Pleasant stay. Great location. The interior of the hotel was too warm. Breakfast area was 79 degrees. Other than that it was fine. Convenient, free on-site parking. Convenient for visiting UNH.

Good value for the price. Staff was attentive and helpful. Room was very clean. Easy checkin and checkout. If you stay, make sure you ask about available parking. Its more limited than most of my hotel experiences. But they make it work. Over-all good experience and would stay there again.

The place was dirtier than most Holiday Inn Express hotels that we’ve stayed at. Ripped curtains, stained chairs and pillow cases, cracked signage. There was no front desk receptionist when we came in so we had to wait a while to be checked in. The restaurant recommendations were outdated. We wish there was a pool. We didn’t love that it shared a parking lot with an apartment complex. We also don’t like bathrooms where the mirror is separated from the toilet and shower.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! The breakfast food was cold , Coffee terrible! Check in was not friendly or helpful There was NO Parking anywhere in the lot, finally after driving around for 10 minutes a spaced opened up, we took it. Only to find out the next morning, that it wasn’t a space that hotel patrons can use? It was in the same lot, it was dark and not well lit. Apparently it was not a parking space for hotel patrons? Our car got towed!!! It cost $ 200 to get our car back!! The hotel was no help at all and did not apologize or care!! We are very disgusted and will never stay at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS NH

We reserved a room with two queen beds for four guests. We arrived in two cars. We were told upon check in that only one of our cars could use a parking pass for the hotel parking lot -- there is only room for one car per room and without a pass we would be towed. We asked what we were supposed to do with our car and the response was that we could "check with some local area vendors to see if we could use their parking lot". Whaaat?? No specific location was identified. This all happening as we were leaving to attend a wedding. The website makes no mention of this and we were very frustrated. We left for the wedding and decided to deal with this issue later. Upon return to the hotel we decided to once more ask if an exception could be made and the hotel desk person agreed to give us a parking pass as there were many spots left in the lot. We understood if there are parking constraints but would have appreciated that information ahead of time instead of adding stress and frustration to our trip.

It was the only hotel that was close to university and it listed a pool in the amenities, which it did not have.The toilet handle wouldn't work (we had to fix it every time we had to flush it). There was not food close so we had to do door dash (which took an hour for delivery because of location). Will NOT be back.

This would have been okay for a one night stay but the in wall air conditioner made it impossible to sleep. Why would anyone put someone in a room with the loudest ac unit making it impossible to sleep. It was torture. I even contemplated sleeping in my car. Others in my party did not have the wall ac unit. Spent $271 . The ONLY reason why I didn’t complain was because I was there for my daughter and didn’t want her to be upset. Parking was also awful as it was not clearly posted, and the “white lines” your told to look for are non existent.

The room that was booked for our stay smelled so bad we had to change rooms. And that room smelled too!! Room was clean and beds were comfortable but the smell was unbearable. It smelled like water was leaking from the A/C unit onto the carpets. Damp, musty and smelled like feet.

WiFi is not working, tv is not working, the remote control is sticky. Our room is next to a door which is noisy every time people close it, it bangs on. This is not a present place.

Room was very nice and clean. I don’t like that you essentially walk into the bathroom. I don’t like the split bathroom where the sink is outside the shower/toilet area. Very unsanitary and disturbing to those sleeping when other uses the sink, turns on the light, etc. Also, very thin walls. We can here people in the next room using the bathroom.

The A/C fan could not be adjusted for speed and tended to whistle a bit. Tried to turn it down, no luck. I normally like the white noise, but this was not as good. Also, the unit is located to blow across the pillows. I turned the vents as far as I could toward the desk, but still had a lot of air on my head. Had to sleep with a sheet over my head. It would not have been as bad if I could have turned the fan down some. Room 107

When we checked in our television didn't work. We called the front desk and they said they would call for maintenance. We waited for over 2 hours and then left the hotel. when we stopped at front desk, there was a new person that knew NOTHING about our tv not working. She then put in call for service. TV was working when we returned. We requested cleaning service on our room (at check in) but NO ONE ever cleaned our room as requested. We stay at this hotel many times throughout the year and this time was one of the first that we experienced any issues.

