Marriott/Moxy should be ashamed of the condition of the MOXY Phoenix Tempe/ASU Area. Our stay was disgusting,unsafe and incredibly disappointing. To start, there was No smoke detector in our room, visible black mold in several places, the refridgerator was filthy, dented and scratched up. This is before we get into the smell of the hotel and room (smelled like a frat house that has never been cleaned and it's the end of the school year). Stained carpets and splatter on the walls of the hallways. The thick dust in the rooms aggrevated my asthma. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel and had to make our own beds without being provided proper bedding. The "stash rrom" had no "stash" of blankets, pillows or supplies. I paid full price only to act as my own maid, housekeeper, and fire inspector. Marriott (who owns The Moxy, was once a trusted brand I relied on for a clean, safe stay for my myself and my family. This experience completely destroyed that trust. Never again. I will gladly take my business to competitors and share this experience with other parents, including ASU parent groups and platforms. If I could rate -10 I would. Shame on you Marriott!
