Great spot! House is fantastic, they did a really nice job with the remodeling and renovating. We loved the deck as well—gets a good amount of sun and is a good hangout spot. The yard is huge for games like frisbee and tossing a football. Only demerit is the dock—for one, it needs some redoing because it's falling apart. And two, it's not really set up to walk directly into the water because of lily pads and debris/rocks. But the community beach is within walking distance, so still not too shabby. And otherwise a really phenomenal spot. We had a great time!

Property was immaculate, house was fully stocked, everything was labeled. House was very comfortable and updated. Yard was large, plenty of room for games. Kayaks and paddle boats were great. Overall we would definitely rent this location again!

The house was very clean and decorated nicely with lake and beach theme accents. The best part was the large windows that looked out on the lake. We enjoyed paddling around the small lake with the kayaks.The gorgeous fsunsets were easily viewed from the property.

The house was immaculate and the neighborhood was peaceful. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed dining on the back deck, using the firepit at night and cooking in the well supplied kitchen. My husband even got to explore the pond using one of the kayaks. Overall fantastic experience.

We had a very nice couple of days. Lovely home. Just as advertised. We had the large pond pond almost to ourselves to kayak for hours. It was unseasonably hot so we didn’t get to hike in the woods but the trails are well marked and seven miles or so right from the home. We’d definitely stay again.

The house was great for relaxing and enjoying the early summer season in NE. The host was super responsive to a few minor details. The house had everything we (4 seniors) needed and we enjoyed the hike at the end of the street. A favorite part was enjoying morning coffee on the small floating dock.

First, the good things. The home is lovely and immaculately clean. Kitchen very well equipped. But we booked for four nights and left after one. Here’s why. We chose this property because my husband has mobility issues, and it was all on one level. But another major reason we chose it was that it was advertised with a picture of a dock extending out well into the pond which the description said was stocked for fishing. When we arrived, the dock we saw in the picture was not there. Just the float with three Adirondacks chairs. So, no fishing out in the pond was possible , a main reason we chose the place, hoping my husband could fish from the dock. Also, the gas grill was filthy. We had brought food to grill for the three nights of our visit, but we ended up cooking our one dinner in the kitchen. A disappointment. You need to get rid of the picture of the dock and stop advertising fishing. I looked carefully at the pond’s edge ,where we could have either fly fished or thown spinning rods out into the water, and there were so many weeds that fishing would basically have been impossible. Sorry for the disappointing report. We were disappointed to spend over $2,000 on what amounted to one rather miserable night.

We had such a wonderful time at the lakehouse. It had everything we needed. The peddle boat and kayaks we great. Hiking the trails was a lot of fun. Our family was looking for a low key relaxing vacation and it was exactly what we had. I would definitely stay here again.

Well maintained, extensive outfitting w/ games, books, boats, well appointed kitchen, beautiful lake, nice view from house, quiet (at least in off season when we stayed). Several nice restaurants nearby too, only not open Mon-Wed. Overall, would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at this beautiful waterfront cottage! The place was spotless and very well appointed with everything we needed. The cottage is just as lovely as the photos. The view was outstanding and the foliage around the waters edge was beginning to change. The host was very helpful and so quick to respond to a small issue. I would highly recommend staying here and will book again in the future.

This cottage is just as listed. Clean, comfortable, updated, lots of room to relax. The property is on a lovely lot right on the water, and it was gorgeous. Thanks for a wonderful visit. We’ll come back soon.

Beautiful, clean cottage in a quiet neighborhood. My mistake was I thought it was on a lake and wanted to just relax on the water. However it was just a small pond, the yard and the dock was littered with duck poop, impossible to enjoy the yard or the dock. Host was nice and quick to respond and ordered a cleaning device but we had to clean the dock but it was same next day! Overall indoor was great but the outside was not !

Great view of the lake, however disappointed in several things. As soon as we arrived, a smoke detector was chirping. Host was very responsive when messaged& were able to resolve. However, there continued to be some other device that chirped throughout our stay. Never figured out what it was. Overall, whole place just seemed cheap well cleaned- kitchen sponge obviously used, leftover water from who knows when in the teapot, fans covered in dust. Lots of small things we could mention, but overall not clean& lots of rust on things. I've also never stayed in a place that didn't provide laundry detergent or Tide pods, so we had to go buy that. Microwave turntable doesn't work &the vents above are filthy. Expired condiments in fridge. I also feel like people who provide 2in1 shampoo/conditioner &zero-ply individually wrapped toilet paper rolls are just ng cheap. Master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. Place just seemed junky overall- like when the owners have crap they don't want at their house they put it in this one- i.e. kitchen drawers just filled with junk, 1000 pens, etc. We also contacted the owner about the kitchen sprayer that wouldn't turn off- they offered to come by the next day to fix it, so that was nice. So overall, enjoyed the location &the quiet &my kids loved the toys that were provided& the selection of books, &all the squirrels &chipmunks that would visit. Also appreciated kids stepstool in bathroom &offer of late checkout, but wouldn't stay again.

