Perched in a sea of blazing reds and golds, our room's sliding door offered jaw-dropping foliage views that kept us glued to the balcony. Spotless and snug, the space featured sumptuous bedding perfect for lingering mornings. The staff shone brightly—welcoming from arrival, proactive throughout. Kudos to the concierge for flawlessly pulling off my fiancé's birthday magic: a rich cake, crisp French champagne, and chocolate-strawberry delights, all with panache. Chilly, misty days? No problem. The heated outdoor pool and hot tub were blissful havens, their warmth a balm against the crisp air. Post-dip hot towels sealed the spa-like indulgence, leaving us utterly revived. Dog lovers rejoice: it's truly pet-welcoming. Our two Pomeranians have joined us on previous trips. Yet, Alpine Hall's dining dimmed the glow. The elegant vibe belied middling fare—burgers charred to pucks, not the succulent bites promised. Dinner portions skimped, the filet mignon a pricey whisper. Gone too was last year's stellar Berkshire pork chop. Even the Caesar lacked its shaved Parmesan flair. Cocktails? Decent, but $24+ steals prompted us to BYOB for drinks back in our room.. My girls loved to play on the pool, and at the mountain and ski school. The gym is amazing , just the spa the we couldn’t access the sauna (which we love the experience usually on the snow!) . There are restaurants in the hotel, super convenient!

The advertisement talks about the gondola rides and their restaurant. They also speak about their pool. We planned on eating at the restaurant and getting started with our day. Upon arrival we were told the restaurant was held for private group and we would not be able to eat breakfast there at all during week. Being right on the mountain makes the location obviously perfect and the main lodge is such a soaring and inspiring space for drinks and fun times with family and friends. The staff is delightful and attentive. The pool is a show stopper. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful hotel in great distance to dining and shops. Has a nice size pool and a nice outdoor court yard. My only complaint is it definitely isn’t the cleanest hotel I’ve visited. It’s very evident their custodial staff does the bare minimum.

I booked the Studio (Timberline) accommodation. According to the advertisement, the room is supposed to be just under 500 square feet. However, the room we were given was far from this and felt cramped. When we checked in, we were informed that we had been “upgraded” to a ridgeline view. This was puzzling, as we were placed on the 1st floor with a view of the trees. Although the timberline view was what I had originally booked, the so-called upgrade felt disingenuous. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The doors to the terrace were so dirty that it was difficult to see through them. For the price we paid, I expected a more luxurious room. Unfortunately, the furnishings were quite basic, and the shower head was of such poor quality that I imagine even a prison would have better. Moreover, the noise was a significant issue. The room doors are made of very heavy, solid wood and do not have a soft close mechanism, resulting in loud slams throughout the night and early morning. This made it difficult to get a restful night's sleep. We loved Stowe and plan to return but we would not stay here again. I would not recommend this hotel.

Perhaps we visited between spring & summer but stores, spa and most restaurants closed when we left and closed when we returned after 5pm. Wanted snack/dessert room service since nothing open and that closed at 10 and had very limited options. We had no shampoo - requested when we left in morning and it was refilled but dispensers broken - which I realized in the shower. Had to call and wait 45 min for more. The mixing valve on shower was loose so you had to hold the handle at your desired temp or risk being frozen or scalded. Our damp towels from day 1 were folded and placed in tub so we’re still damp day 2. Have stayed at many Hyatts over the years since 1994 and have never experienced this lack of service. Disappointing - would not stay here again for the price.

A beautiful setting and generally the service is excellent (especially the valet, staff greeting and checking in guests). Service at the restaurants was spotty. Housekeeping was mediocre- the room we stayed in didn’t have regular coffee (only decaf) and when they came in to clean the room they left an empty can and a dirty coffee mug. The hallways near the rooms could be better cared for; There was a big chunk of plaster that had chipped off the wall and was lying on the floor for days and no one bothered to clean it up no less vacuum. But overall a nice experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beds are comfortable with high quality sheets. I would stay here again despite the issues above which are easily solved.

Great property, very clean and very nice people. Only weird this is they do have a lot of hidden fees that they do not tell you about, like the $210 resort fee and $35 parking fee. But other than that a great place to stay.

