This is an incredible place to stay in Bora Bora. The property manager goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The house provides everything - AC in both bedrooms, full kitchen, utensils, and dishware, as well as a large TV and gear for snorkeling / floating in the water. Unlike the water bungalows, you will have a shaded backyard complete with chairs and hammocks to lounge on and enjoy the view, plus a sandy shore to walk along just below. The water is clear and leads to two large coral reefs nearby; you and your family can snorkel safely away from boats and see a decent number of fish. The view of the sunrise is breathtaking, but no sunset - you will need to take a quick walk to Matira beach to see this. It’s a convenient location overall, close to Lucky House restaurant (highly recommend), beaches, docks for excursions, and two grocery stores within a 15 minute walk. Would recommend to anyone considering a beautiful, relaxing vacation in Bora Bora.

We had the best time at this beach house in Bora Bora! The place is beautiful, super clean, and right on a private beach. Waking up to ocean views every day was unreal. The house had everything we needed and felt really cozy. The host was super friendly and respond you right away. It honestly felt like our own little piece of paradise. Would 100% stay here again

Matira Beach on Bora Bora is one of the most Beautiful white sand beaches with warm turquoise water on the planet! This cottage is very spacious and in excellent upgraded condition. Views of gorgeous sunrises were a wonderful way to start each day! The Intercontinental Resort is right next door providing excellent cuisine when we were not in the mood to cook! This location also gave us a close look at Tahitian family life and island activities. We found all the locals to be friendly, gracious and very well mannered! Would suggest adding beach chairs and more beach towels. Otherwise, furnishings and kitchen supplies were well stocked. We rented a car and this is good to have to explore this dreamy paradise!

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. Both the owners and the property manager, Luana, were exceptionally welcoming, gracious and accommodating. We did not rent a car during our four-day stay, so appreciated the ability to walk to a handful of dining options nearby and also have the small market so conveniently close. Our tweens loved playing on the beach in front of the house, and exploring with the house's kayaks. Would love to have stayed much longer, and wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking to unwind or explore the Matira Beach end of Bora Bora.

We really enjoyed the house and the convenient location. We were able to walk to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. We enjoyed the yard, the hammock and the kayaks. It was great to have the coral garden so close for snorkeling. Louana was so nice and gave us her WhatsApp to contact her with any questions during our stay. I would definitely stay here again! I miss it already!

Everything about this house was outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the beach-front location, the sizable backyard — the hammock under palm trees is a great touch — the proximity to nice restaurants, shopping and pick-up spots for many excursions. The house was spacious, well-stocked with silverware, coffee and tea pots, swimming/snorkeling equipment, washer/dryer, A/C in both bedrooms, nice showers, and so much more. This house also was within a 1-minute walk to Intercontinental Bora Bora, where we were able to enjoy a Polynesian Cultural Show and an exquisite buffet dinner, as well as happy hour drinks and the sunset. Oh, and spectacular Matira Beach was a short drive/walk, to boot. Overall, this is a great house for any family or two couples when visiting Bora Bora. We can’t wait to stay here again.

We loved the house and the location! We contacted the host on Vrbo - Louana-T, and she made arrangements for the taxi to come pick us up at the water taxi and also for when we left. In case you don't know, the airport location is not connected to the island. There is a water taxi that will take you from the airport to the island. There is an Avis rental car agency at the dock where you can pick up your vehicle, if you rent one. There is another Avis within walking distance from the house. There are 2 double kayaks at the house and lots of snorkel gear. We kayaked across the bay to the coral garden and did some snorkeling. Another day, we just put our snorkel gear on, and swam from the beach in front of the house to the nearby reefs. There are several within 2 minutes swim. The house had all the kitchen gadgets in case we wanted to cook but we used only the coffee pot. We had lunch and dinner at a couple of restaurants nearby. One of them is the Beach Club Restaurant which is right on the beach. Also, the Intercontinental is next door and you can eat there as well. Matira Beach is about 2 minutes walking distance. The entrance to the beach is right across from the entry to the Intercontinental. Matira Beach is the most beautiful beach in Bora Bora. It is a public beach. The water is very calm and warmer than in other places. We watched the sunrise from the house and the Sunset from Matira Beach. Absolutely beautiful!

