Positives, kids club included, mainly arts and crafts. Went full board, food was decent to nice but not exceptional (basic cuts of meat and fish etc). The town and beach are walking distance, around 10-15mins away. Negative, my wife went to the spa to use the sauna, steam room, which incurs an extra charge. Facilities here were not in good condition and need renewing. I used the gym, which is rather basic and small. For strength exercises, there's only one multi-station. Staff were polite but I wouldn't say overly friendly. We had all had fun overall. Just don't set your expectations too high.

Excellent four night stay. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Appreciated the fact that there were chairs in the room as well as on the balcony. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and always fresh. Ahough we stayed just outside high season, there were plenty of sunbeds and a very nicely kept pool area. Access to the adult pool was via authorisation on the room key, which was a little temperamental, but it's a lovely area, again well kept, with great views.

Fantastic hotel for a family holiday in Tossa. The facilities, entertainment and dining are only surpassed by the staff who are a credit to the hotel. Pools are varied and well maintained, roof top bar for adults is great and the buffet meals are high quality. We did half board, was more than enough. Tossa is a short walk to the old town and beach with its many cafes and restaurants. Can't wait to return

The hotel was great more than expected and very family friendly. Only down side is how thin the walls are especially if you have younger children I would say the only thing they can approve on is will be trying to put family and children on the scene four not next to someone who do not have younger children so that the noise will not disturb them during their stay. Also, even though it was a little off-season, having a heated Jacuzzi or at least a warm, Jacuzzi would’ve been great for outside. The after hours, kids club was absolutely amazing. Each night was a different show or a different activity. It was very entertaining for both adults and children. I will definitely stay here again with my family and or by myself.

El hotel es muy bonito y grande, las habitaciones espaciosas y bien cuidadas, las camas cómodas, eché en falta más artículos de higiene en los lavabos, el área de las piscinas está muy bien, piscina grande y con suficientes tumbonas para todo el hotel, la zona de piscina cubierta y spa está genial, el buffet libre muy variado y comida muy rica, el personal muy amable, totalmente recomendable

Hotel has very good facilities, adult only pool and bar, family pool area and daily activities. There was nightly entertainment and a comfortable lounge bar. The rooms were an ok size with wifi, tv & tea/coffee facilities. The free toiletries were lovely. We only ate breakfast but there was plenty of choice and enjoyed it all

Amazingly large and multiple pools in a smaller town. Our family aren't big beach fans, so we like a good pool hotel. This was perfect as we got our pool and it was walking distance to the beach and main town area. The breakfast was amazing. I wish we could've stayed longer! Only downside was there wasn't food by the pool. I guess they closed it since covid.

When we checked in we found room floor very dusty under the bed and there were hair in the bathroom floor and mold around shower door. Front desk was informed regarding cleanliness and issue was corrected. Staff was pleasant! Food was good. Good job with the rooftop.

Nice rooms, working AC, excellent housekeeping/cleaners, moderately helpful reception, very friendly and accommodating restaurant. Nice pool, ample capacity of sunbeds and outdoor and indoor space. Decent gym and not too far from city center and stores. Would stay here again.

Séjour d’une semaine avec un petit garçon de 4 ans et une petite fille de 4 mois. Tout était parfait pour ce deuxième passage au Golden Bahia. Le buffet qualitatif pour un buffet à volonté. Les piscines sont très propres, l’hôtel également et le personnel adorable.

This property is an absolute gem !!!! The staff was so polite, helpful, and accommodating. They were complete professionals from beginning to end. This includes the staff at the front desk, the cleaning staff, the chefs, and the severs. The property was extremely clean. This includes the lobby to the restaurant to the pool to the rooms. Smoking is not permitted on this property. The location is important as well. It is on the outskirts of the beach area. It is still walking distance but you have the luxury of returning to a quiet neighborhood. I am surprised that this hotel is not rated higher than it is seen on the websites.

We have stayed in this hotel a few times in the last 20 years, it’s has been a while and they have really listened to customer feedback as the roof top pool is amazing 😎 getting away from kids! The only problem I had with our stay was the unnecessary shouting the cleaners did first thing in the morning… not nice to wake up too … apart from that perfect 👍

Some of the amenities were modern, but not all of them. The bathrooms were outdated, but clean. The property and guests would benefit from improving soundproofing. We got woken up at 6 am every day of our stay to the sound of kids screaming in the hallway and people upstairs moving around. Some of the employees were rude, and the hotel requires a cash deposit for pool towels, which is odd, and unlike any other resort-style hotel I’ve stayed at. We had an okay experience for the price we payed. There is room for improvement.

