Once the renovation is done, this would be 4.5/5.0 for this type of property. Comfortable, quiet and everything you need for a few days. Only improvement I recommend is style of pillows: something a bit more robust is preferred.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and smelled fresh. Pool was very nice also. Staff was polite and very helpful! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Chose this hotel because they said they had an electric vehicle charger. Called and asked what type of charger they had. Was told it was a "regular charger" and not a Tesla charger. Upon arrival discovered it was a Tesla charger and we do not have an adapter for our CCS charger. The Lady at reception didn't seem concerned at all that we had been told erroneous info. Room was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately the room smelled very musty and had an underlying smoke smell to it. All we did was sleep in the room for one night, so it was not worth changing rooms.

I book this specific hotel because they had a Tesla charger and but the charger adapter was a broken and could not charge. I also wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness there was a sock left between the wall and the bed which makes be think they didn’t vacuum. There was a hair on the sheets that I hope came from the maid. On top of that there were random stains on the walls and ceiling and a lot of mold in the bathroom. If I was staying more than one night I would have left as soon as I got into the room.

Room appeared cleaned but floors were disgusting with dog pee smell. The furniture had been chewed up by dogs. Shower curtain about to fall off the walls. The glass was busted on the decor pictures. Not to mention property under reconstruction from 7am-7 pm even on the weekend. Kids couldn’t swim because of reconstruction. The lady at the front desk was the only nice thing on property.

Checking in was easy, parking is on the tight side-not enough parking spots. Our room was spacious but there was no decoration to the room. Hardly anything on the walls. Looks as if we were living in a dorm room on the first day.

The refrigerator still had someone else’s OPEN food & drinks in it. The bedroom window Was unlocked and slid open(room was ground floor) 2nd bed appeared to have dirty linemen on it so we had to cram into one bed. This was a stay as a result of my Moms passing & funeral. I didn’t not have the emotional strength to change rooms or even report the problems soooo we just dealt with it.

Hotel location is great, close to restaurants but you will need to drive anywhere. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The lobby and breakfast area are very clean. Breakfast was the same for the three mornings I was there but not complaining as it was very decent and staff always making sure area is clean and stocked . The room I got was overall clean but I spotted some dust and hair on hard to reach corners (probably would not bother anyone but I’m a bit observant). Bed was comfortable. Overall, a good stay!

The hotel was very nice. I made 2 different reservations due wanting to leave a little earlier, and one of staff members made it where at the end of the first reservations, we were able to stay in the same room the whole trip.

Front Desk Staff went above and beyond during our visit!! They had little Christmas baggies for the grandkids and even gave our SPED son his own Polar Express book!! We truly appreciate the kindness they showed him during our visit.

Barely slept an hour after a long drive. Was given a room on first floor. Loud guests and employees came and went down hallways all night and into the morning. I asked the front desk agent when checking in for a room on another floor because I had experienced this same thing once before at this hotel. She said they didn’t have any although when looking online they had plenty of other rooms. I’ve stayed here probably a dozen times over the years while visiting family but this was my last. I’ll never book again.

We had stayed at this location previously while visiting our grandson. Once we arrived, we were informed there was a large party and our king room was needed. The solution?... The lady at the front desk upgraded our room! It was wonderful! The breakfast was top notch, as well!

The hotel and staff are nice. Because of the elevation it’s really hard to find the driveways into the parking lot, at night it’s really difficult. Some electors and both entrances wouldn’t hurt. Unfortunately we stayed a night when there were some really loud visitors. Hotel did address the issue, but it took a while.

Breakfast was the same for the three mornings I was there but not complaining as it was very decent and staff always making sure area is clean and stocked . The staff were wonderful and the property clean. Access to the Palestine area community great. The hotel has aspects that are dated — for instance the bathroom. The pillows on the bed were not comfortable.

This time was just as great as the last time I stayed here. The people are great. Lots of smiles and Thank Yous from everyone you come in contact with. The place was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Forgot my swim suit so I didn't get to use that this time. They have the cooked breakfast bar in the morning. Eggs, sausage, and home fries. What more could you ask for.

We had stayed at this location previously while visiting our grandson. Once we arrived, we were informed there was a large party and our king room was needed. The solution?... The lady at the front desk upgraded our room! It was wonderful! The breakfast was top notch, as well!

Because it’s a dog friendly property the smell was evident. Clean rugs more often would be my suggestion. Otherwise it was fine. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

We've always had good luck staying at La Quinta's in the past and this was no exception. It was a little bit higher priced than some of the other hotels and motels in the area but I've stayed in some of them in Palestine Texas before and they were pretty nasty so this was a welcome change to have a decent clean place to stay. They did not have a handicapped room available but they offered me a shower chair to use in my tub and it was ridiculous it was twice as wide as the tub it didn't fit in there there was no shower sprayer and to make matters worse the shampoo and conditioner bottles were permanently bolted to the wall in the shower but it was the wall behind me and I was supposed to be sitting in a chair with a back on it needless to say I had to stand in a take a quick shower without the chair and it was quite miserable. See the attached picture. The free breakfast was typical Hotel free breakfast there were reconstituted scrambled eggs and sausage I believe there was biscuits and gravy and things like yogurt Bagels toast Etc. Definitely not Gourmet but it was fine and it was free.

The room was very clean. The hallways also. I have stayed at this particular hotel several times before. It is easy to get to off the loop. Even my wife feels very safe when she has stayed here alone while traveling. On this visit the afternoon personnel, Robert Markel I believe, was very helpful. Check in was quick and efficient. I was on the second floor. Everything worked! The air conditioning was so cold! The ice machine worked. The pool area looked clean and inviting. I would give a 10 out of 10 if the scale went that high. Thank you for a restful stay.
