was not her problem and would have to be resolved by Expedia. I called Expedia and they tried to resolve the issue by asking the hotel to issue me a refund. The front desk lady said to Expedia that ALL of the cottages are exactly the same which is not at all true based on the photos of their cottages. Also, I have stayed at one of their cottages previously which was very different from the one they had me in this time. Thus, the front desk lady said her second lie to not only me, but to Expedia. The front desk lady was incredibly rude through all of this. She said that the owner would get back to us later about a refund out of the goodness of his heart but likely would not give a refund DESPITE PLACING ME IN THE WRONG CABIN. Wonderful view of the bay. Our cottage had a small kitchen with most everything that you would need. It's a short drive to downtown. We would recommend this motel and absolutely stay here again if in the area.

My husband and I planned a trip to Sturgeon Bay for a guided fishing trip. We booked cottage 4 at Snug Harbor for the long weekend. It was perfect for us! It is nestled right on the water and close to many attractions. A big perk is the outdoor Tiki bar across the street. One downfall was being right next to a boat launch, those boats at 3am are not the quietest.

Our first time traveling to Door County and Snug Harbor made it extra special! Our room is just right in front of the lake! Not to far away from the everything. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely rebook to this place!

We've visited Sturgeon Bay four times in as many years, and each time we've admired the Snug Harbor Inn from a distance—this year, we finally made it our home base, and we're so glad we did! The location couldn't be better—set in a safe, scenic area right on the water, it offers beautiful views and a quick drive to the downtown restaurants and shops. The nightly rate was very affordable, especially considering the prime location and easy access to all that Door County has to offer. Our room was very clean and well-kept, though a bit on the small side. That said, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was a little on the firm side, so not the most luxurious sleep, but honestly, we were mostly there to rest after full days of exploring—so it did the job just fine. Overall, Snug Harbor Inn lived up to our expectations and then some. We felt relaxed, safe, and welcomed—and we’d definitely stay here again next time we’re in Sturgeon Bay!

This place was a great find! An old school property right on the water. We had a ground level unit facing the water with a small table on the patio outside our door to enjoy the water view. As a bonus, all the makings for a camp fire were provided which made for a very enjoyable surprise experience.

Checkin was a breeze! The room was very spacious with a large bathroom, kitchen with everything you could need, and a nice couch and recliner to relax on and watch a movie. There was a separate whirlpool tub big enough for two people but we did not use it. The room had a comfortable queen size bed on the main level. A nice double size bed upstairs in the loft. Nice balcony off the loft as well a the main level room that looked out onto the bay. I would definitely stay there again.

There is a front and back door in the room/efficiency. The back porch looks out onto the harbor/water. So beautiful! I loved having my dog with me. The kitchen had everything we needed to make and eat meals. Loved this place! I will be back.

Love the Snug. Right on the water! Gorgeous upfront marina view. Plenty of outside seating and BBQ grills. (No beach though). Cottages are so cute and kitchen well stocked with plates, glasses, cooking utensils, paper towel, new sponges, dish soap and even tin foil! Little outdated but kept clean!! Really comfortable pillows and beds. Great AC. Snug Harbor does a great job and they keep it affordable. The staff is soooooo nice. They love dogs and it’s a dog friendly property. Was just $15 a night for my dog. Great parking. Free wifi. About 3 miles to the action on Third Ave.

We loved Snug Harbor. The location was great for our 4 night stay. We loved the lakefront and watching the birds and boats. We were in room 9 and it had a great amount of space with a full kitchen and living room. The area was easy to get to all of Door County.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cabin. We really enjoyed watching the boats and the lift bridge. Very convenient area but away from the bussell.

I love to stay at Snug Harbor, did it 7- 8 years ago with my husband, since he passed in 2022 and I thought about time for a little get away, stayed Aug 31st thru Sept. 3rd. Sept 1st was my husband's birthday he would have been 62, was a great way to remember him !! Going back again and again for sure !!

First of all !! I booked my room over two months ago and I feel like they gave it to me as the last resort! It was the worst room in the complex! The room that I stayed in was not shown on any picture in the entire website! it was lower quality than a motel 6!! The furniture was so old and dated and beat up .... that no one would even pick it up on the side of the road. The room was musty! The air conditioner either was so cold you freeze or you had to shut it off there was no one in between!! One light didnt work! you could hear heavy step that the people above you walked! The bed had no boxspring! The room looked like it was starting to be renovated, and they never bothered to finish it! This room would be average at a fish camp! When I'm paying over $150 a night I expect something that's least clean and respectable looking ! not something that looks like it belongs in a notel hotel!! The carpet was literally over 10 years old. If I could give less than 0 I would! The attitude at the front desk was it was peak season ! you get what you get!

Beautiful view from both balconies. I loved watching boats passing by or staygazing. Having kitchen and fireplace made our stay really enjoyable. I will definitely stay there again.