Matira beach is exceedingly beautiful. The beach house is located a stone's throw from intercontinental hotel which gave us a wonderful option for dining. Most meals we fixed at the house which has every cooking gadget available. We did need to wash dishes and cooking utensils before using. Bedrooms, bathrooms, countertops all clean. The pictures online represent a good view of the enclosed yard above the beach. However, what's not in view are the multiple boats at the beach so it was difficult to easily enjoy in the water in front of the house. The great news is that a public beach is just as you enter the intercontinental and it is clean with restrooms and absolutely gorgeous water.Homeowner is wonderfully responsive as well as Louann who met us at the beach house when we arrived, gave us a great tour and was very helpful. We will be back, hopefully!

First and foremost, the property owner was incredible. They had everything arranged for our transportation to/from Viatape with only a few brief emails. We were greeted by an extremely taxi driver and our name was on a sign, so no possibility of missing the driver. As she drove us to our house you repeatedly pointed out locations of interest, including: cultural locations, places to eat, shop, best places to park to approach Matira Beach, best places to go for sunsets and did so on the most pleasant manner. Upon arrival at our beach house we were greeted by Louana who was absolutely lovely and indispensable. She too, pointed out many locations and provided excellent tips. We only needed to contact her once and she was prompt and fixed our problem no time! The property was quite possible the most ideal location. You are within walking distance of the local Magasin or convenience store/grocery that has an abundance of local foods, water, soft drinks etc. That is located to the right of the entrance to the property and if you walk a bit further past the Magasin you come upon AVIS (we rented an E-Moke) and then Le Plage where you can rent a boat with or without a license. If you walk left from the entrance to the property you’ll soon find yourself at the only local beach on Bora Bora, Matira Beach. Words cannot describe the beauty of this beach. The sunrise at the house is amazing, house is wonderful and on a private beach. Clean, well kept house/yard. Kayak was great!! Amazing!

The house and the location were absolutely amazing. The house was exactly as described. The living area and kitchen were clean and had an amazing breeze from the ocean and both bedrooms were airconditioned. We were walking distance to everything that we needed, restaurants, markets and bars. This is the perfect stay for anyone looking to visit Bora Bora.

This home is absolutely stunning—right on the water with breathtaking views that made every moment special. We had a wonderful week at this perfect location. It was our second stay at this home. They upgraded the kitchen and a few other things since our last stay in 2016. Communication with Louana through the WhatsApp was fast and easy. Our flights were delayed and our phones weren’t working when we landed but Louana stayed and waited for us to arrive and let us in. The bed in the master bedroom is very firm and might not be comfortable for everyone. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks again!

We stayed here for two weeks in July for my 50th birthday. Everything about this place is perfect. We actually preferred the beach in the backyard to Matira. Although Matira is just as gorgeous. We felt like we had it all to ourselves because the neighbors always kept the no trespassing sign up. We even had a manta ray visitor in the backyard beach one day. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and very well maintained. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. But my most favorite part was meeting Louana. She really went out of her way to make not only our trip, but my birthday special. She always made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. And it felt genuine. That woman deserves a raise and I will never forget her. Book this house NOW.

We returned to Bora Bora 15 years after our honeymoon here. We did the resort stay then but opted for VRBO with our two boys this time. We absolutely loved it. The backyard is right on the beach. We swam in the ocean multiple times daily. We booked all the same excursions that we did before. We were walking distance from a cute little market and enjoyed our fresh baguettes daily. We were also walking distance from an Avis where we rented mopeds for a day and explored the entire island. Highly recommend. Louanna, the house manager, was excellent. She recommended excursions and helped with translation when needed. There are little ants but not an issue if you stay on top of dishes after every meal. No different than Hawaii. We will definitely be back!