Great room. Our only minor complaint was the sound of rain pitter pattering down the rain gutters through out the night. Must have been a downspout just outside our room.

We stayed for two nights in February. Overall had a good stay. Right at the ski area with lifts and gondolas on site. Restaurants on site are too pricey and parking is not free, we paid $35 a night for valet parking and I don’t know if there is an option for self park as they took our vehicle when we arrived. There are a couple other restaurants outside the resort that had Mexican and traditional Vermont food and were a bit less expensive. Pool and hot tubs outside were great. Service was friendly, just had to wait long for a request for housekeeping and toilet paper. Asked at 12:30, they arrived at 3:30, but that’s understandable with busy times. Rooms were nice but could hear noises loud and clear from adjacent connecting room. I wish they had placed us in a room far from the couple next door who would wake up myself and my kids from loud moaning at 6:30am both days. Beds were clean and comfortable. I would probably stay again.

I booked the Studio (Timberline) accommodation. According to the advertisement, the room is supposed to be just under 500 square feet. However, the room we were given was far from this and felt cramped. When we checked in, we were informed that we had been “upgraded” to a ridgeline view. This was puzzling, as we were placed on the 1st floor with a view of the trees. Although the timberline view was what I had originally booked, the so-called upgrade felt disingenuous. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The doors to the terrace were so dirty that it was difficult to see through them. For the price we paid, I expected a more luxurious room. Unfortunately, the furnishings were quite basic, and the shower head was of such poor quality that I imagine even a prison would have better. Moreover, the noise was a significant issue. The room doors are made of very heavy, solid wood and do not have a soft close mechanism, resulting in loud slams throughout the night and early morning. This made it difficult to get a restful night's sleep. We loved Stowe and plan to return but we would not stay here again. I would not recommend this hotel.

The resort was beautiful! Wish we were there during season when the village would be accessible but was still nice to explore. Our room was spectacular and HUGE (corner room). Already planning the next trip and inviting everyone we know!

Sliding glass door to balcony is very difficult to lock. For child safety there needs to be another lock higher up. Also there is zero sound proofing in the rooms. I shouldn’t be able to hear a conversation across the hall.

If first impressions matter, and they do, then spruce Peak is at the top of the charts. I’ve never seen a more efficient and cordial group as the valet attendants. Amidst the chaos, they are cool, calm and on top of it. I give the rest of the staff 4.5 stars. We can’t speak for the spa and we did not participate in the hiking or biking, etc. It was crowded, people were having fun. However, granting this is a five star facility with five star prices, the dining experience came up a bit short both on the quality of food (breakfast buffet) and what seemed like a bit of inexperience and staffing shortages on the floor. 4.5 stars.

The lodge was very nice but after traveling all day we arrived over an hour after normal check in time and we wanted to change before going to one of our scheduled tours. At check in we were informed our room still was not available. We paid over $500 for our room and we had to leave to our tour without changing or freshening up and had to check in after the tour and dinner. They offered us two free drinks at the bar but my husband doesn’t even drink. I did go to use them at the bar and all the drinks I had asked for they were out of so I finally just asked them to make something fruity. The drinks were terrible and I ended up throwing it away. Pretty disappointed with the stay considering our room was not even ready for well over an hour after scheduled check in for such a high priced room. Other than that the room was nice and hotel was well maintained. It is pretty far from the town but is in a nice area.

We were told our room was not ready when we arrived at 5:00. We were sent a text that the room was ready at 6:00 and that our luggage was in the room. 45 minutes later they still had not located our luggage which we found out later was in the wrong room.

Great location, perfect for skiing! We were here in the fall to hike and even though it was a bit of a drive to some of the trail heads, it's such a beautiful location it was well worth it.

The lodge is a fabulous stay for a family- especially one looking to ski Stowe. They’re efficient with getting checked in, stuff to your room, skis stored, etc.

