Lovely hotel that perfectly balances a historic building with the need for modern conveniences including a huge outdoor pool! All the staff were welcoming & helpful, rooms & beds very comfortable. Nice quiet location that’s convenient for the airport if you’ve seen/had enough of Seville.

Lovely Parador at the very top of the hill. It used to be a Muslim castle. Check in was smooth and fast and the gentleman at reception was very helpful. Our room wasn’t too large, but very bright, clean, and with a gorgeous view! The Parador was all in moorish style, the dining room was beautiful, and the food was very good! There’s ample parking in their premises. Will recommend it for sure to anyone visiting this Andalucía area!

Dressé sur la seule colline de la plaine andalouse, l'hôtel offre une vaste vue sur son environnement. Le parking sur site est actuellement compliqué à cause des travaux dans la cours de l'établissement ce qui nécessite d'essayer de trouver une place dans les petites rues de la ville. Le dîner n'a pas pu être essayé mais c'est agréable de déguster un verre au lounge à proximité du patio dans ce lieu chargé d'histoire. Les chambres sont un peu petite avec une petite fenêtre avec un moucharabieh. Néanmoins, un plateau à café se trouve en chambre avec les commodités d'usage. Le personnel est serviable et la qualité ""Parador"" au rendez-vous. Le petit-déjeuner était à la hauteur des espérances avec des produits frais et locaux, le tout dans un cadre remarquable. À refaire sans hésitation !

Sehr schönes Hotel in einer ehemaligen Burg mit einem fantastischen Ausblick. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Leider fehlt ein Spa. Im Sommer lockt ein Pool in einem gepflegten Garten.

Beautiful property with an interesting history. The breakfast buffet is definitely worth it. The pool area was nice, would have been great if they had a jacuzzi also. Rooms were nice and dark. The only reason I am not giving this a higher review is because online the photos of the standard rooms appear to have a balcony or at least a large window. The first room we were given had a shoebox-sized window. We went back to the front and had to upgrade to a superior room for $30 more a night in order to get a non-dungeon-like room with a balcony. Just be aware when booking.

This is a stunning hotel. 5 stars in all areas. It is part of the Parador chain which is similar to the National Trust in England. The building itself is historic and features unique spaces for resting, having a drink or eating. The rooms are tastefully decorated and include tea making facilities and a mini bar. The air conditioning works perfectly. The pool is situated in the lower part of the estate. It is adjacent to a bar area that serves drinks, and there is friendly pool guard who is around all day. Parking is very close to the property and is free of charge. The views from all the rooms are breathtaking. What a memorable stay!

Das Personal war freundlich, die Zimmer vor längerer Zeit renoviert, keine Wasserflasche auf dem Zimmer. Frühmorgens um 6:15Uhr Lärm auf dem Gang vom Wäscherei-Personal, im Zimmer ein Wiederkehrendes lautes Geräusch, auf meinen Complaint kaum Reaktion.

The hotel is beautiful, but I was disappointed. The mattress and the pillows were very hard, not a good sleep. The breakfast buffet at $25 per person, was not up to the price. Limited selection, would have expected more from this hotel. Service? You can tell that they were short staffed. In the dining area only a few service members and tables that were not cleaned because they could not get to it. Service in the bar area was much the same. They did not serve and you had to wait in line to purchase a night cap. Very disappointed, I was expecting so much more. Also, we stayed at the Parador de Ronda, and compared what we got as bathroom toiletries, Ronda wins hands down. Missing in Carmona, bathrobes, slippers, bath sponge, sewing kit, qtips, etc.

There was building work on the floor above us and also outside the front area. It would have been nice if they had informed us of this prior to our visit. The noise above us was terrible with constant banging and drilling and went on until 7pm in the evening. The communal areas were too full and busy

We enjoyed our stay very much. The view from our lovely and spacious room was absolutely breathtaking. The pool was great but make sure you don't forget anything in your room ~ it's a long climb up & down from the Parador. Loved the breakfast bar - delicious sausage, cheese, trout lox, prosecco and much more. The walk to town is not far or difficult - it also allows you to see the culture and the sidewalk cafes are very authentic and good. I would highly recommend staying here!!