Matira Beach on Bora Bora is one of the most Beautiful white sand beaches with warm turquoise water on the planet! This cottage is very spacious and in excellent upgraded condition. Views of gorgeous sunrises were a wonderful way to start each day! The Intercontinental Resort is right next door providing excellent cuisine when we were not in the mood to cook! This location also gave us a close look at Tahitian family life and island activities. We found all the locals to be friendly, gracious and very well mannered! Would suggest adding beach chairs and more beach towels. Otherwise, furnishings and kitchen supplies were well stocked. We rented a car and this is good to have to explore this dreamy paradise!

We had a really lovely, relaxing stay here, spending most of our time in the hammock and patio. The location was even better than I expected given that we didn't want to rent a car but suffered no inconvenience. The house is a three minute walk to an excellent grocery store with friendly employees tolerant of my terrible french (chocolate croissants and rotisserie chicken were great), Lucky House restaurant (excellent pizza and reasonable prices), and a little local owned food cart where I bought smoothies, espresso and lunch or dinner each day (samosas and poisson cru highly recommended). The beach in front of the house was a good launch point for snorkeling at the Le Moana OWB next door, which have planted coral gardens underneath to attract fish. I believe the house is on the 'breezy' side of Matira point, which is nice because the heat could be stifling. AC inside the bedrooms was critical. The wind created choppy conditions for swimming and kayaking during our stay, so when we wanted calm flat seas we just walked across the street to Matira beach where there was no wind whatsoever. We also got dinner and saw the Polynesian show next door at the Le Moana which was very convenient. If the seas permit, do take the kayaks to the coral gardens, they are extraordinary-we saw them on a snorkel tour later in our trip and realized what we had missed. Louana was very helpful and responsive, we had two issues come up during our stay and they were both resolved quickly.

Everything about this house was outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the beach-front location, the sizable backyard — the hammock under palm trees is a great touch — the proximity to nice restaurants, shopping and pick-up spots for many excursions. The house was spacious, well-stocked with silverware, coffee and tea pots, swimming/snorkeling equipment, washer/dryer, A/C in both bedrooms, nice showers, and so much more. This house also was within a 1-minute walk to Intercontinental Bora Bora, where we were able to enjoy a Polynesian Cultural Show and an exquisite buffet dinner, as well as happy hour drinks and the sunset. Oh, and spectacular Matira Beach was a short drive/walk, to boot. Overall, this is a great house for any family or two couples when visiting Bora Bora. We can’t wait to stay here again.

The house and the location were absolutely amazing. The house was exactly as described. The living area and kitchen were clean and had an amazing breeze from the ocean and both bedrooms were airconditioned. We were walking distance to everything that we needed, restaurants, markets and bars. This is the perfect stay for anyone looking to visit Bora Bora.

We loved the house and the location! We contacted the host on Vrbo - Louana-T, and she made arrangements for the taxi to come pick us up at the water taxi and also for when we left. In case you don't know, the airport location is not connected to the island. There is a water taxi that will take you from the airport to the island. There is an Avis rental car agency at the dock where you can pick up your vehicle, if you rent one. There is another Avis within walking distance from the house. There are 2 double kayaks at the house and lots of snorkel gear. We kayaked across the bay to the coral garden and did some snorkeling. Another day, we just put our snorkel gear on, and swam from the beach in front of the house to the nearby reefs. There are several within 2 minutes swim. The house had all the kitchen gadgets in case we wanted to cook but we used only the coffee pot. We had lunch and dinner at a couple of restaurants nearby. One of them is the Beach Club Restaurant which is right on the beach. Also, the Intercontinental is next door and you can eat there as well. Matira Beach is about 2 minutes walking distance. The entrance to the beach is right across from the entry to the Intercontinental. Matira Beach is the most beautiful beach in Bora Bora. It is a public beach. The water is very calm and warmer than in other places. We watched the sunrise from the house and the Sunset from Matira Beach. Absolutely beautiful!