Very nice and pleasant staff. Property was beautiful but a little large, although it had all the conveniences and amenities you need. Our room was great- a studio, but was a long walk from everything, although it was very quiet, large , and had a gorgeous view of the mountains. You must use the Valet, the price was included in our stay, or you could self park for a fee and it was a short walk from the hotel. The valet process was quick and had very easy access to our car whenever needed . We did ski , but this property is not a true “ ski in ski out”- we had to take the Gondola at the hotel across the way to the ski mountain which was still ok with us , but you can’t just put on your skis and ski on the mountain. The outdoor skating rink was nice, we did not use but the kids looked like they were having fun. We did not try the outdoor heated pool but it looked nice, especially at night . Overall , great place to stay with plenty to do even if you don’t ski !

Being right on the mountain makes the location obviously perfect and the main lodge is such a soaring and inspiring space for drinks and fun times with family and friends. The staff is delightful and attentive. The pool is a show stopper. Can’t wait to go back!

The Lodge at Spruce Peak was the perfect place to stay in Stowe, Vermont. It is a few miles away from the main shopping district of Stowe. There are a variety of dining options on the property, including a pantry to buy sandwiches in case we did not feel like dining in one of the restaurants. This lodge has everything: beautiful rooms, delicious food, shopping in stores on the property. a scotch bar and outdoor pavillion, a one mile walking path around the property, and even access to the cable cars that go up the mountain right from the property. Great!

Spotless and snug, the space featured sumptuous bedding perfect for lingering mornings. The staff shone brightly—welcoming from arrival, proactive throughout. Kudos to the concierge for flawlessly pulling off my fiancé's birthday magic: a rich cake, crisp French champagne, and chocolate-strawberry delights, all with panache. Chilly, misty days? No problem. The heated outdoor pool and hot tub were blissful havens, their warmth a balm against the crisp air. Post-dip hot towels sealed the spa-like indulgence, leaving us utterly revived. Dog lovers rejoice: it's truly pet-welcoming. Our two Pomeranians have joined us on previous trips. Yet, Alpine Hall's dining dimmed the glow. The elegant vibe belied middling fare—burgers charred to pucks, not the succulent bites promised. Dinner portions skimped, the filet mignon a pricey whisper. We were there for a college visit. The only thing that upset me was due to the weather we were delayed for check in and arrived at 10pm. There was no food service at the bar and no other options to eat locally. The next morning for breakfast it was $80 for three people for the buffet. I thought that was very steep for the selection that was provided.

The hotel restaurants were terrible. Lack of options and about 3x too expensive ..the service at them was just as awful.. Service in hotel was just okay but for the price to stay there should be top notch..beautiful property but need to invest in a more trained friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel in great distance to dining and shops. Has a nice size pool and a nice outdoor court yard. My only complaint is it definitely isn’t the cleanest hotel I’ve visited. It’s very evident their custodial staff does the bare minimum.

The grounds and accomodations are very nice. The complain has to do with the two main restaurants. One can expect based on the beautiful and elegant settings a much better meal experience even more considering the prices. We had dinner at Alpine Hall and room service from Tipsy Trout and we just can't recomend them. It is advisable to seak a nice meal experience elsewhere.

Beautiful and relaxing resort ! My only recommendation for summer visits would be to have more to do at the resort other than the pool. Possibly have more shops open more offering ice cream, coffee, treats etc and offer outside seating so at night your guests can enjoy the beautiful outside temps. We did enjoy our stay, Thank you !

There were so many additional charges that were unexpected. For example the parking was valet only and an extra $35 a day. We did not have direct access to the car which was inconvenient. The onsite options for food and drink were so expensive and overpriced. It was difficult to find information about when things would be open and restaurants had limited time where food was available. Things were closed more than they were open. It was a lot of money to spend for the experience we had.

Overall I’ve had excellent stays at Spruce Peak Lodge. The rooms are lovely. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Alpine Hall and Tipsy Trout restaurants are delicious. Outdoor pool and hot tubs are relaxing and surrounded by fantastic views. The only slight hiccup I’ve encountered both times are with the spa amenities. Each time the women’s space has been either out of commission entirely or broke while I was using it and I had to leave. That said, the spa did supply a voucher to cover amenities for a future visit. I just hope when I return to use it that the amenities are working.

Each time the women’s space has been either out of commission entirely or broke while I was using it and I had to leave. That said, the spa did supply a voucher to cover amenities for a future visit. I just hope when I return to use it that the amenities are working.
