Easy parking, the outside of the hotel looked very nice. The hotel room was just as good as premier inn Or Travelodge. You have a big bar/pub on the side of the hotel, with plenty of alcohol and food options. The guy in the colourful shirt who checked us in was also very friendly and polite

My stay was exceptional. Staff were friendly, polite and accommodating. The only issue I found was the amount of stairs to climb to access my room, because the hotel doesn't have a lift.

Comfortable room, nice hot bath and shower, lots of parking, good cooked breakfast. Hotel is easy to find and convenient. Happy friendly staff, really nice pint of beer too. And such great value. We'll be back!

Easy to find and easy to park outside hotel. The bar was a bit roudy and the food choices are a bit limited to mostly fried stuff. The bedrooms are in an annex adjacent to the hotel which was a bit disappointing as it then feels like a budget motel type room. The room itself was quite small but adequate, overlooking the carpark. There was a bath which was a plus point. The bathroom had an odd smell to it, possibly a damp smell. Room was clean. Checkin and check-out were fine. Staff friendly. Cheaper than staying in sheffield and about a 20 min drive.

The bedrooms are a little tired and the annex corridor smelt fusty - very lumpy pillows and hard bed - but the linen was clean - not a lot more to say really other than it served a purpose for an overnight stay after a day and evening out in the area !!

For the price it was excellent, breakfast included also, had a good enough selection. It's quite tatty and needed updating, especially the bathroom but the shower worked and was very powerful. Enough plug sockets, mirrors and wardrobe space. We had an iron and ironing board in our room. Beds were surprisingly very comfortable and the room didn't get too hot and stuffy like some hotels do so slept really well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Last but not least, could not fault the cleanliness, the room was spotless!

Whilst the very warm welcome and overall friendly service was excellent, sadly the food was not great and the bedroom had definately seen better days. The smell in the corridor was unpleasant with plug in air fresheners to disguise the odour. THe walls were dented with damage, paint flaking off in most places, stained carpets and the bed was very hard. The linen and towels were usual hotel standard, fresh and clean and the bathroom was also clean. The staff were attentive, cheerful and welcoming which was the best feature of this hotel.

No receptionist, waited a while to get room key. Room very dusty and old fashioned 1 towel between us both. No toilet brush and a dribble of shower gel in dispenser. Was kept awake by a flood light shinign through curtains

The hotel has seen better days. It's creaky, faded, with outdated furnishing and facilities. But welcoming, safe, comfortable, with excellent service and a decent breakfast, so a very nice place to stay for the night. Thank you.

The hotel was in the right area that I needed to stay and the staff was very friendly however, the room was in much need of refurbishment. The decor felt outdated and the quality of work especially in the bathroom needs looking into. I wouldn't say the room I stayed in was worth £75.

A warm, informative welcome from reception. As I walked in my room I was hit by the heat. The bedroom radiator was on low and the bathroom towel rail was on. Windows in both rooms open so not so energy efficient. Due to heat from downstairs, radiators had to be kept turned off and bathroom window left open so I could sleep. With every single step the floor in both bedroom and bathroom creaked to the extent it made me feel uncomfortable thinking I was disturbing neighbouring rooms beside or below mine. Bed was really comfortable though and the room was kept clean during my stay. Breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent as was the service from housekeeping staff. The bar was ok. Staff weren’t as warm as in the hotel. Only ate there one night. The mash on my plate I was able to lift off in one piece and stand on its side. Didn’t eat there again. Noticed an outdoor heater by the door was on 24 hours a day and I mentioned it but it stayed on for another couple if days. I’d stay again but would book direct so I could ask to be in the new block. I’d drink in the bar but eat elsewhere.