We had a wonderful week at this perfect location. It was our second stay at this home. They upgraded the kitchen and a few other things since our last stay in 2016. Communication with Louana through the WhatsApp was fast and easy. Our flights were delayed and our phones weren’t working when we landed but Louana stayed and waited for us to arrive and let us in. The bed in the master bedroom is very firm and might not be comfortable for everyone. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks again!

Matira beach is exceedingly beautiful. The beach house is located a stone's throw from intercontinental hotel which gave us a wonderful option for dining. Most meals we fixed at the house which has every cooking gadget available. We did need to wash dishes and cooking utensils before using. Bedrooms, bathrooms, countertops all clean. The pictures online represent a good view of the enclosed yard above the beach. However, what's not in view are the multiple boats at the beach so it was difficult to easily enjoy in the water in front of the house. The great news is that a public beach is just as you enter the intercontinental and it is clean with restrooms and absolutely gorgeous water.Homeowner is wonderfully responsive as well as Louann who met us at the beach house when we arrived, gave us a great tour and was very helpful. We will be back, hopefully!

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. Both the owners and the property manager, Luana, were exceptionally welcoming, gracious and accommodating. We did not rent a car during our four-day stay, so appreciated the ability to walk to a handful of dining options nearby and also have the small market so conveniently close. Our tweens loved playing on the beach in front of the house, and exploring with the house's kayaks. Would love to have stayed much longer, and wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking to unwind or explore the Matira Beach end of Bora Bora.

She is so kind and responds almost immediately to any text you might send. The house is lovely. The beach is exquisite. The neighbors are friendly and always wave if they see you walking in the drive. This property is a very good value! This was our second stay and we will definitely stay again next visit.

Our family of 4 (two adults, two kids age 9&13) have thoroughly enjoyed our 8-night stay. The property manager was so helpful, answering our questions, arranging taxi etc through WhatsApp even some of the questions are about local food/condiments. She even came over right after I had some user error on the oven to help me fix it. We were definitely taken care of! The location next to InterContinental Le Moana makes it so easy for us to snorkel under its OBW. The corals they plant there is the best among all the resorts in Bora Bora. On top of that we encountered few times with eagle rays, and a sting ray. The deeper area next to IC Le Moana has lots of natural corals and fishes, need a little bit more swim skill, but durable; not mentioning the Aquarium15-minute kayak away. The whole south tip is the best beach area among all and the beach/sand are real from natural formation, instead of manmade beaches in the other resort areas. We also enjoyed having sandwich, burger, pizza, Poisson Cru at Snack Otoamana (cash), Restaurant Moihere (cash), Lucky House, Magasin Matira (2-min walk), & Tiare Market (10-mins walk, but much better carpaccio options on pastries, fresh milk, raw fishes/beef etc.). We also booked buffet on cultural nights to enjoy the abundant food and dance show at LC Le Moana. We enjoyed tours by Bora Bora Explorer w/discount offered through the rental. Parasailing right off the IC dock, private dive with Hiro. Such a wonderful vacation!

We stayed here for two weeks in July for my 50th birthday. Everything about this place is perfect. We actually preferred the beach in the backyard to Matira. Although Matira is just as gorgeous. We felt like we had it all to ourselves because the neighbors always kept the no trespassing sign up. We even had a manta ray visitor in the backyard beach one day. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and very well maintained. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. But my most favorite part was meeting Louana. She really went out of her way to make not only our trip, but my birthday special. She always made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. And it felt genuine. That woman deserves a raise and I will never forget her. Book this house NOW.

