Trivelles Mayfair,stockport

We had a problem at home with electric therefore needed to stay close to stockport due to work next morning.we’ve stayed here once before, it’s a nice cosy hotel room spacious room 106. We needed a microwave and initially was put in a room without one. However kind lady on the reception helped with this request hence room 106. Shower was excellent for me. Bed was not comfy felt small as my husband is tall, Mattress was springy. Overall got what we needed thanks a lot.

I spent 2 nights at the Trivelles Mayfair as I was in the area for work. When I first entered the room it had an odd smell and was very warm. The wardrobe was situated in the most awkward place but that wasn’t the worst thing. On my last night I noticed a small clear packet that had been shoved down the chair in the corner of the room. I looked closer and saw it was a clear packet which contained a white powder. It takes a lot for me to complain and I looked past the other unclean aspects of the room. However, I honestly find this disgusting, unprofessional and inexcusable. Clearly the housekeeping is not at all thorough. And I am just glad I was travelling alone and not with family including younger members! After seeing this I could not wait to leave and was contemplating sleeping in my car. After seeing everything I felt like I didn’t want to walk on the floor even in socks let alone barefoot after a shower. The shower was either freezing or red hot. There was also no hairdryer in the room/bathroom which was stated there was. I did have another 3 nights booked for the following week however I have cancelled this stay due to feeling unsafe and from what I have seen of the room and the rest of the hotel very unhygienic! Wish I had read the reviews!

Customer care Zero especially for those arriving after11pm We had no choice but to book it a second time just to give them a second chance. During our previous stay the communial staircarpet smell terrible. Smoking was being done in the bedrooms and no wifi even though advertised. We all had to congugate in the very small entrance lobby inorder to get wifi.

The accommodation is basic. It is clean and access is easy. It is very fairly priced. Useful having a car park on site. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Perfectly adequate for our needs.

Check in staff were wonderful, but this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The family room was in a dark, stuffy attic, and I had to carry heavy luggage up and down the stairs, as there's no lift. My card didnt work, and as reception isn’t staffed until 11am, I had to sit for ages waiting for someone to fix my card. The contact phone numbers left on the wall got no reply. Beds were not made or changed in the entire stay (3 days) The area is pretty grim with nowhere to eat or shop for food, other than a petrol station and takeaway about half a mile walk away.

I Enjoyed my weekend stay the room was nice and the receptionist was friendly. The only thing that was a complete let down was the WIFI it was completely useless and didn't work.

Parking free next to hotel

Perfectly adequate for a sleepover. Better than it looks from the roadside! Staff were pleasant. Parking is good. Rooms are good. Facilities are good. Would stay again.

Room dirty- hand smudges on 2 of the walls, stains on carpet, toilet wouldn’t flush properly, shower stains. Just felt very unclean. Very unkempt run down place in general. Bins overflowing outside.

Room wasn’t very clean carpet very dirty. Microwave had 2 boxes of left over pizza and chips left in it absolutely disgusting. No heating in bathroom. Radiator wasn’t working in bedroom had small electric heater but not the best as dried the air! No where to hang coats. Bits of old coffee and sugar left on tray with condiments on. Tiles in shower and shower tray dirty and had mould toilet seat broken. Very few amenities in room no mirror in room only one in bathroom. Carpets in corridors were all filthy too! Only good thing about it was the helpful receptionist very pleasant check in but glad too check out . Made some of the worst Blackpool b&bs look 5 star! From the outside it doesn’t look like it is looked after as it has 2 conservatories one at front and one at rear some windows at front bored up and others at back are all white washed. We booked as was free parking and easy access via bus into Manchester for the Xmas markets.

I arrived at the property on the Monday evening and was left waiting outside for a good 10mins, as there was no-one on reception to open the doors, which you had to ring a bell for to gain access. The room that I was given was up in the eaves, with only one skylight window. The blackout blind on it was tatty to say the least. The carpet in the room was so old and dirty that I didn’t want to walk on it, even in socks. The bedding, although clean, had several hairs on the pillowcases, likely from the housekeeper. The en-suite floor was in a state of disrepair and again, I didn’t want to walk on it in bare feet. The shower head was full of limescale and the shower heat control was awful. It was either scalding hot or too cold. Any slight movement on the control handle would send the water temperature to the extreme in either direction. Apart from that, the bed itself was comfortable and the tiling in the bathroom was at least clean and tidy. All in all, the whole property inside and out, is in a state of disrepair and in need of investment to bring it up to a habitable standard imo.

The hotel was nothing like the photos. It is boarded up at the front and overgrown. The room had dirty bedsheets and was very unclean. It was incredibly hot and smelt of smoke. It felt rather unsafe. We found bloody tissues left on the stair. Would not recommend anyone staying here. We left after 1 night and it was not cheap.

