The overall situation right in the middle of Fowey was definitely a draw. The common areas were modern and attractive and the terrace overlooking the harbour was perhaps the most attractive feature. What I didn't like was the small size of the rooms and the exorbitant price relative to the overall experience.

Difficult to find and need to enter address rather than postcode into satnav. Reception closes at 6pm and breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30, so we missed both of these as we were there on business. Expensive limited table d’hote menu for the evening. Parking is half a mile away, not a pleasant walk with luggage when raining!

Great location, comfortable and clean room. Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast. Good supply of tea/coffee/biccies/water topped up daily. Paid for parking 10 mins walk away but this is made clear on the hotels website.

Right in the middle of Fowey so no need for a car. Parking is quite a way away, so you will need to drop off bags and then park. The room we had was very comfortable with views across the Fowey river. Restaurant was very good. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely hotel on the side of the estuary, rooms great and food excellent. Staff very friendly and professional. Parking a bit of a hassle but that’s the same everywhere in Fowey. Our room to the front was a bit noisy at closing time but then quiet. Would recommend.

Parking is a big issue. The lot for cars was perhaps a mile away. They need a staff member to park the cars for their guests. Also, there is no lift and the stairs are steep. It would be very helpful for a member of staff to carry suitcases to the rooms. Other than that we found the hotel convenient to shops and restaurants. The breakfasts were good and the staff friendly.

What a fantastic stay we had as two couples celebrating my birthday. How lucky was I to receive a complimentary room upgrade which was a great surprise. The room had a side view overlooking the water, a comfortable king bed and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with so many cooked options. The hotel was central in Fowey, so everything was easily walkable. Sitting on the terrace with a drink on the water was a really calming area. Can’t recommend this fantastic find enough

Good staff and comfortable bed. On busy street at night with loud people partying that kept us up. No ventilation in room except one window that was so heavy it was difficult to open or shut. Staff at breakfast were poor, a little discourteous and unwelcoming. Standard coffee was weak but if you ask for a speciality coffee (not advertised) then much better. Stair carpet needs replacing. Excellent location and the room was perfect.

Room and restaurant with perfect views of Polruan and Fowey. Breakfast choice was generous and delicious with a truly friendly service. Room was of a good size, clean and comfortable. Nothing more to add other than the hotel offered a great place for a short out of season break.

Room was comfortable, shared areas though, main reception hallway, being used to dump washing bags, decorators leaving tools and boxes everywhere, and an annoyed photographer, apparently the hotel hadn’t set up for his shoot, would stop me from recommending.

Great location, lovely hotel. Unfortunately one of the blinds in our room was broken and could not be pulled up, reception informed us of this when we checked in. Room was also very very warm, the fan provided did not solve the issue. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Quite pricey for what was provided but as it is in the centre of Fowey you are paying for the location. The breakfast was absolutely superb, best I've had in a very long time home or abroad.

A lovely one night stay in this boutique hotel in the centre of Fowey. All staff were really friendly, welcoming and hospitable. The hotel had a lovely feel, was clean and comfortable with lovely touches in the rooms to welcome guests and wonderful smelling essential oil toiletries A lovely wide choice of breakfast options too, set in the dining room overlooking the water. Great overall stay for one night although longer would have been lovely. Thankyou

We stayed in a room on the front of the hotel. Sadly the noise from the street woke us at six am and just didn’t stop. One other thing: the coffee was dreadful!

Food was excellent and service in the restaurant very good. The overall ambience was very pleasant. Our room was disappointing. It was small with no seat other than the bed. Wardrobe and drawer provision were inadequate even for a 2 night stay. The lack of parking is a serious problem with a 800 yard walk to pick up the car unacceptable to many of your guests, but it's a problem that won't go away.
Food was excellent and service in the restaurant very good. The overall ambience was very pleasant. Our room was disappointing. It was small with no seat other than the bed. A lovely one night stay in this boutique hotel in the centre of Fowey. All staff were really friendly, welcoming and hospitable. The hotel had a lovely feel, was clean and comfortable with lovely touches in the rooms to welcome guests and wonderful smelling essential oil toiletries A lovely wide choice of breakfast options too, set in the dining room overlooking the water. Great overall stay for one night although longer would have been lovely. Thankyou

Lovely hotel on the side of the estuary, rooms great and food excellent. Staff very friendly and professional. Parking a bit of a hassle but that’s the same everywhere in Fowey. Our room to the front was a bit noisy at closing time but then quiet. Would recommend.

Staff at breakfast were poor, a little discourteous and unwelcoming. Standard coffee was weak but if you ask for a speciality coffee (not advertised) then much better. Stair carpet needs replacing. Excellent location and the room was perfect.

Difficult to find and need to enter address rather than postcode into satnav. Reception closes at 6pm and breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30, so we missed both of these as we were there on business. Expensive limited table d’hote menu for the evening. Parking is half a mile away, not a pleasant walk with luggage when raining!

Right in the middle of Fowey so no need for a car. Parking is quite a way away, so you will need to drop off bags and then park. The room we had was very comfortable with views across the Fowey river. Restaurant was very good. Breakfast was excellent.

What a fantastic stay we had as two couples celebrating my birthday. How lucky was I to receive a complimentary room upgrade which was a great surprise. The room had a side view overlooking the water, a comfortable king bed and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with so many cooked options. The hotel was central in Fowey, so everything was easily walkable. Sitting on the terrace with a drink on the water was a really calming area. Can’t recommend this fantastic find enough

A warm and welcoming hotel. Excellent food , we highly recommend the breakfast and outstanding orange juice. Thank you for making our Christmas break such a pleasure with delicious lunch provided while we enjoyed the excellent view from the restaurant. Free parking arrangements also appreciated.

Great location, lovely hotel. Unfortunately one of the blinds in our room was broken and could not be pulled up, reception informed us of this when we checked in. Room was also very very warm, the fan provided did not solve the issue. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Quite pricey for what was provided but as it is in the centre of Fowey you are paying for the location. The breakfast was absolutely superb, best I've had in a very long time home or abroad.

Food was excellent and service in the restaurant very good. The overall ambience was very pleasant. Our room was disappointing. It was small with no seat other than the bed. Wardrobe and drawer provision were inadequate even for a 2 night stay. The lack of parking is a serious problem with a 800 yard walk to pick up the car unacceptable to many of your guests, but it's a problem that won't go away.

Hotel is located near the harbour and all the shops. It has a nice restaurant with outdoor seating but be mindful of seagulls if eating outside. I booked a classic room. It was small and and a bit hot with the current weather.

It states that breakfast is "free / included" in the price, this wasn't the case. The price per person for breakfast was £14 pp. Staff were brilliant & honoured our booking, so fair play to them. Everything else was fantastic 🙌

Great location and food. Only slight concern was a need for TLC in places. The stair handrail needs painting and some WiFi nodes were hanging by their wires. Also note that the photo of lounge area is now a bar area and needs updating. Lovely big bathroom and room we had which was excellent
