This is an amazing hotel. I would give it 12 out of 10 stars. If I could, the staff was beyond amazing they knew about my allergy before I even opened my mouth to say anything. Our servers were excellent. The food was excellent. The breakfast was excellent. The surrounding area is lovely and won’t get airport noise, even though you are a two minute drive from the airport. There is a heated pool and a lovely bar by the pool. The only thing that we have to say that was negative is we wish we could’ve stayed way longer.😃

Wonderful staff who can't do enough for their guests. The seawater pool is the main attraction (though the actual sea is about 1°C warmer for some reason). The food is excellent especially the scallops linguine. Very quiet despite being next door to the airport. Would stay again.

Absolutely loved this place. Staff incredible, property secluded and private. The ocean saltwater pool is so cool and unique. Beautiful views, we will definitely be back one day.

The pool overlooking the water is just gorgeous; it became one of my favourite places to unwind and soak in the scenery. What really set this place apart, though, was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating in a way that felt completely authentic. It never felt forced — just true hospitality. The food was another highlight. Every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of fresh flavours. It was a treat every time we sat down to eat. Very friendly, well run family owned hotel. Spacious rooms and wonderful pools. Don’t be put off by the fact it is under the airport. The noise does not seem to reach the hotel. Short walk into the nearest town which is mainly along the promenade after a short walk next to a motorway. We did this on average once a day.

Tout à été parfait:)… Le personnel a été aux petits soins avec nous, la nourriture était excellente et variée, la piscine dans la mer est tellement … unique :)… Le site est ultra propre et situé à 2 minutes de l’aéroport … Que demander de plus?

We had the most wonderful stay. Every member of the team here is truly exceptional at what they do — we were blown away by the warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. With only 20 rooms, the hotel offers a much more personal and intimate experience, which made our stay feel even more special. The amenities are fantastic — we especially loved the natural pool and the tennis courts. This was a gem of a find. The facilities are slightly dated but the upkeep and condition is excellent. All of the staff that we encountered were superb. We felt that the selection that we had at the restaurant were very good and a good value. We'd recommend this hotel to our family and friends -- we would like to do a return visit ourselves!

Wir haben ein Zimmer mit Balkon und nicht Veranda gebucht. Leider haben wir trotz Nachfrage nur im Erdgeschoss ein Zimmer erhalten. Ansonsten war es gut. Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut. Beim Abendessen war der Service sehr gut, dass essen war jedoch nicht top. Hatte nach dem Fischgericht Bauchschmerzen.

It was a one day solo trip because the hotel was near the airport and offered a free shuttle when I got there. I was totally surprised by the service from the front desk. The wait staff and everybody there with a pleasant surprise Fabrício and Bernardo are especially helpful to me along with, Anna and Sarah what a wonderful stay there made

Amazing stay in Albatroz! The place is a paradise must when visiting in Madeira. The amazing pool by the ocean, the scenery views and the facilities makes it all worth. Diogo and the team were service-minded, professional and always with a smile on their faces. We were welcome som gold members and they even offered a very nice late check out. We appreciate their extra touch on our stay. We will surely come back!

The staff went above and beyond to help us. We arrived at 1am and they made sandwiches fruit and yogurt and brought them to our room because we mentioned we were hungry. That was one of a dozen little things the did for us.

The location was spectacular and perfect for our last days on the island, as it was extremely easy to get to the airport. The receptionists were polite, friendly and helpful. The pool by the sea was instagram gold. We'll not forget it. I'll gladly return if I get the chance

Love the stay at this hotel , the only thing we didn’t like was the breakfast it was cold and didn’t have much options, other than that it was a great place with friendly staff.