Dirty, fresh blood on towels and on quilt cover! , when i removed cover , bad dirty stains on duvet horrendous, dusty, hard to find any receptionist, stunk of old smoke, yukky dirt ridden smelly unsafe due to blood stains poss hepatitus, aids, scabies who knows ! Not a good place

Was very nervous after seeing the other reviews but as we were on a very tight budget we went for this as the cheapest option in stockport, but I was pleasantly surprised, the check in was great, the gentleman who checked us in asked if we wanted an upstairs or downstairs room and was really lovely. We were in room G01 and it was a lovely big room with the addition of a living room area. I think this would have been lovely in the summer but in Feb it is VERY cold so we didnt use that room, the bed was very comfortable and clean, would have liked a thicker quilt for thsi time of year as it was very chilly in the room. But I think this stay was great value and we were made to feel very welcome.

It was just a base to have a sleep before an early flight, check was quite quick however didn't find the guy on the reception very welcoming, he said we was in the attic room then changed us to a different room. We was next to a family room and the walls are thin so could here the TV from their room at first but this wasn't too much of a problem however an hour later all we could here was them screaming at each other ( my guess brother and sister arguing) this continued until around 1am when we was up at 4am for the flight. The room was fairly big but not spotlessly clean, bed comfy but pillows awful. The bathroom was really badly configured and shower cubicle had a curtain instead of a door causing a flood in the whole room when having a shower, toilet very close to wall and toilet tissue holder in a very weird place behind the toilet. The heater in the toilet also didn't work. Just pay a bit extra and stay somewhere else!!

Pictures are very catfished. Overall the property was very run down, staff weren't very helpful. Bedroom was unclean, tv hanging off the wall, kettle full of dirt, shower had no attachments, room was extremely warm there was a fan in the room went to plug it in to find there was no wire. Toilet was plocked right near the sink so my partner being almost 6ft had difficulty sitting down as there was a sink right infront of the toilet with little leg room. Only good thing about this visit is the bed was comfy ish.

hotel was okay but not much nearby no shops just a garage. Bed comfy room spacious had microwave & a mini fridge. Paid £50 for one night check out at 11am. Clean enough but toilet too near sink !!.. Did not use shower.. Room got too hot as was the attic room so could not sleep !!!.

Lovely quiet hotel with everything you need. It was very hot in my room but it was the hottest days of the year during my stay and thankfully it cooled down at night. Shower was great. Staff were friendly. 20 minutes walk from stockport town center so ideal location

This is NOT as described is not a 3 star hotel or a serviced apartment There was a broken tray and lamp that I could have cut myself on they should have been replaced There was no night staff or security so I had to sleep outside my room from 3 am to 11 am on Saturday despite reception saying I can access the hotel at anytime When I ask reception what the issue was with the keycard it was only programmed for one night rather than three I then had to explain 3 times I was staying for three night not 1 and get the card reprogrammed There was no one there yesterday when I tried to check out and complain at 10:50 am The customer service is zero The training is poor for staff as per the key issue The standard of maintenance and cleanliness of the Room is NOT as describe or acceptable The fact there are no staff on after 11am made me feel unsafe and if there was a medical episode or the hotel had a flood or fire there is no staff or managers there The outside of the building looks as if the place has been closed down There was dust in the lamp and other areas that set off my asthma and Bronchitis Limescale in the kettle made me sick There are marks on the pillows quilt and mattress The toilet brush was dirty and should have been replaced I require a FULL refund

Staff very helpf

Car park not that big so arrive early… reception rarely has staff there and they don’t answer the phone when you ring for them. When the staff do arrive it’s like going to Karen’s diner… Rooms are dirty, warm and smelly, curtains were filthy and crispy they were that dirty. Window did open as the lock was broken tho! Hairdryer in every room is a lie… you have to go and ask for one then wait your turn as they have a couple that they hand out…mine never arrived despite requesting it. Don’t be fooled by the midday check out it’s 1030 and they are banging on your door at 1031 (only time you will see staff!) 12 of us stayed but only one key per room so if your sharing come back together or one will get locked out and will have to sleep outside as there are no staff around to let you in… you may get lucky and another guest will let you in but if your like one of our party whose room has someone dead to the world in it you will find yourself sleeping in the corridor. You will leave the bathroom dirtier than you entered it and good luck going to the loo… For a half decent nights sleep get super drunk which still may not do the trick.

Close to city

I'm really not picky, and don't expect much when the prices are low. But I do expect the basics: a safe, clean, reasonably comfortable room, and that was lacking here. I wouldn't stay again. Pros: Nice staff at check-in, easy and free parking. Well located. Cons: Room smelt of smoke, mattress the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on, wardrobe fell onto me when I opened the door, shower cold in the morning.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was good with a great shower. Overallbthe room was clean, but a couple of surfaces had been missed. The bed was very comfortable. The staff member on check-in was very friendly. The location was perfect for getting to Manchester and Stockport by bus, train or car.

Cheap and convenient for a one night stopover when taking our son to uni. Went out for excellent tapas locally in the evening before heading home on the morning. Staff were friendly and the room was clean enough for the money. Would recommend without costing too much.
