A large detached cottage ideal for family holidays, situated just a few minutes' walk from the beaches at Hope Cove, village pub and shop. Easy access to the South West Coast Path provides beautiful walks to Salcombe, Thurlestone and other coastal villages. Golf nearby at Thurlestone and Bigbury. Entrance porch. Sitting space is divided into two areas; a quiet area for reading with comfy chair, rocking chair and large cushions, whilst two sofas provide comfortable seating for watching the television, DVD player, video, Sky satellite system and CD/stereo. Large wall cabinet well stocked with books. Spacious kitchen/dining room has a large oak dining table with eight wicker chairs. The modern kitchen features a central breakfast bar with two stools and cupboard storage, ceramic hob, electric fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge and freezer. For al fresco dining, there is a large garden with lawn, patio and garden furniture.The picturesque fishing village of Hope Cove lies in a sheltered bay on South Devon's coastline, offering superb views over Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. A choice destination for families, two beaches offer soft sand for sandcastle building, plus rock pools great for entertaining children. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants, including the popular café bar 'The Cove'. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards the sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction, and the sailing town of Salcombe in the other.
