Very impressed with the accommodation, was expecting a family room but we were provided with an appartment that was spacious and comfortable for our short stay. Also did not realise the reasonable cost included access to the spa and pool which were fantastic. The spa had lots to do including 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, various cold shower settings and a caribean storm shower?! We were also pleasently surprised by the gym which was well kitted out and felt new. The staff were all very friendly and the food was decent too.

A lovely stay for families with young children due to the onsite softplay and outdoor playground and pools with shallow paddling area. The spa looked really good although can be busy in the evenings. The onsite brasserie served delicious food.

Great property with a family. Very friendly. Lots to do for the kids including pool, racket sports, golf and clean rooms with kitchens. Very useful with kids. Breakfast was nice and relaxed too. Easy to book games. We had a fabulous time.

Went in the pool lasted 5 mins it was freezing and the 2 times we went in the spa could not be bothered as it was 2 busy and coukd not get to use anything. Hogged by middle aged lads.

Great family experience. Lots of activities for everyone. Swimming pool with flume and aqua spa is one of the best. Pro shop has lots of items and driving range is well maintained. Brasserie food quality was excellent. We will be staying again for sure.

Everything was perfect again, except sheets provided for spare bed was covered with dog hair. When we phoned the reception, first they said it is late(9pm) and they don’t have it. Then they said give them some time and come and collect from reception, then 5min later they ended up bringing it to our room. That was our second time there. I would go again , as I said everything else was good

Beautiful clean apartment to stay, even provided a pint of milk. Hotel staff were welcoming and very helpful. Aqua Spa was an amazing start to the day.

We thought the country club was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed and more. The facilities at the club are great - we loved the pool and slide, the crazy golf course was immaculate and lots of fun, we also played squash and used the spa. We were able to leave our kids (11& 13) on the waterslide and pop in there for a sauna, steam and jacuzzi- we thought it was excellent. The breakfast buffet was particularly loved by our 2 boys and we had a nice evening meal in The Brasserie. Overall we had an excellent stay and we would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We will be back! Thank you

Lovely location and quiet. Room cold due to poor heating (storage heaters) otherwise great room. Breakfast is good and food in bar area good value for money with a reasonable choice. Bring your own heater if staying during winter months.

Really roomy well equipped apartment. Only possible criticism is that the bathroom / toilet was ensuite with the bedroom . . . had someone be using the sofa bed in the living room they would have had to commute through the bedroom. Huge carpark. Walkable (about a kilometre, up and down hill) to Saltash for buses to Plymouth, or to walk over the bridge and get fabulous views of the Tamar Estuary and Brunel's bridge. (But wouldn't want to walk back from Saltash to the hotel in darkness as part of the lane has no footpath). Lovely pool / sauna (etc) / gym . . . also (apparently) squash courts and a sports hall (there is presumably a mechanism for booking the last two?). Also - again apparently - a children's play area. Pool had a water slide. Friendly and efficient staff, and a bistro / bar upstairs in the main building - but our apartment had pretty decent kitchen and cooking facilities so mainly self catered. Can't fault the place.

Had a lovely 4 night break here as a family. Facilities are great, staff are great. No cons to report really other than we found the mattress to be a bit uncomfortable as it was firmer than we like - felt the springs so wasn’t as comfy as I like but maybe just a personal preference. We did arrive very early as we wanted to beat the traffic.. journey time for us is approx 4-5 hours traffic depending. We were informed we can use the hotel facilities and the grounds which kept us all entertained. The kids loved the soft play area, this was fantastic for them and they were very keen to go to the pool and water slide. We all had a go at the adventure golf which was really fun and went to explore the fairy woodland trail too. Food in the brasserie was well received. Lovely meal and pudding too. They also do some very nice cocktails! The children also enjoyed the outside play area. There is a lot to keep you entertained here and unfortunately we did not have time to check out the interactive golf or driving range. We also didn’t make use of the spa and treatments etc as we went out exploring Cornwall during the day. Wish we had booked longer! I have to mention breakfast as this was very nice and the lady at breakfast was very good especially with our children who kept her busy with lots of talking and requests for pancakes! We all had a great stay and hope to come back again in future.

Was a great time. Lovely place for family and will likely be back every year. Cons: main bed quite hard. Woke up with aches each day. Room backed onto golf course - unfortunately woke up at 0700 with the sound of lawnmower on the golf course every day. Still - a good time had by all.