The air conditioning unit was loud, inefficient, and difficult to use. Also we were on the first floor and at 5:30 am a tour pulled up directly outside our window to prepare for the day. For the next 2 hours, the driver worked in the bus. I understand this is not the hotel’s fault, but that coupled with the terrible ac unit that beeped half the night, very little sleep happened.

I stayed here as I had a work event at UNH. It is right near the campus and some college housing is in the same lot as the hotel. I had no issues parking and no noise issues but this was during the week. Hotel was overall very clean and fairly updated. The hotel front desk seems to only come out from the back when someone is waiting. They came out right away when I was there to check in but when I left I just put the keys in the bowl they had. It would have been nice to have someone there for check out but no complaints and very reasonable price for the hotel and location .

The staff was EXCELLENT and very accommodating allowing us an early check-in to get ready for a wedding and a late checkout for the morning after! The hotel was very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Free breakfast was great, with the exception of those horrible powdered scrambled eggs offered everywhere.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! The breakfast food was cold , Coffee terrible! Check in was not friendly or helpful There was NO Parking anywhere in the lot, finally after driving around for 10 minutes a spaced opened up, we took it. Only to find out the next morning, that it wasn’t a space that hotel patrons can use? It was in the same lot, it was dark and not well lit. Apparently it was not a parking space for hotel patrons? Our car got towed!!! It cost $ 200 to get our car back!! The hotel was no help at all and did not apologize or care!! We are very disgusted and will never stay at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS NH

When we checked in our television didn't work. We called the front desk and they said they would call for maintenance. We waited for over 2 hours and then left the hotel. when we stopped at front desk, there was a new person that knew NOTHING about our tv not working. She then put in call for service. TV was working when we returned. We requested cleaning service on our room (at check in) but NO ONE ever cleaned our room as requested. We stay at this hotel many times throughout the year and this time was one of the first that we experienced any issues.

Pleasant stay. Great location. The interior of the hotel was too warm. Breakfast area was 79 degrees. Other than that it was fine. Convenient, free on-site parking. Convenient for visiting UNH.

Super convenient for visiting Durham and UNH as it’s one of only 2 places that are within reasonable walking distance to downtown and campus. As such, it can be a bit overpriced for the “express” class hotel, especially during the high-demand periods like orientation, graduation, parents’ weekend, etc. Overall though rooms are nice and clean, staff is helpful and friendly. Book early as they tend to sell out.

Excellent, well kept property. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Considering the hotel was pretty empty, was sort of surprised at the relatively high cost, though it is pretty much the only show in town.

Everything was clean and as I would expect in a hotel, and some things were even better than I expected. They had shampoo, conditioner and body wash in dispensers in the shower, which I hadn't ever seen in a hotel. Also, the free breakfast had quite a variety of food, even with gluten-free options for my kid who has celiac. This saved us a bunch of money, since we didn't have to go out to a restaurant for breakfast. We will be coming back to Durham many times, since my eldest will be attending UNH, and will definitely stay here as often as we can.

This property needs to learn the value of community. Anytime there is an event for UNH, they drive up their prices at the expense of the UNH community. The price point for a single night in April (off season) was over $300. For that price we got a room with the wrong bedding that had stains on the walls and basically seemed one step above a roadside motel. Breakfast was included but very poor - items were charred to the heating dishes, etc. When I completed the hotel survey and highlighted these concerns, the managers could have cared less. They were likely too busy taking their money to the bank.

Consistently Excellent Stays I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn in Durham, NH on several occasions, and it’s always a pleasure. The hotel is consistently clean, convenient, and welcoming. The fitness center is one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel of this size—well-maintained and fully equipped. And the breakfast? Absolutely killer! It’s a great way to start the day. I look forward to returning again soon.

This hotel can’t be more convenient for visiting a UNH student and the buffet breakfast is very good. However, my room had a few issues. The carpet needed to be vacuumed - the amount of dirt and hair on it was disgusting. The TV remote was sticky, as if a kid who was eating something had had their hands all over it. I brought it to the front desk to see about cleaning it and was told they couldn’t get the stickiness off. Finally, the wall above the bathroom door (inside the bathroom) had mold.

The staff were very helpful in showing us where to park. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, however, the window shade had tears in it and the walls need updating. Overpriced for the amenities provided.
