Tulip Hotel

The bedding was clean, rooms much in need of a renovation but the staff were friendly and price was reasonable so no complaints

!!DO NOT STAY HERE!! there was mould all over the room, when alerting staff 2 men came downstairs into the room holding pillowcases. Then they proceeded to wipe the walls with them, telling me that it should be fine “we will spray the walls”. Also telling me that this room isn’t normally hired out as it has ‘problems’. The one man who was the receptionist told us that he was a ‘microbiologist’ he knows all about these things and that he didn’t see no issue. Both of these men then stood in the room, one of them talking about me on the phone to “The Boss” because I’d asked for another room or a refund. “The Boss” then came down into my room accused us of trespassing, got up in my face shouting at me and clicking his fingers, then deciding to do it to my partner. The boss wouldn’t allow us to grab all of our belongings before pushing us down the hall way and out of the hotel at 11pm, shouting more abuse and slamming the door behind us.

Staff were welcoming and helpful, but we were woken in the night by a confrontation in the night shouting and what seemed a fight on the landing this was very frightening to my wife, which we considering getting dressed and leaving, we wil never return