The staff at this hotel couldn’t have been more friendly, we stayed here for 2 nights having visiting for Michael McIntyre show, for the price I paid there was everything you could want tea, coffee, ect, towels, the bed was very comfy I slept really well the staff went above and beyond for us the next morning we didn’t prebook breakfast but decided we would have it on the Saturday, being on a specific diet the staff couldn’t have done more for us to make sure we ate what we could, we will definitely be returning at a later date! Thankyou for a great stay

I booked this hotel due to the price and the good reviews (you dont often get both!) and I'm glad i did. I didnt expect plush, but we had a nice clean room, comfy beds, and a nice big tv. I couldnt ask for more for the price! Also the reception lady was very nice and friendly :-)

From the minute we entered the hotel and were greeted by a lovely friendly and chatty lady, our brief stay was fabulous. Great room, fabulous food both evening meal and breakfast, all staff attentive, friendly and genuine. Best bit? A proper key to the room, not some daft card that works only when it wants to. We'll be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I have never stayed in this hotel before and found on arrival numerous car parking spaces for ease of access to the main building. The staff were very sociable, professional and helpful. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space and ample tea/coffee supplies to ensure an enjoyable stay. Spacious bathroom with lashings of hot water and spotless. Special thanks to the cleaning staff who ensured my room was in perfect condition on my return after a long day out.

I have never stayed in this hotel before and found on arrival numerous car parking spaces for ease of access to the main building. The staff were very sociable, professional and helpful. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space and ample tea/coffee supplies to ensure an enjoyable stay. Spacious bathroom with lashings of hot water and spotless. Standard pub grub in the bar which was nice enough. Our chips were cold but we were given more immediately so no issues there. Room was basic but comfortable but the main issue was breakfast. There were only 5 or 6 tables in room so when a table became free had to grab it quickly. The lady on duty was on her own which meant tables took a while to be cleared, had to ask for clean cutlery and for coffee to be refilled. She was also covering reception and I wouldn’t be surprised if she was also cooking the food. It was tasty enough though. It wasn’t a terrible place to stay but it wasn’t the best. I’ve stayed at a few Greene King places and this was below average in my opinion.

She was also covering reception and I wouldn’t be surprised if she was also cooking the food. It was tasty enough though. It wasn’t a terrible place to stay but it wasn’t the best. I’ve stayed at a few Greene King places and this was below average in my opinion.

What can I say!! I keep on going back as it’s great, from check in to check out!! Staff on reception to staff in the bar to the cleaners!! They are all so friendly and helpful. Then there’s the room!! Just clean & comfortable. Be back again when I’m in the area!!

Stayed for one night to attend an event at Magna, the room for was clean and warm, we were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was due to its location on a main road and had a brilliant night's sleep. Would definitely recommend.

Satnav wasn't dead on and the hotel entrance is a little difficult to see but we did arrive and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was guiet, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was equally good. It a good location for us.

Comfortable room, nice hot bath and shower, lots of parking, good cooked breakfast. Hotel is easy to find and convenient. Happy friendly staff, really nice pint of beer too. And such great value. We'll be back!

The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Very cosy room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was delicious and really good value.

The room was clean and staff were excellent breakfast was good so was the food in the pub. We would use again if we were in the area again. That’s area outside was a little run down.

Standard pub grub in the bar which was nice enough. Our chips were cold but we were given more immediately so no issues there. Room was basic but comfortable but the main issue was breakfast. There were only 5 or 6 tables in room so when a table became free had to grab it quickly. The lady on duty was on her own which meant tables took a while to be cleared, had to ask for clean cutlery and for coffee to be refilled. The inn/pub was well attended with nice staff. Our only complaint was that there wasn't any salad option on the menu...not even the old caesar in a bag. As it was a work stay, one can only eat so many meat and chips.

We stayed for one night. Booked a family room in what we thought was a beautiful looking hotel. Instead, we were directed to a shabby looking annexe next door. Our room was clean, but so many issues. The bathroom door squeaked very loudly, needed painting, had no lock and the handle was falling off. It also had a horrible hospital smell. The toilet roll holder was useless as the roll just slid off the end. The sealant around the bath was very shoddy and the window frame rotten. No nice toiletries. Just a dispenser on the wall. The main bed was fine, but the second bed was 2 strange singles shoved together to make a double but with only single bedding. The bed was like a brick. Both sets of bedding had stains - old tea like stain and mildew. A family member was staying in another room in the annexe and had similar issues. Shower wouldn't work properly etc, so not just bad luck with this particular room. A bit stingy with the refreshments. 1 sachet of coffee, 2 sugars and 1 tea bag. Staff were averagely friendly. No warm welcome. Just a basic check in. We went for food in the bar area. Service was not particularly friendly and the food was below average pub food. Everything just seemed tired and run down, including the staff. Maybe if you get a room in the hotel it's a different experience, but based on our annexe experience, we wouldn't stay here again.