We had a lovely weekend at The China Fleet Club and made use of the facilities. We enjoyed the adventure golf and the swimming pool. The only negative point was the apartment was far too hot, but understand the app to control the heating was broken. So were told to open the windows. Which wasn't always appropriate having a 6 month old baby and had to keep getting up to open or close the window at night.

30 years old building, looks tired and dated and needs a major overhaul. It’s not a country club, it’s a leisure centre with a golf course. Some staff were below what you would expect of a 3 star let alone a 4 star. Would not visit again or return.

The staff were great after some initial confusion about the room, sorting the problem out with no fuss. Hotel room was really nice. A good stay and will stay again.

The staff were great after some initial confusion about the room, sorting the problem out with no fuss. Hotel room was really nice. A good stay and will stay again.

Plus - great driving range. Lovely setting. Negatives - very pricey for one night stay considering breakfast wasn’t included. Lots of kids around. Food quite bland. Staff didn’t tell us when or where breakfast was so we missed it despite paying extra for it.

Really roomy well equipped apartment. Only possible criticism is that the bathroom / toilet was ensuite with the bedroom . . . had someone be using the sofa bed in the living room they would have had to commute through the bedroom. Huge carpark. Walkable (about a kilometre, up and down hill) to Saltash for buses to Plymouth, or to walk over the bridge and get fabulous views of the Tamar Estuary and Brunel's bridge. (But wouldn't want to walk back from Saltash to the hotel in darkness as part of the lane has no footpath). Lovely pool / sauna (etc) / gym . . . also (apparently) squash courts and a sports hall (there is presumably a mechanism for booking the last two?). Also - again apparently - a children's play area. Pool had a water slide. Friendly and efficient staff, and a bistro / bar upstairs in the main building - but our apartment had pretty decent kitchen and cooking facilities so mainly self catered. Can't fault the place.

beautiful location out from the main busy area yet not too quiet! room was just enough for me n my 2 girls. good breakfast unfortunately we didn't make use of much as both daughter n myself arent a big eater still good for the money i paid. little thing that matters though ... toilet rolls could have been bit better quality it was very thin layer 🙃 overall we enjoyed our stay x

A very nice, large complex with lots to do for kids and adults. We used it as a base to explore the rest of Cornwall. It is clean and had a kitchen, if you want to do your own cooking.

Our stay at China Fleet was really good. The apartment was clean and tidy. There were ample supplies of tea and coffee provided - and milk in the fridge! All the rooms were very clean. The Aqua Spa and pool were great although very busy on the Saturday - Sunday was a little quieter. Breakfast was ok. We waited about 20 mins after placing our order for a full English for the food to arrive, which wasn't an excessive wait - The food was well cooked and used good quality ingredients. On the whole, I'd highly recommend the China Fleet Club if you want to unwind and use the Aqua Spa and as a good base to explore Plymouth and the South-West.

We thought the country club was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed and more. The facilities at the club are great - we loved the pool and slide, the crazy golf course was immaculate and lots of fun, we also played squash and used the spa. We were able to leave our kids (11& 13) on the waterslide and pop in there for a sauna, steam and jacuzzi- we thought it was excellent. The breakfast buffet was particularly loved by our 2 boys and we had a nice evening meal in The Brasserie. Overall we had an excellent stay and we would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We will be back! Thank you

Very nice surroundings and views. Clean and spacious room, very comfortable. The spa is very clean, has a great selection of heat treatments. Tennis, gym, mini golf and golf. Everything on the doorstep, no cars. The dining option was good, but it would be so nice to have some finer options. Overall a great resourcing stay.

We enjoyed our self catering facilifies. There was so much to do at the location, i.e., mini golfing, golfing range, fairy dust walk by the river, gym, swimming and kids play area. There was everything for the whole family. The kids definitely loved it.

Second visit to China Fleet Country Club, staff are very cheerful, helpful and friendly, breakfast has a large selection of hot and cold items and is worth the extra money. The rooms are clean and comfortable but in need of some TLC. Would stay here again.

We booked an apartment which was down as a wheelchair chair friendly. That is why we booked it. As my husband uses a disability scooter. Anyway when we arrived and saw the apartment we liked it. Well my husband tried to get in the bedroom, he couldn't. Not enough room for his scooter. Anyway we complained, staff came and tried to sort it out by removing furniture. They tried there best. We had one night there instead instead of 6 nights. We could t cope there for 6nights. We had to find somewhere else to stay , and we did. Thay room isn't wheelchair friendly
