Take a trip to Hesket New Market which is home to Britain's first community owned pub and microbewery. The stunning towns of Penrith and Keswick are both nearby. Penrith offers fantastic shops and buildings whereas Keswick is firmly in the Lake District National Park, it's surrounded by scenery and is certainly worth the visit.This charming village is conveniently situated just 5 miles from Penrith. Set just on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park,only 5 miles from Lake Ullswater and the numerous picturesque walks available make this a fabulous location for fans of the outdoors. Nearby, the popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the north of the Lake District and has plenty to offer, boasting numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes.