Nicole and Jason were incredible hosts. They were quick to respond, and were extremely helpful. The house was extremely clean, and we loved the open concept. One of our family members is in a wheelchair, and was able to get around the house with ease. The house was fully equipped with towels, blankets, bedding, dishes, and more. Overall, an exceptional experience.

My husband and I stayed for three nights and I only wish it could have been longer. The house was clean, comfortable and we felt very much at home. Watching the sunset, while relaxing in the Adirondack chairs on the dock, was my favorite part of the day. Coffee on the swing bench was a close second.

My family and I needed a nice, quiet, comfortable place to stay for a family wedding in nearby Bedford. Nicole’s home was absolutely perfect!! The grounds with the lake view were so beautiful, the home was clean, comfortable with a lot of room! There’s a nice hiking trail in walking distance to the house which we were able to utilize. The trail is perfect for an easy stroll and anyone looking to get outside but not get into anything too strenuous. My family and I needed a nice, quiet, comfortable place to stay for a family wedding in nearby Bedford. Nicole’s home was absolutely perfect!! The grounds with the lake view were so beautiful, the home was clean, comfortable with a lot of room! There’s a nice hiking trail in walking distance to the house which we were able to utilize. The trail is perfect for an easy stroll and anyone looking to get outside but not get into anything too strenuous. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t thank Nicole enough for giving us a place to come together as family and make memories!!

Lovely home on a cute pond in New Hampshire. Enjoyed kayaking on the pond and hanging out in the yard. Would stay here again to visit family locally. Twin beds are definitely very firm, other than that, no complaints!

We loved our stay at this beautiful waterfront cottage! The place was spotless and very well appointed with everything we needed. The cottage is just as lovely as the photos. The view was outstanding and the foliage around the waters edge was beginning to change. The host was very helpful and so quick to respond to a small issue. I would highly recommend staying here and will book again in the future.

I had an absolutely horrible experience with the owner of this property and I would recommend that anyone considering staying here avoids this place like the plague. I messaged the owner FOUR MONTHS in advance asking her to make sure that the kayaks pictured in the main photo for this property would be available for my stay from April 29th to May 1st. When I showed up on April 29th, the kayaks were locked in a shed. I texted both her and her husband multiple times about this at 2pm Saturday afternoon and I didn't hear back from them until 9pm Saturday night. This is a direct quote of her response when I finally heard back from her: "Hi [my name] sorry we still have not gotten home from the airport yet and live an hour from the lakehouse. We don't usually take the kayaks out and put the dock in until mid to late May. However my husband said he can go over tomorrow to get the kayacks out of you def want to use them as I am sure the water is still ice cold. Lol" The description of this property did not (at the time of my booking) say ANYTHING about the kayaks not being available until May. When I texted the owner back and expressed that I was extremely disappointed with the inaccurate description of her property, I never heard back from her for the remainder of my stay and her husband never came to get the kayaks out. VRBO was very concerned when I contacted them, and they are currently investigating the owner. This host is a clueless nightmare. Do NOT stay here!!!

Great view of the lake, however disappointed in several things. As soon as we arrived, a smoke detector was chirping. Host was very responsive when messaged& were able to resolve. However, there continued to be some other device that chirped throughout our stay. Never figured out what it was. Overall, whole place just seemed cheap well cleaned- kitchen sponge obviously used, leftover water from who knows when in the teapot, fans covered in dust. Lots of small things we could mention, but overall not clean& lots of rust on things. I've also never stayed in a place that didn't provide laundry detergent or Tide pods, so we had to go buy that. Microwave turntable doesn't work &the vents above are filthy. Expired condiments in fridge. I also feel like people who provide 2in1 shampoo/conditioner &zero-ply individually wrapped toilet paper rolls are just ng cheap. Master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. Place just seemed junky overall- like when the owners have crap they don't want at their house they put it in this one- i.e. kitchen drawers just filled with junk, 1000 pens, etc. We also contacted the owner about the kitchen sprayer that wouldn't turn off- they offered to come by the next day to fix it, so that was nice. So overall, enjoyed the location &the quiet &my kids loved the toys that were provided& the selection of books, &all the squirrels &chipmunks that would visit. Also appreciated kids stepstool in bathroom &offer of late checkout, but wouldn't stay again.