I did like the location. I did not like the service at the bar/restaurant. They wouldn’t serve us food at 7:15 pm. They made us come back at 8:00 pm because the cook was on his break. We complained at the front desk but it did not help.
I did like the location. I did not like the service at the bar/restaurant. They wouldn’t serve us food at 7:15 pm. They made us come back at 8:00 pm because the cook was on his break. We complained at the front desk but it did not help.

the hotel seems to have a problem with staffing. For example the bar had only one person assigned to serve over 50 patrons in the cocktail hour before dinner. While they tried their best it was not realistic to expect proper service. Similarly the dinner service seemed to have the same problem. We had been at this parador in the past and service was impeccable. a disappointment this time.

It was a pleasant stay. The staff could be more attentive. The bar was not well staffed and you had to make sure to get somebody's attention to get a drink. Nobody asked to help with the luggage although we were 2 women traveling alone.

Great setting, spectacular views (especially from our balcony). A real experience to stay in such a property, with interesting common areas and period bedrooms. Service was efficient and pleasant. On-site parking was a real plus compared with other properties we stayed in in Andalucia. We enjoyed our stay very much. The view from our lovely and spacious room was absolutely breathtaking. The pool was great but make sure you don't forget anything in your room ~ it's a long climb up & down from the Parador. Loved the breakfast bar - delicious sausage, cheese, trout lox, prosecco and much more. The walk to town is not far or difficult - it also allows you to see the culture and the sidewalk cafes are very authentic and good. I would highly recommend staying here!!

The hotel is beautiful, but I was disappointed. The mattress and the pillows were very hard, not a good sleep. The breakfast buffet at $25 per person, was not up to the price. Limited selection, would have expected more from this hotel. Service? You can tell that they were short staffed. In the dining area only a few service members and tables that were not cleaned because they could not get to it. Service in the bar area was much the same. They did not serve and you had to wait in line to purchase a night cap. Very disappointed, I was expecting so much more. Also, we stayed at the Parador de Ronda, and compared what we got as bathroom toiletries, Ronda wins hands down. Missing in Carmona, bathrobes, slippers, bath sponge, sewing kit, qtips, etc.

Zeer bijzondere accommodatie in dit kasteel. Heerlijke kamer, groot met balkon met prachtig uitzicht. Feestje om hier rond te lopen, maar ontbijt en bediening was onder de maat. Komen veel groepen die alles leegroven en er dus rond 9.30 uur soms niet veel meer is. Wordt ook niet aangevuld ondanks ontbijt tot 11 uur. Wel goed aanbod, maar oud brood wat je alleen kan roosteren. Bediening kijkt nergens naar en is onvriendelijk. Doet helaas afbreuk aan de beleving. Maar goed, het blijft echt schitterend. Let op het ligt hoog, dus wat kouder hier.

A lovely hotel with lots of positives. Nice sized rooms, clean and comfortable with very good amenities. The breakfast was ok without being great. A good choice of options. The pool was amazing and pool areas excellent and clean. Getting to the pool involved a lot of steps though. The public areas are impressive though the main courtyard was closed for repairs when we stayed which was disappointing. The balcony for early evening drinks is a must with breathtaking views. Overall this was an excellent choice for a few days stay and a base to discover some wonderful towns and cities like Ecija, Cordoba and Seville.

This Parador is in a lovely location and is a wonderful historic building. Views from our room and from the terrace were beautiful. However, the place is rather let down by very indifferent staff. The lady on reception when we arrived was fine, but when we checked out, the guy on reception didn’t ask us if we’d had a nice stay, or even say goodbye! And the waiter on the terrace was extremely surly and ignored us for ages (seemingly choosing to serve all the Spanish people first, until I more or less stood in his way to give him our order!) Breakfast staff also quite grumpy and although breakfast allegedly continued until 11 and we were there at 9.30, lots of things had run out and were not being replenished (such as orange juice).
