Our stay at La Fortezza was amazing! A beautiful property in a beautiful location with beautiful history. Very charming! Probably the best accomodation we have stayed in during our Europe Adventure & much better in real life. So much to see & do in all directions. Francesca was a beautiful person & host!

We spent four amazing nights at this beautiful farmhouse and honestly, it’s one of the nicest homes we’ve ever stayed in. Warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with multiple terraces and an elevated deck that looks out over the countryside and the sea—just stunning.Francesca, our host, was incredibly welcoming and kind. One of the highlights was a private dinner she arranged with two fantastic chefs, Letizia and Chantal, who cooked an unforgettable meal and shared stories behind each dish.We left feeling refreshed and totally in love with the place. If you're looking for peace, beauty, and a real taste of southern Italy, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

This year we spent two weeks in Puglia, and got to know the surrounding country side and the delightful small cities near by. Francescas Fortezza was as near a perfect holiday home as can be: a large garden with various fruit trees and conifers in a colourful mix. One pond for the people and the other for the turtles. The house itself was a mixture of old and new: we liked the appreciation that was given to the work of past generations as well as Francescas own efforts to preserve the old in harmony with new additions. Thus the house was equipped with all the household items you could wish for, but also with solar panels and rechargeable batteries as a sign of a environmentally conscious host. We have been travelling all ovet Italy for over ten years and Francescas home and her positive and active attitude towards her quest has been the most impressive of all.