We have always stayed in resorts when taking tropical holidays but thought we would experience a beach house this time around in Bora Bora . Very glad we did . The house is charming and located right on the beach . Being keen swimmers , we were able to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the lagoon through out the day . Walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores . It was also very convenient to be picked up for lagoon tours directly outside our house . We had a ball !

We really enjoyed the house and the convenient location. We were able to walk to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. We enjoyed the yard, the hammock and the kayaks. It was great to have the coral garden so close for snorkeling. Louana was so nice and gave us her WhatsApp to contact her with any questions during our stay. I would definitely stay here again! I miss it already!

The house was spacious, well-stocked with silverware, coffee and tea pots, swimming/snorkeling equipment, washer/dryer, A/C in both bedrooms, nice showers, and so much more. This house also was within a 1-minute walk to Intercontinental Bora Bora, where we were able to enjoy a Polynesian Cultural Show and an exquisite buffet dinner, as well as happy hour drinks and the sunset. Oh, and spectacular Matira Beach was a short drive/walk, to boot. Overall, this is a great house for any family or two couples when visiting Bora Bora. We can’t wait to stay here again.

The house and the location were absolutely amazing. The house was exactly as described. The living area and kitchen were clean and had an amazing breeze from the ocean and both bedrooms were airconditioned. We were walking distance to everything that we needed, restaurants, markets and bars. This is the perfect stay for anyone looking to visit Bora Bora.

We loved the house and the location! We contacted the host on Vrbo - Louana-T, and she made arrangements for the taxi to come pick us up at the water taxi and also for when we left. In case you don't know, the airport location is not connected to the island. There is a water taxi that will take you from the airport to the island. There is an Avis rental car agency at the dock where you can pick up your vehicle, if you rent one. There is another Avis within walking distance from the house. There are 2 double kayaks at the house and lots of snorkel gear. We kayaked across the bay to the coral garden and did some snorkeling. Another day, we just put our snorkel gear on, and swam from the beach in front of the house to the nearby reefs. There are several within 2 minutes swim. The house had all the kitchen gadgets in case we wanted to cook but we used only the coffee pot. We had lunch and dinner at a couple of restaurants nearby. One of them is the Beach Club Restaurant which is right on the beach. Also, the Intercontinental is next door and you can eat there as well. Matira Beach is about 2 minutes walking distance. The entrance to the beach is right across from the entry to the Intercontinental. Matira Beach is the most beautiful beach in Bora Bora. It is a public beach. The water is very calm and warmer than in other places. We watched the sunrise from the house and the Sunset from Matira Beach. Absolutely beautiful!

It is everything you want in a vacation home and more. I read it in other reviews, but I didn’t realize how amazing the location was until we got there. Being right next to the IC Le Moana is so helpful for pick ups and you have direct access to the beach, and the famous coral gardens/aquarium (large reef system great for snorkeling) is just a 15-20 minute kayak directly in front of the home. Grocery stores, several restaurants, and the AVIS rental are within walking distance. Truly an exceptional property. Already looking to stay here again!

Matira Beach on Bora Bora is one of the most Beautiful white sand beaches with warm turquoise water on the planet! This cottage is very spacious and in excellent upgraded condition. Views of gorgeous sunrises were a wonderful way to start each day! The Intercontinental Resort is right next door providing excellent cuisine when we were not in the mood to cook! This location also gave us a close look at Tahitian family life and island activities. We found all the locals to be friendly, gracious and very well mannered! Would suggest adding beach chairs and more beach towels. Otherwise, furnishings and kitchen supplies were well stocked. We rented a car and this is good to have to explore this dreamy paradise!

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. Both the owners and the property manager, Luana, were exceptionally welcoming, gracious and accommodating. We did not rent a car during our four-day stay, so appreciated the ability to walk to a handful of dining options nearby and also have the small market so conveniently close. Our tweens loved playing on the beach in front of the house, and exploring with the house's kayaks. Would love to have stayed much longer, and wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking to unwind or explore the Matira Beach end of Bora Bora.

