About this property

3 Seaview Cottages is a welcoming former fisherman's cottage, perfectly set in pretty Normans Bay, Sussex. Being well-positioned just a short walk to a shop, pub, and beach, this friendly home welcomes family and friends seeking a coastal escape. Inside, the quaint living/dining room has seating for four with an electric woodburning stove to create an extra toasty and homely atmosphere on those chilly winter evenings. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven with grill and hob, so the designated chef can get to work. Worktops, cupboards, breakfast bar, stools, fridge/ freezer, and microwave are at your disposal. Door to bathroom and main door to rear garden. Stairs from the kitchen lead to two attractive bedrooms, both with blackout curtains ensuring everyone can catch their night's rest. The twin bedroom boasts views inland, while the king-size room offers uninterrupted sea views. Just take a little care when stepping onto the stairs from the twin bedroom. 3 Seaview Cottages is a lovely self-catering cottage that offers families and couples the perfect place to stay when looking for a coastal retreat with style and character. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1177320, together sleeping up to 8 guests. The village of Normans Bay, situated between Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea is so named as it was once believed to be the coastline where the Norman invasion took place in 1066, however this area would have been underwater at that time and only became coastal a few centuries ago! Normans Bay offers a pebble beach, which is a magnet for boat owners and fishermen, plus this part of the coastline is also great for windsurfers and kite-flying. Alternatively, sit on the sea wall and admire the views of the South Downs, a wonderful sight especially in the evening as the sun sets. The Star Inn, once a haven for smugglers, is a 10 minute walk away across the Pevensey Levels and offers excellent home cooked food, plus the village even has its own railway, linking the mainline stations along the coast, from where you can visit Eastbourne, Hastings, Brighton and even London. Also four miles west along the coast is the fishing port and yacht haven of Sovereign Harbour, where you can dine on the quayside at one of the many restaurants, cafes or the tapas bar. Inland from Sovereign Harbour is the Crumbles Retail Park with its shops, supermarket, cinema and gym. This part of Sussex is an ideal place to relax and unwind, drink in the sea air and listen to the waves roll in.
