5* Gold Award Barn Conversion at the Heart of The Cotswolds

We spent our family Christmas at Southwold Barn and it was nothing short of magical. The barn is lovely and spacious, and incredibly cosy — the perfect setting for a festive Cotswolds escape! Emma had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree set up for our arrivals as well as other Christmas decorations throughout. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, and although their home is on the property, the barn felt completely private, peaceful, and secluded throughout our stay. It was just us, the sheep and the free-range chickens! The property is ideally located for discovering the Cotswolds, and also great for walking and exploring the local area. It’s a special place that created wonderful memories for our family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas stay. We would return in a heartbeat. We stay as a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 children) for nine nights in summer. The small village itself has a nice stream for jumping in puddles and fields to enjoy all of the sheep and is a very short drive to other villages with pubs and restaurants. Also very centrally located for the larger Cotswolds attractions. Emma was an exceptional host and very responsive and helpful during the entire day and our check-in/check-out. We would definitely say again for an extended holiday.