Nicole and Jason were incredible hosts. They were quick to respond, and were extremely helpful. The house was extremely clean, and we loved the open concept. One of our family members is in a wheelchair, and was able to get around the house with ease. The house was fully equipped with towels, blankets, bedding, dishes, and more. Overall, an exceptional experience.

The location is great, the unit was well equipped. Unfortunately, we had a non functioning kitchen sink. We complaint to the host, however, no solution was found. We ended up clearing the kitchen sink from water throughout our entire vacation. We asked for a partial refund and we got nothing, beside a "late checkout" which we obviously did not want with a non-functioning sink. Due to the low maintenance of the unit, I would suggest to strongly consider your stay.

Beautiful, clean cottage in a quiet neighborhood. My mistake was I thought it was on a lake and wanted to just relax on the water. However it was just a small pond, the yard and the dock was littered with duck poop, impossible to enjoy the yard or the dock. Host was nice and quick to respond and ordered a cleaning device but we had to clean the dock but it was same next day! Overall indoor was great but the outside was not !

We had a great time at the dunbarton cottage. Place was perfect for our family of 5 (kids ages 5,3, 2 months). Pack n play was helpful! Location was great for us- kids loved swimming and boating from the dock, playing at the “little beach” down the street and exploring with short hikes at the end of the road. Home was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Enjoyed dinners on the deck. Great home!

Great spot! House is fantastic, they did a really nice job with the remodeling and renovating. We loved the deck as well—gets a good amount of sun and is a good hangout spot. The yard is huge for games like frisbee and tossing a football. Only demerit is the dock—for one, it needs some redoing because it's falling apart. And two, it's not really set up to walk directly into the water because of lily pads and debris/rocks. But the community beach is within walking distance, so still not too shabby. And otherwise a really phenomenal spot. We had a great time!

The house was immaculate and the neighborhood was peaceful. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed dining on the back deck, using the firepit at night and cooking in the well supplied kitchen. My husband even got to explore the pond using one of the kayaks. Overall fantastic experience.

We had a very nice couple of days. Lovely home. Just as advertised. We had the large pond pond almost to ourselves to kayak for hours. It was unseasonably hot so we didn’t get to hike in the woods but the trails are well marked and seven miles or so right from the home. We’d definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed for three nights and I only wish it could have been longer. The house was clean, comfortable and we felt very much at home. Watching the sunset, while relaxing in the Adirondack chairs on the dock, was my favorite part of the day. Coffee on the swing bench was a close second.

So many nice aspects; a challenge to summarize. Cottage living spaces were comfortable. We spent time reading, listening to music, and playing cards … Kitchen had everything we needed for our meals … Sun sets directly across from property … makes for beautiful views … Kayaks make touring the lake easy … Fire pit and surrounding chairs made for a nice place to watch a sunset … Nice restaurants within a few miles … Sully’s Superette and Ace hardware store had stuff we forgot to bring … Convenient but not so close that the quiet of the area is disturbed … Just overall a very nice place.

First, the good things. The home is lovely and immaculately clean. Kitchen very well equipped. But we booked for four nights and left after one. Here’s why. We chose this property because my husband has mobility issues, and it was all on one level. But another major reason we chose it was that it was advertised with a picture of a dock extending out well into the pond which the description said was stocked for fishing. When we arrived, the dock we saw in the picture was not there. Just the float with three Adirondacks chairs. So, no fishing out in the pond was possible , a main reason we chose the place, hoping my husband could fish from the dock. Also, the gas grill was filthy. We had brought food to grill for the three nights of our visit, but we ended up cooking our one dinner in the kitchen. A disappointment. You need to get rid of the picture of the dock and stop advertising fishing. I looked carefully at the pond’s edge ,where we could have either fly fished or thown spinning rods out into the water, and there were so many weeds that fishing would basically have been impossible. Sorry for the disappointing report. We were disappointed to spend over $2,000 on what amounted to one rather miserable night.

What a perfect place for a relaxing vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed the lake house. Views of the lake from many rooms, a wonderful deck for grilling and eating, and a great dock to watch the sunset. Our trip was a little too early in the season to enjoy the kayaks and paddleboats - so we will just need to return! The house is walking distance to a set of trails for an enjoyable and low key hike. Across the street is a playground and two minutes down the road is a small beach great for small children. The house itself is very well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were games a plenty for every age group, soccer and basketballs, and lots of lawn games. Excellent communication with the homeowners! We hope to return!
