Unsere Reservierung im Hotel Neptun wurde leider überbucht. Erst beim Einchecken erfuhren wir, dass wir stattdessen in das Hotel Slovenija umgebucht worden waren. Das Hotel Slovenija ist ein modernes 5-Sterne-Hotel. Ich gehe davon aus, dass die Zimmer erst vor nicht allzu langer Zeit modernisiert wurden. Allerdings wurde dabei offenbar auf einige wichtige Details nicht geachtet. So gibt es weder im Badezimmer noch im WC geeignete Aufhängemöglichkeiten für Handtücher. Für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel ist das aus meiner Sicht ein deutliches Manko. Auch das Zimmer selbst war für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel überraschend klein. Besonders enttäuschend war jedoch das Frühstückspersonal. Das Personal wirkte ungewöhnlich distanziert und unfreundlich. Es gab keine Begrüßung und auch keine freundliche oder aufmerksame Bedienung. Insgesamt machte der Service beim Frühstück auf uns einen sehr unprofessionellen Eindruck. Das moderne Ambiente des Hotels ist sicherlich positiv, aber bei einem 5-Sterne-Hotel erwartet man gerade beim Komfort und beim Service deutlich mehr.

This hotel is extremely dated, poorly maintained, and appears to be well past its prime. There is an unpleasant smell throughout many areas of the property, and the overall condition feels worn and neglected. The layout is confusing, with multiple wings and sections that make it unnecessarily difficult to navigate. The key card system is also cumbersome and creates unnecessary inconvenience. The price is far too high for the standard of accommodation, facilities, and service provided. The breakfast was particularly disappointing; the selection was poor, the quality was below expectations, and the overall experience fell far short of what one would expect from a hotel at this price point. Bewertung: ★★★☆☆ (3 von 5 Sternen) Das Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt, das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam – da merkt man, die geben sich Mühe. Die Lage ist top, zentral und trotzdem ruhig, also wirklich praktisch. Abzüge gibt’s fürs Bett (schon ein bissl vom Zahn der Zeit angenagt) und fürs Frühstück – essbar, aber nix, woran man sich später noch erinnert. Immerhin sind wir weder verhungert noch mit einem krummen Kreuz abgereist. Insgesamt: solide, aber a bissl frischer Wind würd dem Haus gut tun.