Super de luxe Binnen zwembad is klein maar goed te doen Ontbijt was 5 sterren er is veel keus Lounge is schoon, netjes, ziet er gezellig uit Nadeel dat de kamers erg gehorig zijn. Je hoort echt alles. Personeel mag veel vriendelijker zijn. Wij wilden een inloop douche. Bij de receptie zei de man die ons aansprak we kunnen kijken maar kunnen niks garanderen. Komt er een hinderlijke vrouw met een bril schreeuwend naast de man staan en zegt Nou dat denk ik niet we gaan het morgen bekijken maar denk niet dat het gaat lukken. Ze snauwde ons af. Ivanov is een hele leuke man bij de recptie. We gingen elke keer naar hem toe om iets te vragen. Locatie is erg rustig en mooi alleen niet fijn als je in Loret uit wil gaan dan moet je 20min. door de bossen rijden wat heel gevaarlijk is. Je ziet echt letterlijk niks en er zijn alleen maar bochten waar je elke keer moet afremmen. Het personeel vertelde dat er ook nog eens wilde zwijnen zijn die ook nog eens op je pad kunnen komen wat gevaarlijk is

The hotel was great more than expected and very family friendly. Only down side is how thin the walls are especially if you have younger children I would say the only thing they can approve on is will be trying to put family and children on the scene four not next to someone who do not have younger children so that the noise will not disturb them during their stay. Also, even though it was a little off-season, having a heated Jacuzzi or at least a warm, Jacuzzi would’ve been great for outside. The after hours, kids club was absolutely amazing. Each night was a different show or a different activity. It was very entertaining for both adults and children. I will definitely stay here again with my family and or by myself.

Hotel has very good facilities, adult only pool and bar, family pool area and daily activities. There was nightly entertainment and a comfortable lounge bar. The rooms were an ok size with wifi, tv & tea/coffee facilities. The free toiletries were lovely. We only ate breakfast but there was plenty of choice and enjoyed it all

The location is near the bus station, which worked well for us. Our room was lovely and quiet, with a nice bed and bathroom. The hotel and food prices were spendy compared to other hotels we have recently stayed at, but we enjoyed our time there for 3 nights.

Lovely stay. Nice modern hotel. Good breakfast. Very clean. Beds in room were doubles not bigger. Rooms very hot and aircon not turned on till June, heat only till then. We had to sleep with patio door open. Parking was difficult at times. Some lovely restaurants within a 5 min walk and the town and beachfront is pretty.

Nice hotel with excellent facilities. To be honest it was a bit noisy for us but would be ideal if you have a young family. Whilst we went AI it was hit and miss....the restaurant was excellent, the bar service less so. All in all we're glad we went, Tossa is a lovely place and we will definitely return, probably though to a different hotel.

This the third time we have stayed at the Golden Bahia in the last 17 years. The recent renovations have really enhanced the hotel. It was great to see some staff from our orginal visit all those years ago particularly the restaurant manager who was as professional, friendly and helpful as always. It was also amazing to see Omar the worlds greatest egg chef every morning for breakfast. Best omelettes ever. A speacial mention to waitress Catherine who works tirelesly in the bar and is super super friendly. Only slight negatives were that it was sometimes difficult to get a drink in the restaurant because the staff were so busy constantly clearing tables. Would've been better if you were offered a drink when you were seated. Also it would be better if you could get served at the bar rather than waiting for the table service. Entertainment was also not as good as previous years. All in all a fabulous holiday in a beautiful hotel. We were all inclusive and the food was amazing and plentiful. We love this hotel and Tossa de Mar as a whole and hopefully will return for a 4th time one day. Very highly recommended ❤️❤️

Before arriving at the hotel (which we have stayed at many times in the last 20 years) I emailed to say it was my 24th wedding anniversary and we were travelling up and down the Costa brava and while we were at the golden Bahia could I have a room with a nice view… we arrived and our room was a road side room overlooking a building site with work men looking into our room 😭 we went down to reception and were told abruptly no the hotel was full and there’s nothing we can do… So I started looking for other hotels to move to, and funny enough the golden Bahia had rooms available the next day …. But they couldn’t move us??? Anyway cutting a long story short later that evening they called us to say we could move rooms the following day, after 20 years on and off staying here would I go back … no probably. As there is just the 2 of us now ( kids are grown up) I like to split my holiday and stay in a few holidays, we went to the golden mar menduda after this and had a wonderful experience.

We loved our stay in Golden Bahia. The staff were always smiling and very attentive. The animation team was amazing. Our 3 year old loved it and her new “friends” in the kids club. Tossa de mar is beautiful and the hotel is in a good very central location. We will hopefully be back some day. The only thing I could criticize is that you could be more environmentally friendly.

