Just off this stylish main street, however, are a number of endearing little alleyways known locally as 'ginnels', which provide the village with a very charming atmosphere. Most famous for its Morris dancers, June Wakes festivities and its annual Shrove Tuesday pancake race, this is a fascinating place to visit to enjoy a number of past traditions. There is a well-stocked grocers within the village as well as a post office and gift shop and two good pubs which serve food and local beers.