It was a great stay at a beautiful beach house in an excellent location. The house is as advertised. The kitchen has everything you would want. The Intercontinental is right next door. The daily happy house was great.

We had a really lovely, relaxing stay here, spending most of our time in the hammock and patio. The location was even better than I expected given that we didn't want to rent a car but suffered no inconvenience. The house is a three minute walk to an excellent grocery store with friendly employees tolerant of my terrible french (chocolate croissants and rotisserie chicken were great), Lucky House restaurant (excellent pizza and reasonable prices), and a little local owned food cart where I bought smoothies, espresso and lunch or dinner each day (samosas and poisson cru highly recommended). The beach in front of the house was a good launch point for snorkeling at the Le Moana OWB next door, which have planted coral gardens underneath to attract fish. I believe the house is on the 'breezy' side of Matira point, which is nice because the heat could be stifling. AC inside the bedrooms was critical. The wind created choppy conditions for swimming and kayaking during our stay, so when we wanted calm flat seas we just walked across the street to Matira beach where there was no wind whatsoever. We also got dinner and saw the Polynesian show next door at the Le Moana which was very convenient. If the seas permit, do take the kayaks to the coral gardens, they are extraordinary-we saw them on a snorkel tour later in our trip and realized what we had missed. Louana was very helpful and responsive, we had two issues come up during our stay and they were both resolved quickly.

Our family of 4 (two adults, two kids age 9&13) have thoroughly enjoyed our 8-night stay. The property manager was so helpful, answering our questions, arranging taxi etc through WhatsApp even some of the questions are about local food/condiments. She even came over right after I had some user error on the oven to help me fix it. We were definitely taken care of! The location next to InterContinental Le Moana makes it so easy for us to snorkel under its OBW. The corals they plant there is the best among all the resorts in Bora Bora. On top of that we encountered few times with eagle rays, and a sting ray. The deeper area next to IC Le Moana has lots of natural corals and fishes, need a little bit more swim skill, but durable; not mentioning the Aquarium15-minute kayak away. The whole south tip is the best beach area among all and the beach/sand are real from natural formation, instead of manmade beaches in the other resort areas. We also enjoyed having sandwich, burger, pizza, Poisson Cru at Snack Otoamana (cash), Restaurant Moihere (cash), Lucky House, Magasin Matira (2-min walk), & Tiare Market (10-mins walk, but much better carpaccio options on pastries, fresh milk, raw fishes/beef etc.). We also booked buffet on cultural nights to enjoy the abundant food and dance show at LC Le Moana. We enjoyed tours by Bora Bora Explorer w/discount offered through the rental. Parasailing right off the IC dock, private dive with Hiro. Such a wonderful vacation!

This house was perfect! The location was excellent. It was breezy and quiet and a 2 minute walk to the opposite side of Matira Beach where it was busy and more of a party atmosphere. So at this house you get the best of both worlds. It was close to restaurants and an excellent convenience store, which had excellent pastries every morning. The house itself was spacious and each bedroom had a strong AC that made sleeping perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need. The Property Manager, Louana was absolutely exceptional. She helped every time we had a question. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, don't need a car as restaurants, grocery stores are in walking distance. Host is very very good. Really nice to have a clothes washer and dryer. We used the 2-person kayaks alot. While the kitchen is updated & modern, there is not a dishwasher.

We stayed here for two weeks in July for my 50th birthday. Everything about this place is perfect. We actually preferred the beach in the backyard to Matira. Although Matira is just as gorgeous. We felt like we had it all to ourselves because the neighbors always kept the no trespassing sign up. We even had a manta ray visitor in the backyard beach one day. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and very well maintained. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. But my most favorite part was meeting Louana. She really went out of her way to make not only our trip, but my birthday special. She always made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. And it felt genuine. That woman deserves a raise and I will never forget her. Book this house NOW.