Pools are varied and well maintained, roof top bar for adults is great and the buffet meals are high quality. We did half board, was more than enough. Tossa is a short walk to the old town and beach with its many cafes and restaurants. Can't wait to return

What a great find this hotel was. Once you travel north from Lorret de Mar the scenery changes and you arrive in Tossa de Mar - a delightful and typical Spanish resort full of Costa Brava style and atmosphere. The hotel is 10 minutes or so comfortably back from the seafront and easily accessible as you enter Tossa by road. Greeted by a 7 storey atrium, helpful and friendly staff everywhere, good choice of food for breakfast and evening meals, lovely quality furnishings throughout the hotel from sunbeds to rooftop loungers. More or less level walks past numerous cafes and bars to the shops and seafront. Check out any old photos you can find of Tossa - fascinating. The lights over the bathroom mirror give off enough heat to get a tan and need to be more eco-friendly. The outside balcony lights are left on far too late in to early hours and must cost a fortune. This is the best hotel we have stayed in a long while and will definitely be booking to come back - not once but maybe twice next year.

This property is an absolute gem !!!! The staff was so polite, helpful, and accommodating. They were complete professionals from beginning to end. This includes the staff at the front desk, the cleaning staff, the chefs, and the severs. The property was extremely clean. This includes the lobby to the restaurant to the pool to the rooms. Smoking is not permitted on this property. The location is important as well. It is on the outskirts of the beach area. It is still walking distance but you have the luxury of returning to a quiet neighborhood. I am surprised that this hotel is not rated higher than it is seen on the websites.

Positives, kids club included, mainly arts and crafts. Went full board, food was decent to nice but not exceptional (basic cuts of meat and fish etc). The town and beach are walking distance, around 10-15mins away. Negative, my wife went to the spa to use the sauna, steam room, which incurs an extra charge. Facilities here were not in good condition and need renewing. I used the gym, which is rather basic and small. For strength exercises, there's only one multi-station. Staff were polite but I wouldn't say overly friendly. We had all had fun overall. Just don't set your expectations too high.

Excellent four night stay. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Appreciated the fact that there were chairs in the room as well as on the balcony. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and always fresh. Ahough we stayed just outside high season, there were plenty of sunbeds and a very nicely kept pool area. Access to the adult pool was via authorisation on the room key, which was a little temperamental, but it's a lovely area, again well kept, with great views.

Fantastic family hotel. Pool area is a delight no running for sunbeds in the morning. Bar and waiting staff are friendly and efficient. Room has plenty of space for 4. Large array of food for breakfast lunch and dinner. Hot dogs, burgers etc available self serve all day when all inclusive which I recommend. Entertainment in the evening is a little ropey but fun nonetheless. The Fun&Go Staff are amazing however. Sports, games and activities around the pool, and quiz/bingo at night.

Stunning hotel and the staff go above and beyond for you. The entertainment staff were the best we’ve come across. Lots of kids & adult games throughout the day around the pools. The only issue we had was that the food was not labelled at all so it limited our choice due to severe nut allergies. The pool is quite busy due to it being a family hotel but there is a lovely quiet adults only area on the roof. I will say that the pool temperature is amazing - you can get straight in as it’s not freezing like most hotel pools. The evening entertainment was great, lots of different acts all happening at the same time in different areas of the hotel. Tossa de Mar was beautiful and well worth a trip into town (10 minutes walk) or fun little train that stops outside the hotel (again worth a go as you see more of Tossa) the castle has stunning views overlooking the sea. We loved it so much, we are returning in 5 weeks!

Amazingly large and multiple pools in a smaller town. Our family aren't big beach fans, so we like a good pool hotel. This was perfect as we got our pool and it was walking distance to the beach and main town area. The breakfast was amazing. I wish we could've stayed longer! Only downside was there wasn't food by the pool. I guess they closed it since covid.

A very fun place for kids. The kids club had entertainment for kids a few times per day also at nights 8-10 or 11 pm! The food was great.

For an all-inclusive family getaway in Spain this works with several pools for kids but they charge for clean pool towels and the kids club is not geared for kids over the age of 5. They don’t offer sports activities for active kids or evening activities for parents to get a break and only two billiard tables (which you have to pay for) means a lot of waiting around for your turn, especially when rude families just keep playing. There are attire rules posted but not enforced by staff within the hotel or at the pool. All-inclusive only gets kids drinks & ice cream (not chips or cookies) and drink options for adults at the bar are minimal (unless you pay more). The restaurant had better options but the plates and utensils were always filthy. Not confident things were actually cleaned by machine and many times had to ask the chefs to cook food more thoroughly (seafood, meat and crepes were regularly undercooked).
