The nearby character village of Chilmark sits on the Wiltshire side of the border with Dorset, two miles from the bustling small town of Tisbury, while Chilmark boasts numerous stone and thatched cottages, many made from local Chilmark stone. The Cart Barn is the perfect base from which to go and experience historical British landmarks such as Stonehenge and Longleat, with it providing a relaxing in which to enjoy a holiday break.Chilmark is one of many villages scattered across the Wiltshire countryside, with others such as Tisbury, hosting local shops about a mile away from The Cart Barn, while the Beckford Arms in Fonthill Gifford is half an hour walk or five minutes' drive. This area of South Wiltshire offers walking, riding and cycling in the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.
